Royal Berkshire

Beautiful rooms and the gardens are gorgeous! Super friendly and helpful staff! We found the rooms spacious and bathroom was lovely and clean. We had a little fridge in our room which was very handy for keeping fresh milk cold for a decent cuppa! Overall we were really impressed and loved our stay!

Only complaint we had was when booking in we were told breakfast was included in our room price but when we arrived for breakfast the next day we were informed it wasn't - probably an honest mistake but just a little bit disappointing.

Everything about the Royal Berkshire was great. This old Churchill estate has comfortable and elegant accommodations. The staff was gracious and the food delicious. A wonderful breakfast is included. After dinner we took our cocktails and strolled around taking pictures of the gardens. Our Uber ride back to Heathrow was only about 15 minutes. It was such an unexpected treat to stay at the Royal Berkshire! I look forward to staying here again.

Liked the location and the lovely grounds. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean with lots of storage. A few old stains on chair and carpet but good otherwise.

Restaurant was a little expensive for what you got i.e extra for side vegetables which I felt for the money should be included in the mains. Breakfast at £18.95 each is expensive and we didn’t have breakfast there as we only wanted a bowl of cereals and a drink. Also the bill was wrong on checkout and they tried to charge us over £100 more than the cost quoted and booked via Booking.com. Luckily we had all our booking.com paperwork with us but the man still had to phone his manager to check that he could reduce the bill to match the amount quoted. Was a bit embarrassing and took a while to sort out but he did apologise.

Room was excellent, very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Shower was excellent, good pressure and water temperature. The bed was extremely comfortable and spacious. I'm a frequent travelling and beds are important for a good nights sleep. We didn't eat at the hotel, however the food look great when we walked through the restaurant. This is my second time and would definitely come again if visiting the Ascot or surrounding area.

Small double only one bedside table due to space Over the bath shower with fixed head Too much furniture in the room for the size of the room - bit of an assault course at times As a disabled guest, wasn't shown or given the option to use a lift o had to negotiate the stairs with case and bags Made to wait for over 10mins at reception whilst staff took a call from a guest requesting champagne - despite other members of staff passing and acknowledging me.

We went for my husbands birthday and we’re off to the races for the day. We were running late for the races but the hotel gave us an early check in, allowed us to ring ahead and order food for upon our arrival and upgraded our room! PLUS they left chocolates and lovely note wishing my husband a happy birthday. The rooms were beautiful and clean- could not recommend more!

Cleanliness of the room was a bonus, lovely grounds to the building and staff very keen to help when needed. Peaceful area with perfect location for Ascot Racecourse.

Breakfast was poor for the full cost (£38 additional for us both) and possibly should be included within the initial cost to stay. Shower was overhead only rather than with additional hose.

Fantastic hotel, staff incredibly friendly and helpful and room was big, comfortable and clean. Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay - and the gardens and terrace which look out onto them are lovely.

The only thing that was missing was a couple of flannels and some bathcaps in the bathroom!! I really can't think of anything else.

Very comfortable rooms, excellent black out curtains. unfortunately were unable to make use of the full facilities but at the price we paid was excellent and very close to our relatives house. would try to stay again if one can obtain a good room rate.

The room was far form reception and the corridor had stairs, was a small lift but chose not to use for a split level corridor. one of the rooms experienced noise form the room next door (very loud TV at 02:00am.) not directly the hotels issue but they did resolve to send someone to the room.

The staff were all excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful grounds to explore and the food was great quality. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

I would have expected more vegetarian/vegan options at breakfast. We had to request vegetarian sausages at breakfast, which were provided, however, were ok but not the best.
