Everything was amazing from the staff that went above and beyond to meet needs and accommodations. Breakfast was included in the price which was a big plus. Very delicious and well made. The location is perfect as well, close to everything. Laura was over the top amazing. I rented a car and didn’t know my way around with the road signs or driving on the opposite side of the road. She was kind enough to let me look over at her daughter’s driving manual which helped alot. She went above and beyond

We loved everything, there’s nothing that i would change.

1-the location (in the middle of the town, near the central plaza) 2- authenticity of the inn 3- the room (nr 5) with street view 4- the beer (Tiger) from the bar 5- the breakfast (the english breakfast) the matress (soft) 6- the lady that helped me with the reservation of the taxi and who ask me about my trip purpose…. nice touch! -Thanks!! not this specific order

1-the smell of the bar downstairs (beer and old smoke in the wood) 2-the last day they forgot about my request (to prepare me some patries for to go… as I left at 7:30… althow it was time to open the kitchen)

Fantastic service.Friendly welcome. Room very clean and comfortable. Good facilities with kettle and nespresso machine. Good sound proofing on windows did even know the church bells were ringing on Sunday morning until we opened the windows. Good food in the pub for both dinner and breakfast. A great location to wander round Uppingham and the drive to explore Oakham and Rutland Water. Having free on street parking outside was a bonus.

The room was slightly on the small side but perfectly adequate for 1 night.

Beautiful room and bathroom - fab shower! Very friendly and helpful staff: boss and lieutenants. Right on the middle of a very attractive little town.

I’m not into karaoke, so I ate next door (Falcon Hotel) - which worked out well for everyone. Knowing now that the FH trades nearby - perhaps not on Booking.com - I might stay there the next time; but, this time, I was more than happy at The Crown.

Absolutely charming, characterful, immaculate AND with beautiful wallpaper! They allowed our dog to stay at no extra charge. Coffee and tea provided in the room. Bed was comfier than my son at home and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing not to like. If you’re not a fan of steep stairs/low ceilings in places, perhaps not perfect for you but I thought it only added to the charm of the place, and what you’d expect of an Inn that’s been there for centuries.

We were very pleased with the friendly, informal checking in process, the comfortable room and the location of the hotel in the centre of town. The building is obviously quite old and quirky. We were in Room 3 which is at the top of the building. A word of warning if you are over 6 foot tall. Watch out for the exposed beams which run across the corridor on the top floor. Don't forget to duck!

The hotel is well-located in the town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The wifi was good.

The walls were quite thin and so you could hear a lot from downstairs in the bar until closing and also other visitors closing the door and watching TV in the adjacent room.

The pub had a great atmosphere, it was busy for a tuesday night and had a quiz. Diner options were less due to this but still plenty to choose from, Tapas and pizza. The room was very comfy, lovely staff and great breakfast included in the price. Such a picturesque town too.

Lovely location. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Pizza was fantastic. Room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast.

The room was upstairs which was difficult for my aunt as she has poor mobility and we were unaware of this at the time of booking. There was a nasty smell in the room which seemed to come from the ensure.

Friendly warm welcome - genuinely historic building so expected wobbly floor and beams. Slept very well and nothing was too much trouble. We were above the bar on top floor and couldn’t hear any noise.
