Kitapevi Hotel

Location, breakfasts and breakfast team! We’re walkers so everything we wanted to experience was within walking distance. The historical value of this property is well preserved. We liked the daily water availability and comfy slippers. And wow, they prepared a To Go breakfast since we had a very early flight out from IST. Thank U!!

We didn’t mind all the stairs but if you have trouble with stairs you may not want to stay here. Parking is very difficult but available- need to be a patient parker since parking has a very tight fit. Hotel staff is will and available to park vehicle if you need assistance.

Kitapevi was the most charming boutique hotel we had ever stayed in Turkey. As soon as we stepped in, we got dragged into the magic of this historical Ottoman house. Mr Harun welcomed us in such a warm way and accommodated my mother’s knee problem in the most generous way of offering a suite on the entrance floor free of charge. A beautiful man indeed. Mr Kılıç gave us a great help with all the luggage and finally Mr Murat made us feel like we were visiting an old friend with a genuine kind heart who we had reunited after a long time. And the breakfast, you need to experience it! Thanks to Ms Mizgin and Mr Furkan :) Kitapevi will be our home in Bursa.

Not a single thing!

Very nice spacious room with a very large bathroom area and also a sunken patio like sitting area with glass windows above. The plunge stepped bath is lovely with very hot water.

The sunken patio like sitting area seemed visible from outside of restaurant area and also into bedroom as no privacy curtains such that possibly even bed area could be seen by someone sitting at a table outside particularly at night time when lights on in the bedroom - this made me feel uncomfortable until I hung some towels where the see through curtians were. The entrance is up some steps and the bedroom is then down another set of steps so slight difficulty with my heavy bags but staff helped with carrying them

Historic building is set high on a city rampart with great views and easy access to the main sights. Breakfast is beyond complete, and dinner options are a notch above anything in the area, drawing many reservations for rose petal-covered special nights out. Good wine selection, which is almost non-existent in Bursa.

Wifi needs a security upgrade, and Internet was completely down for lengthy periods. Digital TV was devoid of signals and not worth fiddling with. Pricey relative to Istanbul comps.

A lovely 200 year old property with antiques and interiors that fit the era. A large room with a comfortable bed. It was in a very convenient location to all the main sites.

The service at the restaurant was hit and miss. The wait staff seemed either preoccupied with others or not aware to ask if you’d been served or what you may like.

I liked the secret garden that they have, great place to have your breakfast, we had the suite which was with private small pool and turkish hamam. Recommended for new married couples, staff are really friendly and they had lots of new towels in the room and it was super clean. If you like old places to stay I recommend it.

The location is a bit creepy and had to go inside old tight roads, but in the end we reached. I recommend to reach there in the morning as we reached late at night. I think you can call them to send someone helping you with the bags.

Absolutely everything.. the ambiance of the place is magnificent.... old world with class. The location couldn't be better. The views are amazing. The staff is extremely competent and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had and the dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. I can't think of anything bad to say. I will stay here again, for sure.

Hard to drive up to the front door... but they took charge of the car and parked it and watched after it.

Everything. The location is near to the historical and commercial center of the city and Zafer Plaza Mall,. The architecture is old, but the building is very well maintained. The rooms are large, clean, stylishly furnished and equipped with everything you could need, the interior design it's romantic, the view is fabulous. Rich breakfast. 100 point for the hotel and restaurant staff.

my 3rd time there. it was great as usual. terrific location, super helpful, friendly staff and lovely boutique hotel with beautifully furnished rooms and spectacular views over the old city and the great Ulu Camii.

beautiful courtyard inside hotel, breakfast and service was excellent. otherwise dinner was good. staff and the GM are cordial and concerned and helped get luggage to the top floor as we arrived late. it’s a Boutique small hotel which is kept up well with some areas they need to improve upon. excellent view from the balcony of bursa which is why we chose the penthouse suite. The Management is present and does provide good service in what they can handle. walking distance to Osmangazi tomb and the Grand Bazaar area not too far.

stairs to get down to the road as it’s on a hill but had an idea from other reviews around it so wasn’t that bad. furniture specially in the penthouse suite 13 needs to be upgraded, functionality is important nowadays so even if property may be old but antique furniture can also be placed made with newer technologies if antique is the look one wants for the hotel. bad wifi in area inside rooms which was our biggest issue and couldn’t be resolved till we left. hope they resolve these things as guests staying and wanting to keep connected, sharing pics etc is a necessity nowadays and good wifi is not a luxury anymore and a necessity for a good hotel.
