Lea Marston Hotel

Lovely hotel. Travelling from London to Holyhead and booked as it was roughly halfway. Great to be able to have a swim and relax in the spa after a long drive. Had a nice dinner in the bar. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The room was lovely but was only set up for one person ( 1 hand and 1 bath towel) Thermostat on shower wasn't working and was stuck on a very hot setting which I discovered with a full head of suds! Receptionist said she checked while we were at dinner and it was sorted, but it was exactly the same. They eventually moved us to another room late that night. Besides that we had a lovely stay and it's a lovely hotel.

The room keys kept getting disabled and for one of the rooms we probably had to get it re-done about 10 times. Thankfully we were near reception but it was still a huge pain. When my husband was in the sauna one of the workers was cleaning the glass windows all along the wall. When he got to the sauna instead of waiting until the sauna was empty and going back to clean the glass when he left, the worker opened the door and held it open while he cleaned letting all the heat out and then sprayed the cleaning product all over the glass just a foot in front of my husband for him to breathe in the chemicals. I would suggest you wait for customers to leave the sauna before doing that in future

Breakfast on the 18th of March wasn’t a nice experience as loads of things missing. However the morning of Mother’s Day 19th, couldn’t fault it. Young Manager on duty was excellent. He had helped to get us dinner in the pub the night before, Very friendly and helpful including Staff working hard to cater for a wedding and party too. We enjoyed our mini break. Afternoon tea was wonderful too , young daughter loved it

Making sure better selection for Breakfast and staff available if anything is missing. Not enough tissues in the family room. Rooms were tidy. Despite all this we understand it was a busy weekend and staff worked hard

The room was lovely, breakfast was great, lots of choice and great produce, Hathaways bar in the hotel was fab as they accept dogs which is great as we were there for the Crufts weekend. The staff were absolutely amazing, every single one of them, particularly those in Hathaways who couldnt do enough for us, they loved our dog too and all made a fuss of him. Everyone was just so friendly, even the maintenance staff and golf course manager came over to us in the bar for a chat it was lovely. Highly recommend this hotel.

We liked everything apart from the value for money which wasnt the best but I think we paid a higher price because of the Crufts weekend.

I had a relaxing comfortable stay with my sister for my birthday. Room was lovely and breakfast was great most staff great you with a welcoming smile. We ordered salmon for me and steak and ale pie which was lovely

Some of the younger staff at hathaway pub didn't not know how to use the till so a bit of a wait while they found someone. I ordered a hot drink to the room which came after alot of chasing up to be told " I couldn't not find the room so the hot chocolates probably cold" I think the amount of people waiting for the hot tub maybe installing 2. Pool could be a little warmer.

The staff all very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The staff create a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We were there as part of a larger family reunion and the staff really went the extra mile to ensure we were able to eat and socialise together - Ellie was so helpful!. Rooms are a good size and beds very comfortable. Menu provided good range of choice and all food was well prepared and delicious.

we were expecting to be able to walk in the grounds but this was mainly a golf course.

Check-in was easy. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bar food was excellent. The restaurant area served as a breakfast area and was laid out well.

The room was too warm despite turning the radiator down and opening the windows. There was no bottled water in the room, which would have been nice. The bathroom looked dated, and the shower head dripped all night. There is only 1 lift that permits one person at a time and quite a walk, which was quite awkward with all your bags and being disabled.

Our journey from the South Coast took twice as long as scheduled due to traffic conditions so slightly stressed on arrival but the lovely Receptionists were so friendly and welcoming, and the journey was soon forgotten as they offered us a free glass of wine delivered to our room - what a lovely touch! This set the tone for the rest of the stay - a lovely hotel, great location, great facilities and staff. Special mention for the fresh milk in the room to use with the coffee machine - such a welcome change from the usual, horrible UHT pods that most hotels think are acceptable!

Could have slept better if the doors of corridors weren't banging so maybe have staff check the doors are clipped at night to keep them from being opened/closed so often? Also room 8 needs the under sink cupboard attaching a little better as it bangs with wind. Otherwise incredible stay!

Loved the spaciousness of the room. Clean and cosy, gorgeous furnishings, with a lovely easy chair to relax in. Coffee machine a lovely touch.

Unfortunately, room service was slow, brought a wrong item and missed others but the team member who came to speak to me was helpful and friendly. The spa is a little dated with all lights out in the steam room, which made me feel uncomfortable.
