King's Garden Resort - SHA Plus

Beautiful, immaculate rooms more reminiscent of a 5-star hotel, with elegant mosquito nets above the bed. Breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. Lovely garden running through the grounds.

The lack of pool or gym obviously precludes it from a higher rating. Noise from the street until about 2330. No toiletries or toothbrushes, etc, besides shower gel and shampoo.

Spacious, bright, clean, private bungalows right on the beach. Just far enough outside of the party area to get away from the noise and have a peaceful and relaxing stay but just a quick scooter or taxi to the nightlife. Best breakfast with make your own fruit juicers! The staff are extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. They make your day just seeing them - true hospitality.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful and wish we never left! Nothing to do with the resort itself, perhaps just weather conditions during our stay, but there were strong waves at the beach so be extra cautious if you have little ones that want to swim in the ocean.

This was our first port of call in Thailand. We walked into the room and there was a beautiful welcome display on the bed. it was on a gorgeous bit of beach just far away enough from the busy bit that it wasn’t loud at night. The little Cabin/Villas are so cool and tasteful. We arrived into Koh Samui so late it was almost midnight when we got to the hotel and we hadn’t told them we would be so late but they still managed to have the security guard at the front let us into our room which we thought was excellent of them.

Staff is very polite and helpful (thank you for packing breakfast boxes for us!). Great location, on the farther side of Chaweng, close to shops and restaurants yet quiet. Natural shade from trees on the beach. Enough sunbeds for all guests. It was peak season and it didn't feel crowded although it was. The resort offers everything you need with good value for money: food served until 7pm, beach bar without loud music, massage on the beach. Deluxe rooms/bungalows are comfortable and clean, with enough space. It's nice to have both A/C and a fan in the room. The garden is a little Eden. Dog friendly resort!

Standard rooms/bungalows are poorly maintained and equipped (our group had 2 deluxe + 2 standard rooms). No pressure in the shower. Fans and A/C don't swing. No shutters or blackout curtains on the windows. No wardrobe. Feels cluttered. Located at the very back of the resort, close to the main road and nearby pubs put on loud music at night. It's a budget option and you can feel it.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Kings Garden and won't be the last, it's my favourite hotel. I had a deluxe bungalow and it was fantastic, plenty of space with heaps of natural light. It was really comfortable and cleaned to a high standard everyday. This was the first time I included breakfast with my stay and it was really good, not alot of thai dishes but plenty of western options so I didn't mind too much. The beach and sun lounges are the best part of this hotel, yes there isn't a pool but it's not needed in my opinion. The beach was warm and crystal clear the whole time I was there. The gardens are lush and green and watered regularly, unfortunately that brings alot of mosquito's so better bring a can of repellent. They do give you the mosquito coils on your balcony though. I will be back soon hopefully.

I brought it up with the reception that the t.v in the bungalow doesn't even have an English channel at all. Previous visits they had HBO movie channel and that was nice to watch before bed. It's not a big deal but there needs to be some form of entertainment. If you fell ill and had to spend a few days in your room you would be very bored.

EVERYTHING was good! - Everywhere is very pretty and clean and well thought out and well-maintained - Staff were wonderful - The location is right in the middle of the tourist area, so very easy to get to (in some units you might hear noise from the non stop parties outside) - The beach is very nice, but because it is in the tourist area, is gets quite crowded - I see a lot of people complained about breakfast, which is a mystery to me, because there were a lot of options (omelette, cereal, yogurt, soups, hot foods, fruits, pastries, juices, even a juice presser!) - The A/C worked great, and I liked how they even had a fan in the bathroom

The bed & pillows were super comfortable. The location right on the beach was nice. The separate little villas made for a private peaceful space. We liked that it had very good lighting and the rooms were bright and spacious and very clean.

That we couldn't stay longer!

very nice place, not far from animated center but still quiet, lovely beach in front of the hotel. all accommodations are accessible and this place is a place to relax. I recommend.

no swimming pool

The King Garden is a nice small resort set in the green garden with the direct access to the beach. The sunbeds are set behind the trees on the beach with the great view and are free for the hotel guests. The breakfast was very good - wide offer of both thai and continental food, fruits and possibility to make your own fruit or vegetable juice. The cottages are comfortable, clean and spacious. Massage is available directly on the border of hotel and beach. It was very good.

The sunbeds were sometimes occupied by people not belonging to the hotel and was hard to find a place in the shadow.

Lovely clean rooms in a beautiful garden setting on beautiful Chewang Beach. Very nice restaurant overlooking the beach, the perfect setting for breakfast

I booked via booking.com late in the day, when I arrived reception was closed and the security guard had no idea I was coming so is it was a while before he spoke to someone and I eventually had a room assigned. There is a bar directly across the road which plays live music every night from 8.30pm so try for a room close to the beach and far away from the road if possible as the music is loud. There is no pool… but the beach is idyllic
