Hotel d'Angleterre

The staff were professional, helpful, polite and simply amazing. From the moment I stepped into the Hotel D’Angleterre I knew this visit was going to be extraordinary! The comfort of the hotel was of the highest order. Service was outstanding. Nothing was too much for the staff if it would make you feel welcomed and at home. The level of everything here from the bed, to the towels, to the decor of the room was of the highest order. It was a complete pleasure to stay in this lovely hotel and I recommend it for all the above reasons. The location was perfect, right on Lake Geneva and close to the old town and all the ferries!

There was nothing not to like!

Fantastic lakeside location, easy walk / boat road to main downtown area, restaurants and train station. The service level is very high - staff were super helpful throughout, in a friendly rather than officious way. They were proactive, and requests were dealt with very quickly. Rooms are "grand" and spacious.

I found the bed uncomfortable, and on 2 or 3 occasions we had problems with our plumbing - toilet was running and we couldn't flush it. On the first occasion, someone came very quickly and resolved it, on subsequent occasions it eventually resolved itself. It's expensive, but not out of line for that class of hotel in GVA.

The staff team at Hotel Angleterre is outstanding! So professional, attentive, courteous ensuring visitors enjoy a fabulous 5* experience in keeping with the ambience of this superb waterfront hotel. The rooms are huge, impeccable and tastefully decorated with ‘turn down’ service. Breakfast was a delicious feast offering the best of Switzerland, while enjoying the wonderful vista of Mont Blanc, Geneva & the Lake. What a find! We simply can’t wait to return. Huge thanks to all the staff for such a fantastic stay!

location staff very helpful and kind reception and hopitality

1- the noisy sound when we walk, we hear the foot steps all time because maybe the building very old and the sound of the wood makes noise in all the hotel and the rooms 2- also one of our rooms was too small and the chandeliers of the roof very big this kind of room needs simple furniture not huge to give space to the room because it is very small 3. we did not know about free using for the boat in the lake during our staying only we knew after we checked out but the staff told us that we can use it for that day ( last day ) and they gave us tickets to use

Hotel is lovely decorated, each room is unique and you will have a different experience each time you stay in this hotel. Breakfast is excellent, rooms very comfortable, location is perfect, but what make this hotel much more special is its staff. From the moment you arrive with your car until the moment you leave, the lovely staff will do whatever is necessary to make you comfortable and feel special. They are simple amazing. We have stayed many times in this hotel and will continue to come here each time we come to Geneva. This time our dog came with us and he was very welcomed. This hotel is highly recommend.

The first room I was given too had a weird smell so I requested another & they changed my room, the staff were more than amazing and welcoming and made sure I was comfortable and happy. The hotel has vintage vibes, everyone at the hotel is very nice. The locations is PERFECT.

The elevator is old and small.

the service was great! we were only there for one nite but found the valet was very helpful, the front desk walked us through getting around town and recommended a great restaurant. we also loved the complimentary welcome champagne delivered to the room. all in all a very well run hotel with nice extra touches.

the room was maybe smaller, and we had an upgraded room with a small couch, then we expected but it was a decent size for a city hotel room and fine for one or two nites.

An exceptional property in every sense. Stunning location, classically English interiors & extremely clean but it was the service (from every member of staff) that was truly outstanding; friendly professional service that was subtle yet ever present. Exceptional. Will definitely be returning.

My personal preference is a walk in shower rather than a bath but the hotel is so outstanding this would not deter my next visit!

Location was perfect; right on the lake and the view overlooked the whole city. The hotel room was gorgeous-we felt like we were in a castle. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and they remembered us and spoke with us like we were friends. This hotel has ruined all other hotels for us. We frequently stay at 4 and 5 star hotels but this was closer to an 8star. Very good experience!! Thanks so much to the whole team !!

Shower was positioned weirdly and the glass door was too close to allow for proper shower without water spilling

Exceptional service. Hotel staff / concierge made us feel very warm and welcome, and were always smiling and ready to lend a hand. Will only ever stay here if we ever return to Geneva. Location is amazing, as it is on the doorstep to the city and is directly opposite the fountain Amazing experience - real thank you to the staff!
