Hotel Admirał

It's a modern building, but fits well within the historic centre of Gdańsk. Great location, not too far from the main rail station and minutes away from the main attractions of the Old/Main Town. The staff was superb - polite and accommodating. Very clean, good amenities and a free sauna for guests. No complaints about the continental breakfast either - decent selection and fresh. All in all recommended - not the cheapest option, but quite reasonable for the quality you get and the location.

The only problem was a transient unpleasant smell in the common areas on the day we arrived. According to the reception, there's a general problem with the sewage system in the old town and so it happens occasionally. We were a group and booked two separate rooms - one of them was fine, but the other one was also a bit smelly. Fortunately and with zero fuss the staff relocated us to the suite and so we got a free upgrade, and the smell issue was gone too.

Breakfast was very good both its quantity and its quality. The place was at the same point central and quiet, the room was spacious, quiet and very well decorated and equipped, bed was very comfortable, the cleaning was very satisfactory, the politeness of the personel and especially the lady at the reception (morning/day shifts of 20-23 July 2023) is commendable.

The price was a little bit high for what the hotel offered.

I am all in for trying new breakfast customs, and loved the salad options since I was recovering from a week of less than ideal health. Great room interior- Beautiful furniture.

A minibar would be nice, to keep things cold, ect water, ham, beer, ect. The staff was less hello/welcome-oriented than I am used to, but that might have something to do with culture.

Location was excellent and room was perfect it’s not a mini bar just a fridge but there is a supermarket very close by. and breakfast was the usual continental though no bacon and the sausages looked anaemic as if they should still be in the animal🤮. Loads of salads sweet corn gherkins for breakfast! But there was loads of breads, cold meats cheese and cereals and of course sweet cakes. Location just sold it for us as u come out of hotel turn right n ur by the riverside which is a tourist trap so go off beaten track up the wee cobbled streets and it’s like Alice in Wonderland

Bacon for breakfast and also i had to ask at reception for hairdryer. I didn’t bring one with me as it stated one was in the room

The hotel is well located. The room is clean. The breakfast offers multiple choices. The parking is a nice bonus.

The room is big, but the furniture is a little bit old and the bed not so comfortable. The wifi signal is very weak.

Excellent location - three or four minutes' walk to quayside, with stunning views and huge choice of bars and restaurants. And/or ten minutes to the centre of the old town. A perfect situation - near enough, but away from what would probably be, in the summer, a lot of noise, hustle and bustle. Very good breakfast, with generous opening hours, which meant that there was always room and no pressure to finish and move on.

The location is very good - right in the center of Gdansk. Also enjoyed steam room and sauna which you use privately.

The air conditioner was working very loudly and you can not control it from your room. We asked at the front desk twice to turn it off, but still it was working on and off, so we just had to ignore it.

Excellent location, close to the waterfront for boats to Sopot & Westerplatte, walking distance to Dlugi Targ and the Main town, or in the other direction to World War 2 Museum and Soldarity museum.

A lovely hotel in old city. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is great.

Take into consideration the fact that the hotel is in the city centre, in old city thus the nightlife is in full swing there and at times the area could be quite noisy. Also, make reservation for the car in advance as there are not many places to park the car nearby, Wi-fi was not working during our stay.

We stay in Gdansk a lot as we always travel on to my wife's relatives. We have stopped in Hotel Admiral several times and always try and book it as it is a nice friendly place with a great breakfast and a very good location
