The Spa Koh Chang Resort

Beautiful setting, very tranquil

Breakfast, either short staffed or kitchen to small to cater for more than a few people at a time. one small coffee pot for 20 plus people. food at buffet needed topping up frequently. All low fat high sugar food, supposedly “healthy”. Food from menu was good 👍

I loved everything about this place. The concept at this retreat is well-thought-out. The whole resort is absolutely beautiful and you immediately feel relaxed once you set a foot in there. The day I arrived, I laid down in my bed and had lots of ants in there. I went to reception and they immediately gave me an upgrade to another room and I highly appreciated that. This is how the service at a great resort should be like. In general, statt is incredibly welcoming and every single dish I had at this retreat was amazing. They use fresh ingredients, some of them even grow in their gardens, and you can really taste the difference. Their breakfast was superb too and I also loved their fresh juices. I also did an abdominal detox massage with Kailash, which had quite an effect on me. Apart from giving amazing detox massages and yoga classes, Kailash is one of those kind of humans whose energy will stay with you for quite a while. I’ve been on a one year world trip, which is coming to an end in a few days. The stay here at The Spa Koh Chang was my favorite one in my whole year and I’m grateful that they made my last days on this trip so memorable.

We loved the location of the hotel because it is in the quiet side of the island, away from the kitschy tourist areas, surrounded by beautiful nature. The resort has a lush and well maintained garden with blossoming trees. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Free bikes were very handy to visit many spots around. So scooter was not necessary if you like cycling.

We loved our stay, but few things could be improved. The food in the restaurant was rather bland, would have loved if it was more authentic and local. Also, would feel much better if eco resort serves iced drinks not in a plastic cups with plastic straws. The continental breakfast was ok, but during lower occupancy, it could be ordered individually, would feel more sustainable and would accommodate personal tastes better.

🤔 some miscommunications, maybe due to language barrier (pick up from Trat airport didn’t work out, transfer back to the ferry shared taxi instead of private driver etc.) 🤔 breakfast buffet a bit small and disappointing because they didn’t offer many fresh fruits or juices (needed to pay extra) 🤔 very far from shops, restaurants and beaches, would need to go by bike, on the excursions or pay for a driver

The room was beautiful. the staff were amazing. Lek gave amazing massage, Olivia gave amazing yoga lessons every morning. When the tide is right, you can canoe in the beautiful mangrove. Amazing. Wery quiet place where you can relax. there is a small shop on the mainroad. You can also go for a walk ( 1 hour) to a small village with a restaurant. You should definately get a room on the hill. we had one with an outdoor bathtub, but would have settled with one without but still upper hill.

Nothing, but it would be very nice with some hooks in the bathroom. there is no place to hang a towel.

The room (villa with outside bathtub) is much prettier in real life than on the photo's and the staff is super nice. Also the resort feels very well maintained and the amount of plants all over the park is amazing.

The restaurant is good but not very cheap. Of course this is not to be expected in a resort but keep this in mind. One can find amazing Thai food for 3 dollars on the beach or in the villages all over the island and in the resort you'll pay double that for a basic fruit juice.

Just amazing. Room (villa with outside bathtub) is much more beautiful than the pictures show. The resort is truly stunning with thousands of plants and your balcony up in the canopy of the palm trees. Restaurant is good and not too expensive. Staff the sweetest. Keep in mine that it's on the quieter side of the island. Would highly recommend this paradise.

There's always room for improvement right? The gym could get some attention.

As an experienced traveler who has visited many countries and seen hotels of different levels, I can say with certainty that this is an amazing hotel. Magnificent interior, beautiful territory, delicious breakfast and dinner. Prices in Restaran are much lower than on other islands. The room has absolutely everything, and a very beautiful room with a view of the jungle. There is absolute peace and quiet, clean air, stunning nature. Very friendly staff. This hotel deserves 5 stars. Thank you so much. amazing place

Super amazing staff; environment is perfect - far enough from the noise and the unsophistication of the tourist spots that you can really relax (but close enough in case you fancy a social evening. or two) - Spa Koh Chang is different, with a magical landscape that you will notice immediately. Ask for Olivia, she is a special human being ❤️

Little house with the pool was excellent. Bed was very comfortable, which is very important to us. It was a very quiet and peaceful stay, which was exactly what we wanted. Very,very happy with the location and the room.

The service at the restaurant was very unprofessional. Girls were sweet, but the lack of experience and simple logic got quite annoying after the third mistake we got to experience. Language barrier didn't help.
