The hotel rooms were spotless. They came every day to make the beds and tidy the room. The live music by the pool was great. Reception, shop and breakfast staff were lovely. It’s great that it has an indoor and outdoor pool.

The tables outside were very dirty and the whole area looked very messy by the end of the day. I’m not sure how often they are cleaned during the day. Apart from that we have no complaints and this alone isn’t enough to stop us booking again as we had a lovely time.

There's just everything under one roof it's brilliant Great location. Beach just 5 minutes down the road and the fun fair Great entertainment Plenty for children to do. Lots of swimming pools Family room was a good size with a bath and shower. Kettle and coffee tea and biscuits. Plenty of towels in the room. Housekeeping most days. Restaurant was lovely, cooked and continental breakfast. Plus you could ask them for other things that's not out. This is our second time of coming to the hotel but stayed in the derwent last time. But carlton was definitely more better

Location, facilities, parking.. Everything was good. People complained in other reviews about room being old and dated and bed uncomfortable. I didn't have any issues with the room. I'm not a snob. Room has everything you need Telly, wardrobe, drawers, towels,soap,fan, kettle and it's clean.That what matters to me. Was 4 of us staying and we all slept well. Was 30 degrees outside,but window fully opens so wasn't a problem not having an air con. So yes,I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel offers plenty of enjoyable activities, a clean swimming pool, a gym, and a spa. It is also close to the beach. With a beautiful smile, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. We informed the receptionist of the change in our return transportation to London, and she kindly stored our bags while we took advantage of the opportunity to explore the town centre. I will definitely recommend.

The hours that the outdoor pool is open are too short, and we were unable to use it because we had other reservations for activities outside the hotel during that period.

Cleaner left our door open after cleaning and we came back after a full day out to discover this. Restaurant staff were rushed off their feet and were clearly trying hard but many things were not refilled regularly such as fruit juice and hot food. There was a stale smoke smell in our room which stayed for the duration of our stay. The room was not as big as previous years in the Toorak. The kids beds were very uncomfortable.

too many steps for an older person, the towels in the bathroom room need to be bigger, I.e. bath sheets not small bath towels. I specifically asked for a walk in shower as my partner is 91 and can get into a bath so was unable to use it. Toiletries in bathroom could be better, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.

I rang the hotel to say had wheelchair and older lady who had sticks assured me are rooms we together and.next to lift .room for wheelchair was through 3 doors and narrow corridors .lady on stick had 10 steps down to go up another 10 or more to room .did ask to change rooms which we did .no fuss very good

I booked an apartment and I was very disappointed with what I payed for, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the single bed was bowed in like if the springs were broken, so then I asked if we can be moved and they got on it straight away and they moved us into a lovely family room that was better for my son. we had breakfast included so we didn't need to pay extra for. as a result we had a lovely stay for my sons first birthday holiday

The resort is perfect, has a lot to offer and is great for everyone. With the right weather it gives an abroad style hotel with the pools and entertainment. The location is perfect.

We stayed in the apartment, it's very outdated, the sofa/bed was minging and not comfortable at all. The carpets weren't the best either. Didn't ruin our stay and still had everything we needed but could do with an update.

Entertainment was excellent. No queues for any food or drink. Just a few minute walk from the sea front. All pools, jacuzzi, steam room all easily accessible. Breakfast very good and had additional extras cooked on demand at no extra price.

Took 4 visits to reception to sort out a cot for the room, which was requested before we arrived and was told would be there on arrival.
