Hotel Serrano by Silken

This is an unpretentious but solidly comfortable hotel just off Madrid’s main luxury shopping avenue and the tree-lined ‘paseos’ that run down past the Prado to the station. As such, it is especially convenient for shopping, dining, the park and the museums, perhaps slightly less so for the old city, the palace and the opera. There are several metro stations nearby. rates, breakfast included, are very reasonable for the location.

Nothing to complain about. the buffet breakfast is adequate without being spectacular.

The room was nicely decorated and quite spacious, providing ample space for relaxation. The bathroom was large and well-maintained, with all necessary amenities provided. The presence of a safe in the room was an added bonus, giving me peace of mind while traveling. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always willing to assist with any queries or requests.

While the hotel's location was generally convenient, the steep incline of the street made it a bit challenging to walk up and down, especially with luggage.

Superb location, friendly and helpful staff, quiet and clean room. Very good value for a four star hotel in a European capital city. Some very good restaurants nearby. We were running the half marathon and it was only a 2 minute walk to the start line - worth noting if a) you're planning to do the same and b) the start remains in the same place.

Room was very hot and air con didn't work at all, we left the windows open and that sorted the problem - we stayed in March, I imagine this would be a big problem later in the year. Breakfast was overpriced - went to a really good restaurant round the corner for breakfast the second morning and had a far superior meal for a lower price...

This was a small, almost boutique hotel in an upscale neighborhood. There were six floors with only seven rooms per floor. I requested a quiet room, and my room was very quiet. The hotel was exceedinglky clean and well kept. Wifi was free and robust enough for me. The room was a little small, but it was adequate for me as a single traveler. There was no teapot, tea, coffee or bottled water available in the room. There was a mini fridge with beverages for purchase. The reception staff were excellent, and they assisted me in very many details.

It was a littlke difficult to find the hotel.

The suite-like room was beautiful. The view was alright and the staff were among the best I have ever interacted with. The lobby was nice too. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure.

While the location was close to points of interest, the area itself was a bit boring and uninspiring. There are no grocery stores nearby. There was a weird rotten / moldy smell from the HVAC on some nights for a few hours. The vibe is a bit too old-fashioned for my tastes. Neighbours were a bit noisy, especially when I was trying to relax in the bathroom. Don't think it's the hotel's fault though.

Located just off the posh Serrano, this hotel is quiet and perfectly located. The entire staff was charming and accommodated every request I made almost immediately. Very nice and engaging staff, they answered any questions I had about the area. The room was a bit tight, but I asked for the smallest room they had, so it was not a surprise and I was totally satisfied with it. The breakfast is quite substantial and varied, so it was very good. I really enjoyed my stay there!

The only thing I didn't like was that the safe in my room wasn't working. It seems one needs a key to activate it at first and the previous guest ran off with it and I couldn't make use of it. The staff was very quick in coming to my aid, but when they couldn't find an extra key, I told them it wasn't necessary and would make do without it for the rest of my stay. It was not a big inconvenience and in no way should it change your decision about this wonderful place.

We loved this hotel: location, confortable beds, glamorous bathrooms, everything was great! We didn’t have breakfast included and had to leave before breakfast was served ( 7:30 am) , all coffee shops in the area don’t open until 8 am. Luckily the dining room staff helped us and prepared some delicious cappuccinos and croissants ( for a charge). Something to consider if you have an early flight.

I wonder why the Hotel Serrano was rated "three stars", for it met all standards with many four star hotels I stayed in before. The hotel seemed completely refurbished, with spotlessly clean comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Front desk staff was polite and helpful. I would rate the breakfast buffet as exceeding the three star standard. A variety of bathroom amenities were provided, which adds to the positive overall impression about this hotel.

The location of the hotel is just perfect, a 30min walk from the very center, but on the other hand there are plenty of shops and restaurant around the hotel. The room was nice and spacious and the bathroom renovated, nice and clean. The staff was helpful and kind.

Great staff, bedroom clean and silent, location is convenient and there are good options a ten minute ride from the hotel.

The property was great but I missed some more options of food being delivered to the bedroom. That Telepizza is a 4… you should recommend some other better options..
