Corstorphine Lodge Hotel

Good size room very clean, quiet friendly staff convenient location to the airport, great airport bus access

We stayed for one night because the hotel is close to the airport. The airport bus stop is just across the street from the hotel. It is a ten minute bus ride from the hotel to the airport. We were early for our check in at the hotel. We were able to leave our bags, catch a bus outside of the hotel, and visit the city centre.

Breakfast , shower, bed ,bedding ,tv all excellent .Staff very friendly .Very handy for bus as on main road and this meant that the traffic noise could be heard but not affect stay although my room was at front of building . Asked for the minimum of stairs and was allocated a ground floor flat . Breakfast was the standard Scottish breakfast and the array of fruit , cereal bars , jams , etc etc was out standing Breakfast time was prearranged and the chef was waiting on my arrival , ready to cook .Tables were pre allocated in accordance with room number , Excellent accommodation , suited me fine .

Minor ,minor problem with room key which ,I think, was slightly bent but staff were going to redress this issue .

We were unsure of what to expect when we checked in because the hotel was right on the street and had no obvious place to park, load and unload our luggage, etc. Also, there were questions about the rooms we had reserved being available. However, after discussing the hiccup with the staff, they were able to get us situated and in the correct rooms. They were very clean, comfortable and the atmosphere in the old, victorian style building was perfect. As far as the accommodations were concerned, we were very happy and would highly recommend!

The only issues we ran into was the fact that there is no parking for this hotel. We had to drive around the block until we found a vacant (and legal) spot on the street to park. This was a little inconvenient but since we weren't driving around town during our stay it wasn't terrible for us.

Comfortable bed (firm). Facilities basic but fine (as expected for the price). Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely happy with having stayed.

The radiators. The room was roasting when I arrived and the entrance heaters were also high. A medium heat either to turn up or down as necessary would be better. The staff were helpful fixing the faulty control but it was a hot first night. Better for the planet to reduce the heat too. "You can enjoy picturesque views of the Victorian Walled Gardens" so it said in my booking. Actually the window had film so you couldn't see out except the top to the building next door and sky (presumably for privacy). This wasn't a problem but please don't offer a view which isn't there.

We arrived early to drop off baggage before returning our rental car and was pleasantly surprised to be told our room was ready and was given a key to check in. The room was spacious and clean and overlooked the front of the house and street. The hotel sits up from the road so I didn’t notice the street noise. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

There is no parking on site so we decided to return the rental car early. It’s also an older hotel so the bathrooms and carpet and furnishings are a little worn down.

We could drop off our luggage before the official check-in time, which greatly helped us. The staff was friendly. The house looked a bit like from a fairy tale and it was a bonus for us (admittedly, many buildings looked like from a fairy tale for us :D). It has a couple of local pubs around so even if it is further from the centre you may find where to grab a drink or two.

It is a bit further from the centre so we used a taxi more than we liked. On the other hand, it is closer to the airport. Everything else was fine.

The room was spacious and bright with the big window. Staff(owner) was very kind, helpful and polite.

unfortunately the bed was too small (a queen or king would be better) and sadly the mattress was very Uncomfortable 🙁 Investing in higher end mattresses would be a good choice for improving business and your rating. The 2 beds were too close together. The bathroom/shower were too small. The location - good and bad. Handy to airport but too far from city centre.

We stayed here for our last night before a flight out. It's very convenient to the airport, only about 20 minutes away and the Airport Link stop (rt 100) is right across the street. The facilities were very comfortable and secure. It's kind of a long way from town but right on a major bus route. There is a Lidl very close, for inexpensive breakfast, or you can purchase one at the hotel. There's an amazing Indian restaurant across the street, Prahna, but make reservations.

Room was large and clean. Beds where comfy and was also warm. Breakfast was available in the morning also. Close to the city and had good bus links. In the room there was a little book with how to get about and places to visit. Great place to get your head down after a busy day site seeing

No parking on site. But this is just minor thing really. Easy parking on road next to the hotel

Spacious, nice location, beautiful old building and very clean, with all necessary amenities present. good communication for guests arriving late.

I was checking in in the middle of the night and I found it maybe slightly unreasonable to allocate my room at the very top of the building, so I had not only to go from one building to another but also climb various stairs with my suitcase, worrying I might wake other guests up. Other than that, maybe a little lack of communication between staff, as I was tole I could pay for later check in prior to arrival, which reception didn’t seem to know anything about in the morning. They were very professional and lovely though, allowed me to leave my bags for a while after check out as well.
