Nice breakfast, modern hotel close to railway station

Extra cost for ”everything” - like at 12.00 noon ”we have your room ready, but if you take it before 14.00, you have to pay extra” - or ”no that coffee machine in the lobby is not for you, coffee in the bar costs 1,5€”. Small things matter in creating or harming a good feeling! And the price of the night was not very low…

Even though the termostat was set for a certain value, the room was a bit cold the entire stay. I think the heating is set by them and not the termostat in the room. Parking also quite expensive, 20 eur / day

Stayed here after a long train ride and before a morning covid test for air to US. Lots of local issues with lockdown, BUT we have never used the skills of the desk staff as we did here, for helping us order dinner, print forms for the airline, give transit directions for tests, and extend the room a few hours. They were awesome. The breakfast, which was served in the room, was wonderful. The room is 'romantic' with a lot of glass in the bath, and we had Marlene Dietrich in our room for company.

Good location. Not in the city center but 10-15 min walking distance from it. On the other hand it was very close to the main railway station, which is great if you plan to visit other places too. It was also right next to the stop of the airport bus which is really nice, especially when your flight departures 6 in the morning. Despite of being that close to the railway station our room was very quiet, something that I'm always looking for. We didn't buy breakfast in advance but ordered it almost every day on the reception. It had everything I expected, even more. I definitely recommend it. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They helped us with directions, food recommendations, earlier check-in and whatever other questions we had. Thank you guys, you were the best! The room was OK but we didn't spend much time there.

If I remember correctly if you want to change towels you need to ask for it. It wasn't a problem and I completely understand the environmental reason for that but still I think that changing it every, let's say 3 days without explicitly asking for it would be better.

The hotel boasts a strategic location right across from the terminus of a tram line that conveniently stops in the city center and traverses the entire town, which is excellently connected by public transportation. Amazing central location, but not as wonderful as the friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfast buffet seemed endless !!!!! I had a room with a double bed, with a deligthtfully hard mattress, it also had amazing blankets and there was a bath !!! bath salts + bath robe included. I ended up extending my stay for 3 more nights instead of visiting a hostel and I was warmly embraced (-: (and gifted access to an executive lounge). In case my mind ever wanders off to Bratislava, I will most certainly check for this hotel, nay, this comfortable experience disguised as a hotel, first !!!

Clarion is a perfect spot if you need a quick stopover from train to train, as I did. I got upgraded to an executive suite, so the room size was fantastic and also very quiet (faced an inner courtyard). Also had unlimited access to the executive lounge for free coffee, juices, bottled water, snacks all day long; so that was a great bonus. It is an easy 15-minute tram ride or 20-30 minute walk to the city centre.

Not sure if I didn't use the temperature control properly, but the air conditioning in my room was blowing fan air instead of cool air. Not a huge deal, but it would have made the stay during the hot summer days a bit more comfortable.

Location was great, pretty close to the city center and few meters from the main train station. Rooms are pretty big and comfortable. There is a pretty big variety of options for breakfast. Hotel is very modern and clean. I really liked the fact that it was clean and that staff at the reception was very friendly.

I didn’t like the breakfast in the point of people with allergies. In my case celiac disease. Also the breakfast buffet didn’t have any allergies signs, which is nowadays required by EU. So, I was afraid to eat some things and when I asked the staff, they didn’t know the ingredients. So, thats why you put allergy signs and ingredients. There was only vegetable and lactose free milk and the breakfast buffet didn’t offer gluten free bread. Also the mattress was very uncomfortable in my room.

The bed! I came to Bratislava three times during my trip and I would not even look for another place after my first stay, I stayed here each time because of the bed, it's probably the best bed I've ever slept on! Staff were all professional & friendly and the breakfast was great! I also loved the signature scent! Smelled amazing each time you walked in the door. Right next to the train station, very convenient for day trips. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bratislava if I ever come back

The rooms require urgent maintenance, some of the rooms I stayed in looked like they were falling apart and had damaged walls, floors, doors. The water damage from shower overflow was just painted over instead of rectified but the door frame and plaster is rotting away. The rain shower only worked in my last room, the other two didn't work at all. Owners of the hotel should fix these issues because it's such a nice hotel these things let it down and make it not worth the price paid

Good location as it's close to the train station and is within walking distance of the historical centre; and if you don't feel like walking, there is a tram stop directly opposite. Despite this, the room was quiet. Breakfast was very good, and the room was clean and had everything I needed for my short stay. The staff were extremely helpful.

Although I know it is trendy, and it wasn't a problem for me as I was travelling alone, the glass-walled bathroom could be a problem if you're travelling with someone you don't feel 100 percent comfortable with. Thankfully the toilet was "normal" with walls and a door, but the lack of walls and curtains, and the placement of mirrors mean that there's no chance of having a shower in private!
