We wanted to stay in Burbank, as we were visiting friends nearby, and the Safari Inn was perfectly located. Also, as it features in films such as True Romance, we thought it would be fun to stay in a famous venue. The staff were helpful, kind and courteous, and the hotel is well laid out in a motel-like structure, allowing easy access to your room from your parking space.
Aside from its famous references, the hotel itself is pretty simple, and while clean and functional, it is overall, a standard motel. The room facilities are somewhat basic, with a single sink and showers with good temperatures but low water pressure, and not even the slightest hint towards its famous past, which I found surprising. For the cost, I would have expected the hotel to lean in a little more, perhaps even putting up a few pictures of the films it has featured in, reminding guests of its pedigree. After all, the front desk has a reminder that it’s a popular hotel for tourists to the Universal Studios lot nearby, so why not join in on the action?

The front desk person was an absolute pleasure! GREAT demeanor, and personality! Check-in was at 4pm, but I arrived at 1:30pm. She didn’t bat an eye and checked me right into the perfect room! CUDOS to phenomenal customer service! Check-out was just as easy as well! Same front desk person.

The staff were amazing! Everyone of them! The place was spotless. Although the bathrooms are sadly outdated, the cleaning staff did an admirable job, making them as.comfortable as possible. The absolute best was the shuttle service, to and from the airport, and Universal Studios!

The room, kitchen and bathroom were clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. The bathroom was large and well equipped.
There was no iron or ironing board in the room, but you could request it. There also was no closet. There was a space to hang clothes, but the rack was right next to the TV, which I felt was a little small considering how far it was from the beds.

The location was really good, it was close to places to eat and you could easily get to the Hollywood stars walk of fame! The shuttle bus to universal studios was brilliant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was perfect as it was very hot!

For the price, this was a great option for a weekend stay in Burbank. The free shuttle to and from Burbank Airport was a great bonus. The room was super clean, and super comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly as well. The retro vibe made the whole stay feel very "Hollywood" too!

Great location and cool vintage feel with the neon sign. The staff was very helpful and the shuttle to and from Universal was useful.
