Elba Motril Beach & Business Hotel

We selected a sea view room with balcony; very comfortable. Breakfast was very good although one morning the automatic coffee machines were not working. We walked to Motril town and/or took bus back from town. Front desk helped arrange a tour of the Alhambra. It was very easy to travel from Motril to Granada via bus. When we departed, we took bus to Malaga. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance of hotel. We enjoyed the vibe as this seemed to be mostly Spanish visiting the hotel with family;I think we might have been the only English-speaking couple in the hotel

The pool did get a little crowded with seating hard to find

The hotel staff is extremely courteous, friendly, and hospitable. The hotel is conveniently situated across from the beach. It is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The breakfast and dinner buffet offers a wide variety of food options to cater to everyone's taste. The hotel provides its own parking facility. The balcony offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean sea and the beach.

Due to its proximity to the road and being opposite the beach, the hotel experiences vehicular traffic, and even with closed windows, the sound of vehicles can be heard at night. The furniture in the rooms displays indications of aging and requires maintenance. Unfortunately, the rooms do not include a kettle or ironing facilities.

Great buffet breakfast. Staff at reception and in restaurant always helpful. Quiet location, but we stayed over Christmas and New Year, so not sure what it would be like in high season. Near to sea front with pleasant walks to bars/ restaurants. This hotel is not in town and we chose it for that reason. We were at the rear of the hotel overlooking the mountains, which we preferred to the front sea view. In the hotter weather staying at the rear of the hotel is cooler but you don't get sun on your balcony.

For a 4 star business hotel the WiFi was poor (we fed that back). It wouldn't be possible to stream a meeting or film, and our data connection was only just picking up 4g. The swimming pool opening times were after breakfast (10 am) and closed at 9 pm. We would have liked it to be open 7am to 10pm as we were out with family during the day. We had problems with the room entry system and had to get our key cards re programmed every few days. I saw other people and staff have issues and it probably needs updating (again fed back but it was the one thing the staff did not really acknowledge to my satisfaction - and, no, we didn't have them next to our phones or any other source that could interfere with them).

Location was great - cross the street, walk a little and you are on the wide beach. Because of extra season just a few people were on the beach. Parking was 6 euros but I think that we could let the car on the street, without having to pay anything... but it`s not that expensive... The room was clean, the bed comfortable. We didn`t go to the pool, we did not have time. The breakfast was rich, you can choose from different fruits, the usual egg, bacon, cheese, beans etc., milk and cereal, croissants, fried vegetables (there was no fresh tomato, cucumber etc. though...) etc. So, excelent.

We stayed at Elba Hotel for 7 nights with full board package. Hotel staff was nice and helpful, they let us keep our road bikes in the room. The days when we couldn't come back to lunch in time they would box our lunches which we would pick up after the ride. The room had everything we needed, beds were comfortable. I agree with some other reviews that you can hear people talking in neighboring rooms, this didn't bother us during the day and at night it was quiet. We stayed there in February and hotel wasn't fully booked. Meals were pretty good with good selection, my favorite was fried fish every evening. You can pick different fish and lady would fry it for you, she did outstanding job, my fish was delicious every time. It has a gym, pool and hot tub on the fourth floor and you need to pay extra to use a sauna. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Everything was really great, A great 4 star hotel for a good price off-season. We've chosen for a one-night stay during the roadtrip along Spanish coast with no expectations, but it has been a truly great experience due to several reasons. - Helpful reception and bar (to accommodate some of the request for food for the kid) - Comfortable and nice rooms as you'd expect in a good hotel - Nice view over the mountains (or sea) from the balcony - The BEST breakfast ever!!! I mean it. With pancakes and omelets made on your request, to lots of choice of meat/sausages and grilled vegetables. Just wow! And churros + hot chocolate too. - A great plus was the location, just next to the beach where you could meet the sunrise - Also there's a beach restaurant/bar in front which was open from 12.30 and you could just sit and enjoy there the sun and a drink - Only 10min drive to Salobrena which is gorgeous

Absolutely nothing

The hotel room was really large along with the bathroom.The shower and bath were lovely,nice to get to a hotel that doesn't remove the plug to prevent you using the bath!!The bed was lovely and the pillows nice and soft.We requested extra pillows and they were in the room waiting for us.Often when we ask the staff do not leave one.The breakfast buffet was full of choices of anything a person could need.Even the coffee machine tasted ok.But I noticed that if you didn't want machine coffee, the staff actually made people a fresh pot instead!The swimming pool and jacuzzi were very enjoyable too.

You need to do more with the meals to keep them Hot Hot as I fine Breakfast was ok but only warm on cooked Breakfast and (dinner the food should have been hot also as it Hot meals,For it being 4 star Hotel Your mangerment needs to make sure all Hot food is Hot at all times and in Metal dishes on Hot surface. Some food was not cooked to how it should be. I have worked many years ago as sliver service Mangerment in Grand Hotel which is 4 star /5 star. So I do know about Hotel Restaurants of Buffet meals.

Staff were very helpful when I was in crisis, they went out of their way supporting me. Beautiful room, very high quality mattress & pillows, slept very well. Nice outside pool area. Breakfast had an excellent selection to choose from. Would highly recommend staying here. The views of beach were stunning, fabulous location.

I would have liked to be able to make a hot drink in my room. Rather than having to get showered & dressed to go to dining room.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a two room suite, wonderful surprise. Room was very clean and well equipped. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff very friendly

The section of town itself isn't very inviting, close to the harbour. The location of the hotel is right opposite the beach but there are hardly any facilities and restaurants there (may 2022) . Looks like the entire beach is being redone. Within 500 meters to the right you'll find a restaurant on the beach called Bambu. It's awesome...try it.
