Beachside Resort Motel Whitianga

Lovely, well kept complex. Kitchenette and bedroom were separate from the spacious living area. It was clean and comfortable and close to the beach. There was a little table with two chairs outside, and we could enjoy the late afternoon sitting outside.

Can't really complain about too much. It was pretty hot in there when we arrived with no a/c but they had a giant fan, and we opened all windows, and by the time we went to bed the temperature was okay. It was a bit noisy with a party going on somewhere but we suspect it was at a private property next to the hotel, so nothing they could do about it. Would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed in the ground floor single bedroom unit and the accommodation was clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. The location is great with a short walk to the beach, ferry and town. The staff and people in the town are friendly and helpful. The pool was great to cool off and chill out when the wind at the beach was a bit much. Will definitely stay here again.

Tenants staying on the floor above us could become annoying, stomping around and moving furniture at 10/11pm but this is out of the establishments control, just inconsiderate people. Room is needing some additional hooks along a wall to hang up towels, jackets etc.

Parking right outside our unit, good comfortable bed, comfortable couch. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The motel is close to the beach and 2 sets of shops

Because we were given a unit that was set up for disabled people, the bathroom had a shower that wet the whole floor, even with the curtains pulled shut. While it is good that the motel caters for disabled people, the bathroom was annoying with it's wet floor, and the lack of a bench or even a small shelf to put your toothbrush and razor on. I booked a standard room, so didn't expect the bathroom we got.

Everything was great. The room was clean and well presented. The location was very central to everything. Just a stones throw. Staff were really friendly and the pool was excellent.

No Air Conditioning. It was extremely uncomfortable sleeping. Even with doors and windows open. It could really benefit from a split system being installed. The shower head also could do with an update or some maintenance but I’d say the air con was the thing missing the most.

- Spacious one bedroom ground floor unit with sea view. - Immaculately clean. - Well equipped kitchen with a two-pot hob. - Two wall mounted TVs. - Comfortable sofa. - Nice bed with a selection of pillows. - Good location just a short stroll from the centre of town. - Just around the corner from a Four Square shop.

- One of the lounge chairs was a bit worn and we couldn't get the CD player to work but these were very minor issues for us.

Lovely welcome on arrival. Shown on a map (for me to keep) - nearby places of interest to visit. Contact information for any tours I might want to go on. Details for the local eateries and where they were situated. Awesome info, when your a new visitor in town! Parking right outside the unit. Very spacious, clean neat and tidy! Very close to the beach and the wharf.

The weather!

location was good but approach to property leave a little to be desired hard to find street No, confusing double resort signage we finished up entering by wrong gate and sign was intimidating as it read 'you are entering private property'but we continued and drove past tennis court and swimming pool and then we found 'reception: after that we were all sorted, room was great except for confusing tv,towels and bedding were all excellent ,we sampled pool which was great all in all a brilliant week end with dinning at RSA cheers

confusing signage poor evidence of street No. 1st gate could have read 'entry 'and 2nd gate could have read 'exit'

Unit was so good we extended our stay for an extra night.

I would suggest that consideration be given to putting a bedside light beside the single bed in the lounge area so that anyone sleeping here does not have to get out of bed to turn off the light and thinking of health & safety, if a light was needed during the night, no one would be wandering around in the dark. There is a power point already alongside the back of the bed, so this should not be a problem. Also, please consider the older generation when you have the need to replace the lounge furniture, that the older generation often have problems getting up off low couches.

Close to the beach and easy access to bars and restaurants. Big rooms with good kitchen area. Balcony with sea view. Milk in the fridge too. Free towels for the swimming pool and beach use. Early morning walks on the beach.

Having air conditioning would have been a bonus in the 30 degree heat. One of the lounge chairs was practically bare. All the ‘leather’ had worn off and it looked scruffy.

Lovely spacious apartment. Really good having a full size fridge/freezer and oven and microwave, and dishwasher was a bonus. Good sized TV. Nice and quiet. Pool was lovely, warm and clean. Really handy walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach and ferry.

Kitchen could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived, bed was a bit firm for our liking.
