Hotel Grao Vasco

Perfect location near Plaza Respublika. Excellent garden inside the property. Good breakfast, clean room. Parking next to the hotel entry. But very narrow, hard to take the angle to park. If you park a midsize car between white lines, as I did, slots on both sides on my car remained empty.

There is only one power outlet in the room, deep under the table. There are two more near the beds, again, close to the floor, but to use them you have to detach bed lamps. I have a simple proposal: put an extended cord with two-three outlets on the table - and the problem solved.

The hotel was lovely with good pool although a little noisy due to traffic but it is city centre hotel so to be expected. The pool area could benefit from trees or fence to hide the garage which is a little unsightly but a little thing really. The location is superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar prices were also good and the cleaners were fantastic.

We were there five nights and although breakfast was good there was not variation so was a bit boring. Would have liked variation but there was lots of choice. Snacks at lunchtime could be a little more expansive. A salad or similar.

Swimming pool and inside swimming ans gym area. Large bar area . Large reception .

Poor parking arrangements . This was due to work being carried out . Access to pool. Very poor. Could find way back into hotel . Twice . The bedroom we had was on the busy side of the street and all we could hear was motorcycles late at night , up to 4 am , so had a poor sleep .

Very nice hotel in a lovely setting - easy walk to all the main sights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful buffet breakfast with large variety. Convenient and free parking on premises.

The bed was good except the rubber mattress protector was a little strange and uncomfortable. The internet was not very good.

The hotel is in an excellent location and has ample parking. It's very grand looking and impressive. The pool area and garden are lovely. Our room was great very comfortable and not a bad size. Breakfast was included in the price and was great. There was a lot of variety. There is also a nice bar area. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly

To use the sauna in the spa you have to ask at Reception for them to switch it on which we didn't realise at first. When we did this we went 30 minutes later as we were told it needed that to heat it. It wasn't quite hot enough when we got there so we went for a swim first. Then when we returned to the sauna it had already been switched off. So very frustrating as there was no phone down there to call reception. Also there were no robes or slippers in the rooms and no changing rooms or lockers in the spa. We one had an issue on check out over the bill. The receptionist was very flustered so came across as rude. Overall was had a lovely stay and will come again

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff ready to help. Great location, and the room size was just right for two. Very clean, and all in good comdition. From there we walked the city and visited the main attraction. It’s a very charming town. From there we drove to Fatima, which is less than an hour and very easy to reach.

Nothing!

Everything went fine except for the image quality on the TV set in the bedroom. The wifi signal was good and there is no reason to complain.

We would have liked the TV signal to be better coming from the hotel box or else the TV set was not tuned well.

The central location, the breakfast and the cleanliness were excellent

The car-parking is positively darwinistic, with guests struggling for every little bit of parking space and manoeuvring in the carpark extremely difficult.

Breakfast was OK and the breakfast room is very nice and enjoyable. Although Viseu is a small town, the Hotel location is fantastic for center sightseeing.

it’s beautiful. Physical beauty is always a self renewing quality that when I find it I like to share it.

The beds are a little hard for my and my wife’s taste, but not too bad
