This is a beautiful hotel, stunningly located on the Plaza Santa Ana, which is really central for Madrid life (both sightseeing and eating / drinking). It is a very modern hotel, sensibly setup with excellent staff who are friendly and helpful. There is a lovely rooftop bar which I would highly recommend for views across Madrid. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Plaza which was quite stunning (although noisy - see below). The room itself was a little small, but was clean, modern and bright and big enough for our five day stay, and had everything you needed to be comfortable and well looked after. The bed was a really good size (super king I think) and comfortable - although the pillows were lumpy. It was really nice of the hotel to mark my partner's special birthday with cake and a bottle of very nice cava - those kind of little touches make a hotel extra special in my opinion. All in all, this hotel was an excellent choice for a short break in Madrid. I would definitely stay here again.

The reasons I didn't give this hotel a full 10: - "plug sockets by the bed" - only on one side (and of course, my side didn't have one!), this is a pet peeve of mine - nowhere in the room to plug in hairdryer/straighteners where I could sit by a mirror. In fact no sockets near any mirror either. Another pet traveller peeve. Another downside, although not exactly the hotel's fault (and not one I marked them down for), was that while the location was amazing, and the view from our balcony stunning, it meant that it was really noisy at night and did wake us up / keep us awake quite often. But that is a calculated risk when getting a room with a balcony I suppose!

The location was extraordinary. In the center of the city and located on plaza Santa Ana. We walked everywhere because almost all museums and sights were walking distance. Our room was beautiful with large windows overlooking the square. The bedding and bed were wonderful and the shower was very powerful. We appreciated the robes and slippers and complimentary wooden toothbrushes. There was a large closet with shelves and a lot of room for storing clothes, which many hotels do not offer. Staff members were friendly and helpful and were able to check us in early.

A nightlight or dimmer in the bathroom would be nice.

One of the nicest hotels that I stayed at during my 3 week Spain trip. It is beautifully decorated and in a perfect location right near the Sol metro. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms were lovely and clean. The room was comfortable for 2 people but my friend and I ended up choosing to a larger room to allow ourselves even more space (we were there for 3 days during a music festival) and the staff was very helpful with this accommodation. They even moved our luggage into our new room which had a BEAUTIFUL window overlooking the square. They were all very kind and also helped us book a train to our next location. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I'd choose to stay there again and again.

Love the vibes at this hotel. Great location, very comfortable . We were shown where everything is in the room on arrival. Room service dinner was decent. Easy walking distance to Plaza Mayor and lots of bars and restaurants.

Service at breakfast unfriendly. Unusual coffee makers which staff had no desire to demonstrate, so other guests helped eachother work out how to operate them. It was our second time here and it's a shame that one grumpy member of staff can alter the image of an otherwise outstanding hotel.

My husband had to be rushed to the ER our first night there and was admitted to the hospital leaving me to navigate alone in Spain without speaking the language. The employees at the hotel could not have been kinder or more supportive, they went out of their way to help me get through a very difficult time! When I was able to stay in the hospital in a private room that my husband was transferred to, they even sent an employee with me to assist with the luggage transport up to his room. If my husband had not been transferred to the hospital, this hotel would also have been the perfect place to enjoy the city of Madrid in comfort and ease.

LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS GREAT, AWAY FROM THE BUSY AREA OF GRAN VIA, BUT CLOSE ENOUGH WALKING DISTANCE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS. HOTEL ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND GOOD SIZES ALL MODERN FACILITIES. THE ROOFTOP BAR HAD A LOVELY VIBE. THE STAFF WERE ALL VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

ONLY THING I WOULD SAY IS THAT THE ROOMS COULD HAVE DONE WITH BETTER PLUG SOCKETS IN OTHER AREAS OF THE ROOM AS THEY WERE IN LIMITED POSITION

The location was perfect & within walking distance of most of the main tourist sites. The hotel room was very comfortable especially the bed, and the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We felt very welcomed. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. I would certainly recommend staying here.

The only fault I can think of is that the lift doors close very quickly so you have to be careful, but that is being really fussy.

Very comfy bed in quite a small room. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. Roof top bar great for pre-dinner drinks. Good breakfast. Great location - lots of very good bars and restaurants nearby & slightly away from the main tourist part so tended to be better quality ..... yet only a few minutes from the Prado, Sol, Plaza Mayor, etc

Balcony was small and no seating so could only stand on it - not worth paying for this.

Property is clean and the bathroom has a large shower.

Hotel not full and given room a courtyard room (which did pay for) looking into another room and yet another that could look into mine and next to a service door so could hear staff talking early every day and gathering their supplies for the day. Only one outlet in bedroom and I in bathroom.

We had a fabulous stay; the staff were so welcoming, the room spacious and the bed extremely comfy. We had a perfect view over Santa Ana Square and enjoyed the sunrise through our window. The position of the hotel could not be better for walking to all the main points of interest without taking the metro.

Our only mistake was not checking the cost of drinking bottled water from the mini bar which required downloading the price from scanning a QR code on the tv screen. Upon checkout, we found it was the most expensive water we had ever drunk, still, our mistake for not checking first! Everything else was great...
