Convenient for all we wanted to do. Lovely sunny Courtyard. Can be noisy in evening as pub open till 1.00 am! We asked for a quite room which was 209, which front the High Street, quite at night. Drop off point at side of hotel and an hours free parking on the high street. Parked in Waveney Meadow Car Park close to the Marina - this is small, free and no restrictions, as we needed to leave car overnight. There is a cut through opposite Waveney Hotel up steps, which brings you out by the Church, it is then a short walk to the hotel - ideal. Other Car Parks you have to pay and restrictions. Waveney Hotel lovely for evening meal on a sunny evening, outside tables right by the river.
Nothing really. Did not know what to expect, but for a Weatherspoons, I was very impressed. Staff very polite and attentive. Lovely room. Very large shower, lovely bed and bedding, great tea making facilities and abundance accessories!

Great location. Good selection of food from breakfast through to dinner in the evening. Really pleasant, hard working staff, nothing was too much bother. Drinks were excellent value too.
Unfortunately our rooms overlooked a courtyard & a selection of people decided to shout & were very loud until 1.30am the first night & 12am the second night. Our windows had to be closed because of the noisy customers, thank goodness for the air con. We had never stayed at a Wetherspoons before, we would definitely stay again. Lots to see & do in Beccles & surrounding area.

Right at the centre of Beccles, above the Wetherspoons pub. Large rooms with effective heating. A decent size desk that I could work from, clean and tidy and standard but pleasant decor. Beds were ok, didn't feel luxurious but comfortable enough for 3 nights. Staff were very nice & helpful. I asked for a quiet room and got a top floor one which was good.
Nothing, it's a lower cost hotel, so does very well for the price point. It really is a rabbit warren of a place, lots of doors and steps might be tricky for older customers. My room didn't have a bath, which I thought they all did, but I didn't specifically ask for one.

good location, value for money evening meal and breakfast. Room when we found it (!) was good size and very clean with everything we needed
no king size beds in rooms only doubles. Room numbering was very odd with very 'funky' room numbers on doors which in dimly lit corridors were actually very difficult to read! Lots of stairs to negotiate which in places were very steep and this would have been nice to know as with a dodgy hip, we might not have booked had we known. No car parking so 10 min walk with cases, and beware you can park overnight as not all car parks allow you to.

What was there not to like, when I booked I thought its a PUB, with sticky carpet at the bar (like most other Weather spoons), I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walk into the bar area then directed to the hotel area, all staff were friendly and accommodating, when I I received my key card for my room this was a little trek up stairs through corridors - but when I finally found my room (signs were good) I was impressed with the room, comfortable bed, good size bathroom.
The TV on the wall in the room was High, i decided not to watch it as it gave me a bad neck.

We loved the politeness and efficiency of the staff who seemed to be enjoying their jobs. The room was spotless and had everything we could desire. Although the hotel has no car park the hotel explained clearly how to find the most convenient and best value parking even letting us know the cost in advance. We've never stayed in a Wetherspoons hotel before but will definitely do so again.
There are a lot of stairs to access the rooms.and a shower not a bath in the room I understand this is outside Wetherspoons control but it could be a problem for some guests.

1. The first night the room was very cold and I had little sleep. In the morning I told the girl on reception and, after looking on her monitor she declared that the heating was off. She turned it on and the following evening was OK. 2. Apparently there is an issue with overnight parking in Beccles. When registering in I was given a map and told where I should park and how to purchase a ticket for the two nights. Unfortunately I was not told that the car park was in two sections and the information given only covered one section. I received a £50 Penalty Charge Notice from the owners of the other section of the car park, ‘East Suffolk Council’.

Having been to the hotel several times before it has not lost its appeal, the staff as usual were extremely helpful especially with the problem we had (see below). The breakfast was average although presented well very tasteful, drinks extremely cheap and as much tea/coffee as you like. Cleanness very good all the rooms very comfortable.
The first room we were given on the second floor at first looked great with exposed wood rafters. There was a humming noise and vibration to the headboard but we thought nothing about it. When we returned at 9:30pm to go to bed there was this noise and vibration in the hallway. Inside our room the walls, headboard and a tray with cups was vibrating there was no way we could get to sleep. We complained and was given another room as we were told the noise and vibration was caused but the kitchen extraction fan which would be turned of after the kitchen closed at 11.30pm, which meant waiting 2 hours before we could get to bed.

Great location in centre of town, comfortable rooms with tea, coffee, biscuits, nice big fluffy towels. The bar is a Wetherspoons so don’t expect fine dining! We didn’t eat there but the drinks selection was good and it has a very nice outside area.
No parking, we street parked and as we stayed Saturday night we didn’t need to move the car by 8am but any other night you would have to. The church bells sounded lovely luckily we were awake but they are very loud!

Good location,Room was excellent, very clean and good facilities.loved the separate shower and huge fluffy towels. Appreciated the biscuits and bottles of water, a lovely touch. Cleaning staff were so bright and friendly, more so than the staff downstairs.
Noise of air con from other rooms even when yours isnt on. No obvious parking nearby where you could pay and leave it had to park on outskirts of town and walk. Pub downstairs needs a refurb, dirty tables not cleaned up, floor looks grubby, seats ripped. Witnessed antisocial behaviour from youths in the town. Receptionist was a young Lad with no personality or experience. Struggled getting our luggage up the stairs, no assistance offered and no lift.
