We were happy with our booked room, beds were comfy, personnel at reception was always very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, and we got a nice thank you note from the lady that cleaned our room because we left her a tip (first time we ever got this at a hotel at all). As we were travelling with friends we asked for rooms close to each other when we booked our rooms and the hotel accommodated this. It was our second stay here and we chose the hotel again specifically because of location (close to cable car end station at Powell Street and public transport, Target around the corner) and the price for parking was cheaper than other hotels. WiFi worked well, too.

Everything was great! Nice staff, yummy breakfast, and flexible service. We needed to extend our stay a bit and we were immediately accommodated.

We paid for breakfast with our booking, which was unnecessary. They have an in-house restaurant with good service and yummy breakfasts. As this restaurant is where pre-booked breakfasts are served alongside those choosing from the menu, it would have been better to know this ahead of time and have the choice to choose our breakfast from the menu as well. As it was, we were served breakfast options we didn't prefer and our own choices were available for just a few dollars more.

It was a great price for a trendy clean hotel that is on the same block as a BART station. Made getting there from the airport very easy.

No coffee maker in the room. There is free coffee on the 5th floor, but that's first come first serve.

Almost everything about this hotel/stay was exceptional. The staff; from the front desk, to serving in the restaurant to the cleaning staff were all extremely professional and courteous. We asked for help in storing our luggage after our checkout and they did so with a smile. Even when we returned to leave some jackets/backpacks they worked with us with a smile. The food in the restaurant (breakfast) was exceptional and we enjoyed the fact that breakfast was served until 11am (weekend). The location is excellent for exploring the center of the city and north to Russian hill and east to the embarcadero. We walked quite a bit during our stay and there were plenty of restaurants, cinema, theaters and other attractions to enjoy. The room itself was small but comfortable and clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The decor is modern and sparce but had no impact in our enjoyment. The room was quiet (8th floor) and the elevators were the fastest I've ever experienced in a hotel. The location is exceptional for those exploring Chinatown and surrounding area. The gym is well cared fore. It is clean with Peloton bike, treadmills, Precor step machine and assorted kettle bells, weighted balls, dumbbells and a multi-purpose machine. I enjoyed it a lot. A special call out to the front desk. They were exceptional in every instance. We did not make use of the valet service for parking though it is available.

What is not to like? My only complain could possibly be the bathroom doorway is very close to the bed as the room is somewhat small (but not cramped). It has a pocket door so unless you're very relaxed with your room mate you may find it a little small. The tile in the shower could use a good scrubbing but that is a very minor issue that I have to choose to say anything negative.

Some of the best staff we've encountered. We arrived incredibly early in the day. They were so friendly greeting us in, pre-checked us in to make the process easier, stored our bags while we walked around the city to explore, got us rooms near each other (two parties), and pushed us up on the priority list for rooms. We were actually able to get our rooms 2-3 hours earlier than the check in time.

I guess it would have been nice to have upgraded showers, but that's just me being very critical. Some homeless people in the area, but that's to be expected anywhere in a city, however, the doors into the hotel and the elevators require a room key for entry anyways.

Nice room, comfortable bed

Being charged an extra $39.90. Ridiculous! When I queried this I was informed it was for Wifi and tea and coffee. That is a lot of Wifi & tea & coffee for 3 people over 1 night. Why are these costs not built into the quoted price, not lurking in the Small print. It was a nice hotel , great staff and a perfect location. However, we had stayed 1 night in another hotel in the same area 2 weeks prior and our bill was $200 cheaper. Thanks Hotel Zelos, I won’t be back. Felt a bit ripped off!

The location of our rooms was great! The beds were comfortable. The room was clean.

A stand up shower would have been appreciated. No one needs a tub anymore. The bathroom could be larger. Checkout- I asked for an in person checkout because my sister and I planned to split bill evenly on our credit cards. When we came to check out, they had already settled the bill on my credit card and could not undo because of some software update. That was not the deal and we were upset about that.

Location is fantastic. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Very good overall.

The size of the beds could have been improved. The room was a good size, clearly large enough to accommodate two queen size beds, but it came with two double beds which made it a little less comfortable than it could have been. For a hotel of this caliber, that seems like an easy fix. Also, other than for breakfast the restaurant was not open from Sunday through Tuesday, which limited our options for things like room service. And there was some confusion at the breakfast cafe about how to utilize the ten dollar voucher that we received.

The staff were exceptional the room clean and bed super comfortable

We were looking forward to going to the dirty habit unfortunately it was closed. We understand but look forward to visiting again so we can enjoy this great bar

We loved the room and the great view. The hotel was right on the tram car line and it was fun getting around on them. There were a ton of things to do near us.

Hallways were noisy and the restaurant wasn’t open on Sunday.
