Terrou-Bi

I stayed here for one night, the day before departing from Senegal. It was very comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was extensive and delicious and all of the staff were very polite. The small beach and swimming area is lovely and very scenic. I had dinner in the Terrace restaurant which was very nice and allows you to look out over the ocean. It was a very peaceful stay and they have taxis on site with prices advertised so it was easy to catch a taxi to the airport the next day.

Nothing much to complain about but although the food was very good, I do think that the restaurant is overpriced when compared to what you might pay off-site. So if you are on a budget, don't be afraid to venture elsewhere for some of your meals.

The spacious room came with a balcony, sea view; fairly quiet. Very good bathroom/shower; great breakfast selection and service - wonderful fresh juices (5-6?) including ginger and grapefruit. Good food / dinner in the restaurant. Nice beach and sunbeds. Helpful staff allowing us to keep same room when an agent extended our stay with another two nights (due to some delay on a cruise, another story).

Nothing really unfavorable, just reminders: Not walking distance to the old city/markets in the heat of the day, should book transport. Beware mosquitoes may sting in the middle of the day at the beach which appeared eco-friendly with birds and lizards which were much appreciated, and we just had to remember repellent.

The location was beautiful and the hotel was nice. the best part was the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming.

Two things I didn’t like were roaches, and the haggling with some taxi drivers on the property. One, i understand roaches can’t always be controlled, however, it’s an expensive 5 star hotel. I should not be battling roaches in my room and bathroom. Two, one driver in particular was terrible. He told us one price before we departed the hotel and mid-drive he tried to charge us extra to turn on the air condition and then he increased the price because HE missed our stop by mistake.

This magical hotel was on the beach - one really could not see what it was from the road. It was a beach resort within the city. Our room overlooked the sea and was very comfortable. But the highlight were the dinners at their restaurant-bar on the coast. I just loved their cocktails and the food. We also enjoyed seeing the local Sengalese business workers come for meetings at the hotel, dressed in their colored silk suits and matching shoes and the women in the most beautiful, color-splashed and coordinated outfits and a matching headresses. I have never seen such high fashion in any other African country.

The customer service was exceptional! Just to name a few, Jean Baptiste and Abdul Malick at the front desk, Berenice at the breakfast and lunch desk, guard etc.... I have not experience this level of customer service at other 5 Stars resorts in the West. Super proud!

A few un-invited guests in my room (roaches). But hey, aren't we in Africa? 😉

By far the best Hotel in Dakar. I´ve been one week before in Radisson and this one is best, because the exterior areas are much better, The pool is much bigger and it has a nice private beach, all of it very close from each other. The natural juiices at breackfast are excelent!

The breakfast is normal for the high price charged (24€/person) and its not speacially organized, with many people making their orders at the same time , ones stand up, others seated...and you cannot help yourselve, you must order to the staff to be them picking up what you choose, which is not very pratical specially when crowded. The fitness center is farway from the lobby and the rooms.

Our family of four had a great time at Terrou-Bi. The entire staff (reception, restaurants, pool) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel granted us a late check out time. we had booked two adjacent rooms with a view of the sea and the rooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms had everything we needed.

I think that the hotel could renew the furniture of the breakfast room and of the bar. The furniture is pretty worn out.

Since theoment I walked in I was over welmed by the very nice welcome from the staff. They were very quick in checking us in and the room was very clean. And the staff are very intelligent and profesional, always smiling ,they answer all my questions and I felt that all my needs were covered right away. I have been to many 5 star hotels in west Africa. This hotel was the best especially the staff and service.

There is nothing in particular that I didn't like. Over all stay was fantastic

The reception seems disorganized. The rooms are comfortable but expensive if we consider that they are not luxurious.

The room service menu was very good. The pool was luxurious and the service was also impeccable.

The breakfast sausage was not good quality meat.
