We Hotel Jeju

We stayed at the hotel on 22.9-27.9. We arrived in Jeju Island and wanted to rent a car, but we had a problem with the international license we issued, so no company agreed to rent to us. We had to get to the hotel by taxi and change the entire schedule we had planned. When we arrived in the hotel, we were upset and sad, because of the situation and shared about it the reception and the concierge. From that moment, they did everything to encourage and help us. The staff was lovely, helpful, caring. Mr Kim from the reception together with another employee welcomed us in the check in, in a very pleasant and warm way. Mr. Tak, the concierge, was very nice and after the check-in, when he heard about what happened to us, He sat with us and helped us to plan a schedule that could be done with the hotel's shuttle, buses and a taxi. From that moment, every time we met Mr Tak, he asked how we were doing, what we did and where we traveled and if we were having fun. Such a high level of service!!! I will continue to refer to the very tasty and varied food at breakfast, the delicious dishes that can be ordered at the hotel's bar, the hotel's restaurant and room service, for lunch and dinner. Also I would like to refer to the amazing pools. There are 2 pools - outdoor and indoor. There is also a hot jacuzzi next to the outdoor pool. The indoor one is heated and you can swim in it even on a cool evening. We went to the pool every day after a whole day of traveling and it was just a great fun. The hotel itself is lovely, its' area, the bar in the lobby which was very pleasant to sit in and order something to eat and drink and hear piano playing from the lovely pianist Sveta. Our room was very nice, big, with comfortable bed and a very nice view of the sea. The areas around the hotel to walk in are charming and pastoral! Gardens, grass, trees, forest and a small lake with a waterfall and fish.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, especially all of the concierge staff! They went out of their way to help us book taxis, change a reservation and even have us some advice on where to climb an alternative mountain to hallasan seeing as it was closed. The two staff we encountered in the wellness centre who did our Aqua Fitness and Aqua Calming programmes were also great. The hotel manager was around and came to talk to us at breakfast which was very nice.

It’s difficult to get places without a car, but taxis are quite reasonable. It was a shame that the rooftop restaurant wasn’t open in winter and that the sauna is an extra 10,000 won.

Wonderful room. Incredible breakfast. Unbelievably kind and helpful bellman called Tak! Gorgeous surroundings. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of diversity and felt lucky to have such a good selection of korean food as well as western. All top quality. Coffee not bad either!

The bar staff were not great. Tiny expensive cocktails and very basic. My husband who is a professional musician, played the piano (very gently and beautifully) was told to stop, as it is apparently not allowed to be played by anyone other than the paid pianist.

The hotel is well located in the southern part of the Island making easy to reach the beautiful Hyeopjae and many attractions like Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls. Everything was so clean and the room is pretty big. The restaurant is also pretty good. Staff was nice with a special mention to Tak that was super helpful in providing help, infos and suggestions.

Breakfast is too expensive and you cannot order a la carte until 10am (so you're "forced" to get the full breakfast), I suggest you to rent a car because it's gonna be expensive to move with taxis only, would be awesome if some staff members improve their english a little bit :)

This was a luxury resort stay with a fair price on beautiful Jeju Island. We had such a spacious room overlooking natural forest views and the sea in the distance. The staff were all lovely, however we had a stand-out concierge staff member who demonstrated the community values of Jeju Island, his name is Tak. He was so funny and friendly and always happy to help with tourism advice or concerns and gave us plenty of food recommendations. The hotel also employs an extremely talented pianist in the evening to play in the communal sitting area/lobby which amplified the overall beautiful experience.

Breakfast was very good The concierge (Tak) was outstandingly helpful and very attentive to make our stay comfortable The grounds are amazing The spa is great , specially outdoor jacuzzi

The dinner at the restaurant was a little too quiet (we were the only guests in the dining room ) and did not make it cozy and dinner room a little cold I would have preferred some flexibility in the time for the activities included in the package , understanding the limitations of course Spa was fabulous but a little cold

Beautiful place in the midst of the woods, solitary and quiet. Has well equipped facilities. Invested trails around the woods, nice gardens, and natural pools. Warming and friendly hospitality, especially by Jinhyub Tak, the concierge manager. Fantastic sea view and mountain view rooms.

The price - although well equipped. I paid about 200$ p.n, and when I expanded it for one more night, it was down to 130$ in booking.com. I believe 130 is the best value-for-money. The food can be much cheaper as well. The spa treatments can be a lot cheaper, 240K won for 60 minutes full body oil massage. No balconies is petty. Shuttle from the airport and car rental desk could be a great addition.

Superb service, great facilities and cleanliness. Service staff (Sonia) went the extra mile when we asked about medication - she checked on the nearest clinic, called them to make sure they stocked the pills we needed, all on her own initiative!

Location was a bit far out compared to some other hotels in the city area, but it was easy to drive to and fro! Note that an extra bottle of water would cost 10k won.

Only one restaurant (the second on the rooftop was under renovation), The outdoor pool was not open yet, though it might be still cold

We had the most amazing stay on Jeju Island, mainly because of the incredible WE Hotel! The hotel, its location and its staff are exceptional! Upon arrival in Jeju, we experienced a disaster, being denied a rental car due to a technicality. This has never happened to us before, and it became a hugely difficult situation, not aided by the language (oral and written) barrier. As a ‘Damsel in Distress’ I reached out to the hotel, who just embraced us and quickly organised alternative transport and ensured that we were looked-after upon pick-up and during the 45-min journey to the hotel. This world-class level of service continued upon arrival and throughout our stay. It was so personal, insightful, supportive and really made us feel ‘at home’ and enabled us to take advantage of what this amazing destination has to offer. In particular, we would like to highlight Tak, Senior Concierge. A huge personal Thank You for everything! The hotel itself is beautiful and placed in a stunning location, close to Hallasan National Park and Seogwipo-si. It is set in forests / gardens (with nature tours being offered daily) – making it really tranquil and peaceful. Our room was lovely, with a small seating area next to the windows overlooking these forests and Mount Hallasan (seaview also available). The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. We loved the lounge / downstairs bar – it was really special and a perfect place for an afternoon tea or pre-dinner drink. We used the main restaurant each night – which offered an excellent choice of both international and local dishes. Our breakfasts comprised a superb range of both European and Asian breakfast food items. We also utilised the wellness centre, with an excellent package of treatments, as well as the indoor and outdoor pool. The pool area is one of the better ones that we have come across for a long time, with indoor therapeutic stations, an outdoor large hot tub and an unheated pool.

Nothing negative about this hotel. In summary, WE Hotel was the perfect conduit for creating a perfect holiday experience! We would also like to note that the hotel was also super helpful in helping us achieve our planned itinerary despite our lack of rented car transport. Alternative transport was efficiently organised (a mix of taxis and the hotel shuttle bus) and insight provided into each of our chosen adventures of trekking Mount Hallasan and exploring the waterfalls, lava cliffs and other attractions in- and near-Jungmun. The little bakery/drinks shop on site also brilliantly provided us with necessary supplies for our 8.5 hour Mount Hallasan trek.
