Jamestown Railtown Motel

You can walk by foot to the "walk of fame" and "Railtown 1897 Historic Park" which was a movie set for some 100 Hollywood movies. There are trains more than a 100 years old in the outdoor area. Great location for the whole family, entrance fee 5,00 $ ! We spend 3 hours in the amazing location. The main street in town is also a nice place to be.

The advertisement and signs to the state park could be better. we found the park just by chance.

The owners/front desk persons were very kind and accommodating, the property was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was a quiet place to get a rest half way between Yosemite and San Francisco. No bugs were noted and I was very happy with the comfort and cleanliness for the price! Super affordable for students. The town was very cute too but everything opens after 11am, which is pretty normal for these adorable country towns.

I noticed the sofa hadn't been cleaned out under the cushion, but I can understand why that is not a regularly cleaned location.

The property is older, but the room is clean! We initially didn’t purchase to use the jacuzzi tub, but it was clean so decided to pay for the up grade. The property is quiet, but walkable to Main Street.

The oversized chair in the room was broken, but that’s minor. It was also still usable.

Evonne brought us an actual coffee maker for the room so we wouldn't have to brave the cold morning to come to the office for coffee. The location is right off the main drag, so we walked through town and checked out some local places. Shower was hot, water pressure good, internet fast.

Really loved it here, came back to stay again. Room was massive and super comfortable, staff were super friendly and helpful, just had a really nice vibe there made us feel at home - had a nice dip in the pool and the town was lovely. And excellent value for money- would recommend.

We love the location it’s just a quick walk to the downtown area where there are a few good restaurants with friendly people. The owners are nice people at this hotel as well. Our room was clean and spacious and cool (getting hot out). It was also quiet! They are pet friendly as well.

Unfortunately those are the worst pillows I’ve ever used— flat as pancakes. We had to go buy some. I usually bring my own body pillow at least so glad I did. Bed hard too, but need at least some fluffy, supportive pillows to get comfortable. Other than that we had no other real complaints

Yvonne couldn't have been more accommodating. So helpful on what to do in town and where to eat. She even went out of her way to find a bathing suit for my granddaughter. She is the best! That's customer service!

No coffee in the room, but we found it in the office.

Very warm and welcoming owners. Room was clean All requesrs were fulfilled immedeately. I was really surprised by having jacuzzi in my room. It was adding much more fun to my trip to Yosemite. Will recommend this Motel to everybody.

The room is spacious, clean and had the amenities I needed. There is a nice TV, fridge and microwave. Beds are comfortable. I really appreciate good service and the lady at the front desk was nice and helpful.

It's a little in the older side of motels.
