Hotel Histrion

Very nice, modern room, very comfortable and clean. Nice indoor pool area. Very helpful and kind staff.

The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have its own beach area and guests are recommended to go to the beach of a 3* hotel which is crowded and of a lower quality than you would expect from a 4* hotel.

Location is good, food is ok , pool area (indoor) is great

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Hotel staff very nice and accommodating. The swimming pools with sea water is huge and perfect. The rooms are modern and comfortable. A really great experience, we will look forward to staying again next year.

I have no negatives. I will allow myself only one recommendation: on the Internet, when searching for information about the pool complex, it would be appropriate to emphasize more the incomparability of the new, modern, huge and excellent pools with salt water. When we were looking for a comparison between the pools in the city and the Hotel Histrion when ordering, it wasn't obvious how big and amazing the pools at the Histrion are. It's a shame, it would certainly appeal to others. We are very glad that we chose Histrion and not the hotels in the city.

I have been staying in this hotel a few times, and most likely will be again. Friendly and helpful stuff; fast check-in and check-out. The rooms are very nicely decorated and just the right size with lots of storage space. Perfectly located between Piran (2km) and Portoroz "Center" (2km), it is therefore convenient for a nice evening/morning stroll.

The configuration of the hotel is somehow strange as there are a lot of rooms and only a few floors, meaning the halls/corridors are very long, and to reach the furthest rooms, it is quite a walk, which some people might find not very convenient. The remote control did not work, but I was there only for one night, so TV was not a necessary amenity.

Excellent location, short walking distance to Piran and Portoroz with all restaurants and attractions nearby. Hotel located just at the sea. I’m think it’s the best hotel for the sea holiday in whole Portoroz-Piran area. All other hotels are at least across the road, but this one is straight at the sea. If you take sea view room you won’t regret. View is really great and cost it’s money for sure. Absolutely stunning spa zone with many pools of different size, shape and purpose. Few big pools for swimming and one small for toddlers, separate pool with waterslides are real gem for kids. Breakfasts was good, big choice and all was tasty. Very nice impression overall and great holiday time at this hotel

Rooms might be a bit bigger. Not possible to drive close to the hotel entrance, might be a bit of problem if you have too many luggage. Apart of that, all was great

The rooms were amazing, the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Everything is clean, perfectly stylish and lovel. The food is very nice. The spa was 11/10! We LOVED it!

I have never ever, in my life, had to wait ONE HOUR for a simple check in, with 3 people in front of me, it was unbelievable. Also the staff was super rude. They did not offer even a glass of water for the clearly irritated guests and they randomly turned away to do something else. Like… making a phone call, writing something on notes, fidgeting around with something, or just disappearing without saying ANYTHING AT ALL. Not a single “excuse me” or “sorry”, or telling us what the hell they are doing instead of proceeding with checking in. It was truly outrageous, every guest was very angry because of their attitude. The director of the hotel was sometimes seen walking like the queen of the palace, making sure to not look anyone in the eye and ignoring the angry guests. Pfft.

Views were amazing. Close to Piran and Portoroz. Breakfast was excellent.

Reception never answered phones. It took them 10 hours to deliver extra pillows requested. TV internet kept dropping every 5 minutes. Internet in general was very bad, slow and hard to engage. Room was very warm, and a/c didn’t work well. Went down to the Wellness spa to ask for some nail polish remover on a cotton ball that I brought myself, and was refused! She would not get up to simply squeeze some on the pad. I was going to remove the polish myself. Very rude!

- great location, nice sea view, short walk to Portorož or Piran - I've never seen so friendly maids before - with the biggest smiles on their faces, and very helpful! they made my day every time I saw them - very nice room, clean and bright with relaxing ambient lighting and big balcony - pools are relaxing, very nice and clean with sea view (very nice at sunset), water temperature perfect for swimming, staff in pool bar is very friendly, - lots of relaxing areas in hotel, all with sea view and comfortable sofas - in the hallway there is bin for separation waste, very nice way to support sustainble tourism! - breakfast delicious, various selection of food, lots of staff there, very friendly, they clean all the time

- room was nice, but not comfortable at all. I came home even more tired then I was before vacation. I booked room with large double bad, but got two single beds. - beds are in bad condition, pillows too hard (I asked for another, receptionist said he will check and they will bring it, but I didn't get one, don't know the reason, I got feeling they don't even care) - there was also very cold at night! I tried to raise temperature, didn't work. I don't even know, if there was any heating in the room. Bathroom was warm.

The hotel is extremelly clean and recently renovated. Location is great, and view of the sea is stunning. Breakfast had vast options, and dinner was good as well. The room looks exactly as in picture. Water in the pools is salty.

kettle and some complementary tea/ coffee would have been appreciated. hotel says to have a parking - they do, but 10-20 places - rest of the guests need to park in a garage and pay 10 €/day. only pool is included in the price - saunas are not - and the price is not the same on the website and in the reception.

This was our third stay in this hotel and everything was absolutely perfect again. I want to highlight the pool area with its view to the sea, which is amazing to be at the cold winter time. Also we traveled with our four year old son who enjoyed the food and the childrens pool area.

Some minor changes since last year where that the minibar is now only equipped on request, which we didn't know before arrival. And a broken hairdryer which was replaced. I would like to underline that everybody is friedenly and helpful in case of any issues.
