Hotel Tayko Sevilla

Incredibly warm, personal, and yet highly professional service from all staff - Maria, Miguel, Frank, you are stars! They literally go the extra mile. Miguel spotted my car when I was lost nearby; he came out from reception, took my bag, and advised me where to park. That's just one example of several. The hotel's location is perfect for so many sights, bars & eateries. The hotel and its restaurant Mareantes have been restored respecting their 1920s origins and they're full of surprising, stylish, and comfortable features. My small room was beautifully kitted out, well-lit, had a balcony with a view of the square and Torre del Oro, plus a very nice bathroom. And don't get me started on the amazing breakfast ... Several different courses, coffee, and beverages -- all served right to your table. Excellent variety, excellent quality. I'll be back!

The hotel opened in Oct-2022 and hence is quite new. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. What this hotel offers in comparison to most other hotels in downtown Seville is it's accessibility by car (paid underground parking garage across the street), its proximity to all major sights and it being embedded in the most beautiful part of Seville, which contributes to seamlessly soaking up the atmosphere (which is truly extraordinary). And that's what you pay for. As an accommodation in it's own right it's not that special I found - nothing wrong with it, but little to be blown away by if I'm honest. I liked the free in-room refreshments offered and replenished every day. Would recommend for seamless access to experiencing Seville.

I like to sleep in a very dark room. To me the curtains could have blocked out the light just a little more, but that's personal - it wasn't that bad either. And for me the light in the interior patio (lighting up the window/curtains from the outside) could have been turned off after, say 11pm. But that would be my only little 'complaint'. Other than that absolutely no issues.

Awesome service, everybody seemed happy to go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Rooms are beautiful, tidy, and very clean. Excellent location at short distance from the main sights.

Before I mention anything, I want to make clear that all these are minor points -- this a great hotel. However, there was a bad smell coming from the elevator shaft, which seems to come from the external sewage system; the hotel is aware and trying to solve it, and the rooms still smelled great. Also, we booked quite a small room; again this was not a big problem and it was our choice, but coming back a second time we'd probably have gotten a larger room. Finally, the parking arrangement, which is in a public lot, is a bit fussy (although the reception spared no effort to make it easier).

We arrive at the hotel and could not find the parking - I called and the very friendly staff directed me to the hotel and the she came out side and offered to park our car! I can't begin to tell you how friendly and helpful the staff were - they made our stay extra special. We had cold lemon water upon checking and in and cookies in the room! The rooms were beautiful and spotless with a small balcony looking out a the street. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had great amenities. The hotel is in a perfect location, right near the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral - and walkable to other locations as well. Breakfast was amazing.

I didn't like that I had to leave there!

We liked the variety of breakfast choices and also delicious orange juice and coffee which was refilled on request.

The service was not as attentive as it could have been. The mezzanine area is not big so no option for self service - everything had to be brought to the table which meant there wasn’t really enough room for everything. No need for large plates with unusual flavoured butters taking up table space. Not helped by some misunderstanding in communication I think. The cooked choices took too long to arrive. Finally managed to get yoghurt at final breakfast even though it was supposed to be standard.

The location was fantastic - it was halfway between the Plaza de Espana and the Cathedral / Alcazar. What more could we want? It was on a pedestrianized street, near the tram stop, across the road from the Puerta de Jerez metro station. It was also easy for the taxi driver to drop us off right at the door, which was important to us and our volume of luggage! The staff was very, very helpful and friendly, checking us in early and helping us with the luggage (there was an elevator). Our bathroom was large and ornately decorated. The drapes effectively blocked out the light at night. We did not get the most expensive room but felt as if we had!

This is a newly opened hotel in the middle of Seville, very close to everything you would want to see and to all transport facilities. It's 5 minutes away from the airport bus stop, very easy to find, with a little park close by. When you enter the hotel you're greeted instantly and the check in process is very quick whilst you are offered drinks, which is a nice touch. We were more than an hour earlier to check in, but the room was ready and the front desk staff were very accommodating and let us go to the room. You are shown to the room by the staff at the desk, which is also very courteous. The room was exactly what the pictures show, beautiful, quiet and very tastefully decorated, on the minimalistic side, which I appreciated. Everything is new, clean and you can see that they put in a lot of effort into details. The bed was huge, mattress amazingly comfortable and clean, pillows made me go to sleep instantly, sleeping in that bed was the best sleep I had in years. Free mini bar with a few juices and water, coffee machine which I used and made quite good coffee. Did not use the huge tv at all, so I don't know what programs there are. The bathtub in the room was romantic and right on point for our special occasion. Because we were celebrating an anniversary, they made sure that my request for a bottle of wine in the room was accomplished and I must say it was a very good regional Cava. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely hand written note from the hotel as well. Breakfast was quite an experience, in a very elegant atmosphere, freshly cut fruit, juice, coffee, pastries and warm food. I had eggs Benedict which were almost perfect (lemon juice in the hollandaise sauce was a bit too much, but that is only my personal taste, I still ate all from the plate). The only thing I have to say, maybe the waiter needs to put a little smile on his face, because it looked like we bothered him.

All was excellent. My only little "dislike" is very personal and subjective, namely breakfast staff and sauce, which is by no means a reflection of the whole experience.

The location was perfect for most of the major attractions, just a short walk. The staff Miguel and Frank were brilliant, very friendly, always smiling and gave us lots of useful information. Drinks in the mini bar were complementary, along with water, tea and coffee. The bedroom and bathroom in the Junior Suite were very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with a huge, comfy bed. It was very quiet given the central location. There was a gorgeous scent of Jasmin growing just outside the door. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Just a very minor drawback about the Junior Suite which is on the top most floor of the hotel, the window is very high and requires effort to see the view. This felt a little odd at first but we soon got used to it. We thought the room was a little overpriced, as was the breakfast. We went to local cafés for breakfast instead.

We arrived at the hotel and were met by super friendly staff from reception to cleaning staff. We were offered cold water as we entered it was a very hot day. The hotel has a minimalistic, fresh interior. The rooms are of adequate size. Welcome cookies awaited us in the rooms. There were some drinks in the bar fridge that were free of charge. We also received a complimentary drink at the restaurant. Every night the drinking water glass bottles were filled, curtains were drawn and we received complimentary chocolates. The beds and pillows are big and comfortable. The bathroom has L'Occitane amenities. The hairdryer is powerful. The hotel is well located. We walked everywhere. The taxis to the train station and airport are 15 meters from the hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

There is absolutely nothing to fault in this hotel.

truly exceptional experience! The staff were amazing and the rooms beautiful! We booked and arrived within 10 minutes on the same day, and greeted by not only a glass of bubbles on arrival and a genuinely warm welcome but a personalised greeting card and bowls/bed for our dog. The location is super central and the room we stayed in had a beautiful balcony over the square but brilliant sound proofing. Every interaction with the team was 5 stars. I have traveled a LOT and worked in luxury hospitality for years and Tayko team are in the best I’ve ever experienced. We will be back! Thank you so much for making our time in Sevilla wonderful.
