Oh Fatima you are a gem. Such a lovely, hardworking and funny lady. You made our trip to Lagos extra special. We were able to park our hire car out the front which was brilliant. I don’t think I have ever stayed at cleaner accommodation anywhere! Fatima takes so much care in the presentation of her property. The breakfast room is set up so pretty each morning, with extra touches. All your recommendations were spot on for eating or exploring and we did go by Porto Covo on our drive to Lisbon as suggested by you. Loved every minute in Lagos,as we knew nothing of its history and at Alta Mar.

I don't typically write reviews often but Fatima is a lovely person and does quite a lot to make you feel at home Fatima is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable and truly cares about how you are and who you are. The breakfast will not make you full, but was delicious with fresh fruits, bread, ham, cheese orange juice and coffee. More than enough for the price you pay for your stay.

This has nothing to do with Fatima, but more about the other guests. I would just ask that if you stay there to please clean up after yourself regarding the shared bathroom and be mindful that there are towels to clean the water from the shower and please use the toilet brush.

Very nice place with friendly staff which makes you feel like home! Breakfast is very nice with delicious fresh fruit, facilities are clean and everything is comfortable. Staff is very nice and friendly and helpful in everything you need. We have been on working trip there and we couldnt ask for better place to stay, really comforting in all ways! Very recomended!

We had rental car and parking in the are is quite challenging, improved my parking skills there fo sure! Otherwise nothing negative I can think of, we are back soon for sure!

Everything! Fatima is a great host so friendly, chatty and helpful. We were able to check in early which was fantastic. The room was super clean and we had a shared bathroom room which again was always really clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing- lovely bread and pastry selection- complete with fruit and even a pastel de nata! Location was great- only a few minutes to bars and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Parking right outside was super useful. Our favourite stay during our Portugal road trip. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Nothing, absolutely fantastic.

The apartment room was great, very clean and a good space for one person. The semi-private balcony was a nice place to sit in the evening. The host was WONDERFUL, so helpful and kind, the free breakfast was a nice touch, the food was fresh and decent for the price paid. When I had an early bus to Lisbon, the host kindly put my breakfast in a take-away container for the ride. Once I understood the roads that led into town and the different beaches, it was very easy to walk around the whole area. A great value for your money.

There was a misunderstanding when I arrived, the host was upstairs and missed my doorbell ring and unfortunately my data was not working, so I had to find a nearby cafe to try and call the host. I should have confirmed my time of arrival beforehand so she could be ready for me. The first day, I had a bit of trouble navigating the roads in and out of the centre of Lagos, as well as the roads leading to the nearby beaches, but once I understood the directions, it was very easy.

Alto Mar Inn was great! The location is great, slightly outside city center 5-8min walk, 5 min walk to a large grocery store and 10-30min walk to various amazing beaches in the area. My room was lovely, clean, and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was delicious. Fatima was amazing!! She responded very quickly to my texts, was super helpful (allowed me to borrow a sun umbrella and beach towel!) and always had a smile on her face. I had a very nice time, highly recommend.

I usually don’t write or read reviews here, because 1st) I’m lazy and 2nd) I always think the people writing reviews aren’t really honest because they get some discount or similar out of it. Until I stayed in this little hotel and got to knew Fatima. Hands down the sweetest lady i met during all of my stays. The breakfast was delicious and everything was so clean! she was also very welcoming and informative about the activities and restaurants at Lagos. If I’ll ever come back to Lagos, I’ll stay here for sure.

The host was very friendly and helpful. She gave us very good recommendations for restaurants and diferent places to visit. The room was cozy and we were sharing the bathroom but everything was super clean!

The breakfast was ok. We just found it could be a little bite better for the price you pay for the stay. When we read the previous reviews talking about the breakfast it just seem better. Otherwise all was very good!

We arrived after walking the Rita Vincentina. Our check in was smooth and Fatima took us through the details of our stay. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet. Fitted with both a ceiling fan and AC unit. The shared bathroom was only with one other guest and spotless. The roof terrace has a table and chairs, and a seating area. It’s a lovely sun trap and perfect for drinks in the evening. The location is perfect, right next to old town but not busy street. Lagos is a beautiful place with vibrant streets and lively atmosphere. Fatima recommended an authentic restaurant which we loved. The breakfast was great to wake up to and just what you need when traveling. We were given a range of lovely treats. The check out was simple, Fatima said we could leave a bag behind so that we could explore the city some more. We managed to leave some clothes behind by accident and realized on the train! Fatima offered to post them back for us which is above and beyond exceptional! So many thanks for an amazing stay

I usually NEVER write reviews but this accommodation definitely deserves one. Fátima was SUCH a nice host, so much hospitality and kindness, I had the feeling she would help you with everything. My stay at her playe was so peaceful, cosy and calm. I really liked the location, a quite neighbourhood but just a short walk and you're in the streets of the old town. Fátima prepared breakfast for me every day, even on my last day when I had to leave early she left fruit to take away in the fridge. She always asked about my well-being, if I need anything or gave recommendations. The bed was really comfortable, perfect for a good rest and everything was clean. Então, I can just recommend Fátima's place!

Well I can't really think of something bad, at most maybe some minor things like that the breakfast could be a little bit more healthy or that the kitchen isn't really furnished for cooking. BUT, I don't want to complain at all.
