Pacific Shores Inn - Morro Bay

We had a room with an ocean view but Mother Nature didn't cooperate and it was cold/foggy/windy. But the room was really large and we liked that a lot. Nice large vanity area to spread out my cosmetics etc and nice towels. The host, Daniel, was utterly charming and since we were only going to be there the one night I had asked to check in a bit early and we got into our room around 2. Since it was cold the room needed warming up and we had a devil of a time trying to figure out the control on the heater/air conditioner. Ultimately took the control down to the office and got instructions. The icons on the control are really opaque but Daniel helped us out. A notice in the room would be nice.

The room had a lovely view of the Morro Rock and the Bay. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel was walking distance to shopping and restaurants. There was plenty of parking. The windows were large enough for the view. I recommend this hotel.

It was difficult to figure out the TV guide on the screen. It needs to be a lot easier to get the channels or programs that is listed. Maybe some instructions in how to figure out how to obtain the channels or programs that is listed.

This property was two blocks to the Harbour and yet still close to Main Street. We had a disability room by default. Although it gives you more space, you have no table and chairs to eat at. 

If you stay at this property, you should bring your own linens. It is like having paper towels. The TV set up is weird, you cannot easily find your programming.

Location is the highlight. From the Pacific Shores Inn, it's a 5 minute walk to the Embarcadero and a 1 minute walk to Downtown Morro Bay. All the restaurants and coffee shops are within reach. I especially love the view of Morro Rock from my 3rd floor room. Everyday was a pleasure to watch the sunrise and sunset over Morro Rock. I had a King suite room. It was spacious and airy. There's a microwave and mini refrigerator that came in handy. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Staff was friendly and informative, which made the stay more inviting. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. Security cameras were everwhere and the location of the hotel was in a nice part of town. Overall, great location and good value for the accommodations.

No elevator for those who are handicapp. So, stick with first floor rooms instead.

I have been to Morro Bay on various occasions however this was by far the best I have stayed in. Great location, very clean, great wifi and great location. Morro Bay is a great distance for a road trip south from Frisco. I shall stay here again without a doubt on my next visit.

Hotel staff were amazing. Location was simply excellent. Clean. Very, very comfortable bed! Large room. View if the rock!

We got placed on the bottom floor near the stairs and there was a ton of foot traffic in front of our window all day and a lot of the night. The TV is way too small.

Good location and free parking. It was clean.

A lot of noise from above us as we were on ground floor, and from outside. We could hear every step from our above neighbor. It was also very light in the room during the night as the windows have only shutters and the outside lights are pretty bright. The shutters aren't enough. For low season, it was still too expensive.

They were very nice and very accommodating. There was construction going on so the parking lot was very crowded, but we still had a spot available to us at all times. Location was awesome and a quick walk to the Embarcadero and lots of restaurants and shops. Great value!

The ocean/Morro Rock view from the 3d floor was better than I had expected. I could actually see them from my room. The room itself was very large and had everything from fridge/microwave to a window in the shower. The bed looked/felt better than in other motels I have been to this year. I'd stay in the same room again.

Check in at 4 pm is inconvenient but probably understandable. Street parking is abundant so it's not much of an issue anyway. It's not cheap on a weekend night. But then again what would you expect in mid-August.
