I so much appreciated the security staff. I had a problem with connecting to the internet. I went down to the lobby for help, but everyone was busy and the lines were long. The security person in the lobby saw me and ask if he could help. I quickly explained my issue and he quickly solved my problem. That was very impressive to me. I have spent a great deal of time in hotels and having security fix an issue that would normally be the responsibility of another area of the hotel was not something I would have expected. That person moved the level of provided service way above normal.

parking was confusing, along with the entry with my car.

Cleanliness and free water

I didn’t like the staff in the breakfast area kept interrogating me & calling their manager every morning to confirm if breakfast was included in my booking. Then I watched white customers or family arrived for breakfast and a staff walked towards them, greeted them and seated them without interrogating them like they did with me. That’s the one issue I had during my stay.

This hotel is right in the middle of downtown Oakland. The room had a great view of the bay and San Francisco.

This is not the hotel's fault but unfortunately, it's located in a HIGH car break in area. If you drive to this hotel, you will want to valet your car for sure! If you park it on the street, you will have a probable chance of having your vehicle broken into (especially if you're driving a Tesla.)This is no exaggeration!

love this location. very convenient. rooms are great, very comfortable. staff are super nice

this is the second time I’ve stayed there in a month and both times it was too warm in my room and the temperature would not go lower. Last time I stayed there I enjoyed the restaurant and lounge. this time the restaurant had a very limited selection and was pricey for what you got. the wine prices per bottle were ridiculous even by normal restaurant standards for substandard wine.

The views from the room are amazing, especially for sunrise in the morning. The room was clean and spacious with modern amenities. I really like the decor and aesthetics of the room.

I didn't like the walking distance for self-parking, it was not convenient for checking in/out. Opted for valet which was a slightly better option but had to wait 10+ minutes as our car is parked in the same garage as self-parking.

We were satisfied with everything but one thing about our stay. Otherwise we would diffinately stay again.

We are not sure what the constant rumbling noise that was going on. There was a giant generator across the street or just the general noise of the heating system. We were on the 5th floor street side with large windows. It was on the triangular edge.

took a minute to figure out where food was. Overnight parking fee is excessive for late arrival and early departure, parking is not hotel owned and the booking said there was onsite parking but actually you have to pay and walk a bit

Check in was very easy though I came around noon, I still manage to be checked in my room at that time instead of waiting for 4 hours to check in at a later time. Then bathroom was very wide & nice; I loved the bathtub, it was very nice! Bed was very comfortable too))

If each room can have a microwave or on each floor there's a microwave would've been better) That way will save me more time if I need to heat my food.

We came into town for a baseball game at the Coliseum and the BART was right across the street from the hotel so it was really convenient for us.

Parking was $45 a night for in and out privileges or $40 to just park it. Also there is no store or restaurant close that is open late if you need like toiletries or food. Buy food for the room before you go out of you are coming back to the room late or pay $7 for a cup of noodles in the lobby. Also the shower water alternated between really really hot and really cold. Couldn't figure out hot to maintain a temperature.

Big room with an awesome view to downtown, quiet in the room, enough elevators so you don't have any waiting times. Restaurant onsite and you can drop into BART to go to San Francisco (in fact our main reason, so you can leave your car here).

A bit on the expensive side, but that's the whole area. All in all it was worth the money.
