The Lord Nelson Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming beach hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm and welcoming staff, who made me feel like a valued guest. The location of this hotel is truly something to behold. Nestled right on the beach, it offers breathtaking views of crystal-clear waters and the endless horizon. I found myself mesmerized by the picturesque sunsets that painted the sky in a vibrant tapestry of colors each evening. It's the kind of view you'd expect from a 5-star resort, but here it comes at a surprisingly affordable price. The hotel's bar and restaurant were equally impressive. The menu was diverse and featured an array of delicious dishes to satisfy any palat, we had the best Indian curry in our life. Whether I was indulging in fresh seafood by the water's edge or sipping on a perfectly crafted cocktail at the bar, every dining experience was a culinary adventure. What truly sets this establishment apart, however, is its dedicated and attentive staff. From the front desk to the restaurant servers, everyone went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They were always ready with helpful suggestions for activities in the area and were quick to accommodate any special requests I had. In conclusion, my stay at this 3-star beach hotel was nothing short of fabulous. The stunning location, delectable dining options, and exceptional staff make it a hidden gem that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable seaside getaway without breaking the bank. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at this wonderful place on earth.

I must say, this hotel boasts a fantastic beachfront location with truly captivating views. The hotel's lobby has a vintage charm inspired by Lord Nelson, creating a unique atmosphere that takes you back to maritime history. The room decor, while not overly Thai-influenced, was cozy and inviting. I chose a mountain view room, which turned out to be a snug and well-maintained space. However, the ocean views from the hotel were indeed tempting. Nonetheless, the room provided a comfortable retreat, and the attention to detail was evident. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant, which is conveniently located next to the beach. Dining there allowed me to savor delicious dishes while enjoying the captivating view of the sea. The staff welcomed me warmly, and their local recommendations added a nice personal touch to my experience. I must say, their cocktails were quite delightful.

Beachfront, but the water quality is not very good. The Mini-Pool was ok for the children, but sometime to clouded. The room was nice and clean. The staff at the reception was friendly, but at the restaurant need to pay more attention to the guest. The Essen quality by the restaurant was not good. Comparing with the price, it was over priced. For example, iced coffee for Bht.140 (machine was broken, so they use powder instant coffeebinstead). I ordered a Club Sandwich @Bht.200, it was a Bread with 2 slice of bacon and 1 fried egg, a bit of butter. We ordered also a pizza, we assumed it was a frozen product, because it was baked too hard like a piece of wood. The Kitchen need to be improved

Nice room with a balcony

Amazing setting right on beach. Lovely staff and hands on GM. When her card machine didn't work she said I could pay the next day but I went to the village for cash . Very comfortable bed, and beautiful bed linen. Nice toiletries. Nice cooling off pool. Not big enough to swim really. Really enjoyed our time there despite the hickups. I totally love the hotel. Recommended

Shower wasn't contained so it soaked everything. Food although taking an age to arrive was not hot and portions not enough for price. Don't get a hotel tuk tuk, it's twice the price of bolt or grab.

This is the third time I've stayed and the hotel is always good value. The restaurant food, particularly the western dishes, is top rate and the location perfect if you have family in Ban Chang. The bed is very comfortable and the wifi excellent. The shower pressure could be better, but it's not.

There needs to be some consistency about breakfast. When I stayed before, breakfast was included and I got a fantastic full English breakfast (as shown on the menu at 230 baht). This time breakfast was not included in the initial rate, but at check-in I asked to pay for breakfast in advance, @ 230 baht. However, the English breakfast I was served was "small" and was nothing like the breakfast shown on the menu at 230 baht. Surely if guests pay 230 baht for breakfast, they should receive the full breakfast as shown on the menu.

Right on the beach, staff was super friendly and helpful, cool drink stand and massage place across the street, and seem like a famous crab restaurant is just 100 feet down the beach. Bathrooms are the combo style but nicely remodeled.

Breakfast was a little bit more expensive than other places for what you get, but it might be the only option as a tourist in the slow season.

The hotel and staff were realy good room view amazing parking for cars not so good beach realy dirty needs all garbage removed although in beach front to hotel was cleaned by staff

Had to park my car across road on a dusty area beach was full of garbage realy poor 😢 😞 😔

The location is perfect with a great sea view. The beds were comfy and the room was serviced well. The breakfast menu was a little limited (no doubt due to Covid) but the English breakfast was very good, although sometimes items were missing (day 1 no beans; days 1, 2 & 4 no hash brown; day 4 only 1 sausage).

The hotel was short-staffed so there were long waits for food but this wasn't a huge problem for us, once we got used to it. The water pressure in the shower was weak. The noise from other rooms was bad on one night. There wasn't a lot of car parking space in front of the hotel. No beach/pool towels were provided.

Nice position on the beach, staff were very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed and room was a good size

If you want to sit on the balcony opt for the pool view as mountain view had standing room only for 2. If you want to go to bar street you need to get a taxi/tuk tuk

The location is fantastic with a lovely sea view. Good place to relax. Clean and well maintained. The staff were hospitable, friendly and very pleasant. Will come again, surely.

TBH, the wifi was weak, and the cot was small in the room. It was manageable, though.
