Catalonia Giralda

Upgraded to a junior suite and it was LOVELY. Plenty of room, minibar, clean, bed with both a duvet and a sheet so one can choose depending on how "hot" you sleep. Proper door to the room to minimize sound from other guests. The interior was up to date and it had a small balcony where the spring sun was enjoyed. Bathroom really cool with "double" shower and proper shower doors so the whole room does not steam up. Breakfast was plenty and with a serious selection. Private (paid) parking - first come - first served - which was perfect for us, driving from El Rocío in a SUV. Will definately stay here again :)

The pillows in bed was too high for me - both of them as they were similar.

Catalonia Hotels never disappoint. This little hotel was in the entrance to the Old Town in Seville in a very quiet street called Sierra Nevada. The staff was very attentive and always made us feel welcomed in the property. Great breakfast buffet with a varied selection. Our room was comfy and with a great view of the cathedral from our balcony. We have nothing but praise for this hotel. Special thanks to Kimberly in the front desk and Yolanda in the restaurant for assuring we had a very pleasant stay. If you want quiet and within walking distance of anything, I gladly recommend Catalonia Giralda.

Room was fresh, very clean and comfy. The hotel is near the train station where the bus (we opted for rather than taxi) from the airport stops off. It's a short 15 minute walk (taxis are plentiful here) to the centre of Seville, with plenty to see and do on the way. We didn't opt for breakfast, instead having a swim in the compact but beautiful pool before breakfasting in the numerous cafes nearby. Some say the pool is in full view of the bar and breakfast room but there his a patterned glass wall to provide some privacy, and who's looking anyway! Pool has a resistance jet providing good exercise for swimmers wanting a larger pool, and massage fonts. Staff were courteous and friendly, and our room, which was a CITY VIEW ROOM ON FIFTH FLOOR WITH BALCONY was ideal for views of the churches and city in general, and also drinks and nibbles after a hard day's exploring. Room (506) was quiet (no elevator noises) and very efficient aircon was silent, and scrupulously clean. No complaints.

More milk and coffee would have been nice but not a deal-breaker!

This hotel was fantastic. It is bright, modern and clean. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom had a great shower. The breakfast was amazing. Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. So much choice and it was constantly being topped up so nothing ran out even during the busier breakfast periods. The bartender was always a friendly face to see in the evenings after a long day sightseeing. Location is great. It’s about a 10 min walk from all the narrow streets of the old town. I would definitely go back. We didn’t use the pool or gym but we did see lots of others using the facilities

My only criticism of the room was the see through bathroom door. I would prefer a bit more privacy when sitting on the toilet!

Location and breakfast was excellent

I booked a junior suite with 2 single beds but received a double bed I went to reception and asked to change and ABERGALE OR AMBERLEY the reception lady said no I hadn't which is completely wrong. So I struggled for 2 nights inthe 1 bed which was very uncomfortable as my friend is also a male only to on the second day the sofa was a bed so I asked for this to be made up which it was so I had 1 better nights sleep. The reception lady should have thought better instead of blaming ME.

Breakfast was included. However, my husband chose to have their breakfast, while I only wanted coffee and bread. The hostess stated in no uncertain words that I could not consume anything if I didn’t purchase the entire buffet. I was more than ready to pay for coffee & bread , which I stated from the beginning. she returned to our table and said I could have a cup of coffee for 3.50 euros! Ridiculous price in Europe! The hostess seemed apologetic at the end, but I was shocked. The check out final bill dropped the coffee charge even though I did not complain. Also the rooms do not include an iron, which surprised us even for a hotel.

Very clean, tidy and friendly hotel. Staff were great. We had a minor maintenance issue which they fixed promptly. Location was really good, but you could certainly be closer to old town centre....if that's your thing. Maybe a 15 minute walk to the centre. Breakfast was excellent. Great spaces within the hotel. Good pool, and a gym. The room was great and had a deck. Not a huge room but fine. Great shower. In a short dead end street, which is good.

If I'm being picky, then the street frontage above reception area could do with a refurb.

Room was nice, changed sheets & tidied to a high standard every day. Breakfast was very good with a combo of hot & cold options along with squeezed orange juice that you could see being made. Location was great. 10 minutes walk from the cathedral & Alcazar palace.

Special request i'd made for my honeymoon wasn't fulfilled which was a shame & the staff didn't seem too bothered about trying to find a solution for it. The pool being right next to the bar was a bit odd & the gym is just a treadmill with a cable machine so again bit disappointed by that.

Clean, quiet room, cleaned daily. The very attentive team and the peaceful surroundings of the hotel (and lots of bars, walking distance to the most important attractions and sites) all made the stay at this hotel very pleasant. We wanted a good getaway combined with the urban experience of Seville. And it succeeded, also thanks to staying in this hotel.

The glass door in the bathroom didn't always provide intimacy, but it wasn't a major problem.

We had a room on the top floor with terrace which was perfect for evening refreshments. The room was modern, clean, comfortable, spacious. Lovely shower. Breakfast was the best. dining room decor clean, bright and modern. Every member of staff from the person who made the room look brand new everyday, to the dining room staff and reception, was very welcoming and friendly. Excellent location for exploring the lanes of Seville.

Swimming pool is small but I had forgotten to pack swimsuits anyway, so it didn’t matter!
