Kingswood Manor Motel

Absolutely fantastic motel. This was our 4th stay and we've decided this is our go-to motel when we have to stay on Whangarei. We loved the spaciousness of the unit, from the lounge/kitchenette to the bedroom and bathroom: so much lovely space. The spa bath is the absolute WINNER for us and we will always try to book that room. It's that lil bit of luxury that we are happy to pay extra for. Everything was meticulously clean. The king-sized bed was soft, comfy and warm, the extra blankets and pillows weren't needed but it was good to have them just in case. Honestly it's a great place to stay and worth the price if you're looking for accommodation that has a spa-bath. Just note, it's on the 2nd floor.

Have a little more dishwashing liquid and soap in the soap dispenser in the bathroom. That's all.

The staff and place were great but they had one very obnoxious guest who abused them as he couldn't maintain a phone conversation with his wife and said their wifi was dropping of, whereas I had no problem with it, people like this should shut up. The staff handled it well and even came and appologised to us for the disturbance, they asked him to leave but he kept ranting with every foul word in the book, this went on for well over half an hour after which we went out, We came back 3 hours later and could still hear him in the next unit carrying on like a spoiled brat. Thank you to the lovely gentleman on reception, there is no way you should have been treated like that and I hope you never have to deal with the likes ofthat again.

The rooms are spacious and tidy. Very large car park spaces to accommodate plenty cars I like the warmth reception given to me by the receptionist i met Out of the stressful work schedule, the cleaners keep smiling

The room was very could, i don't know if there's a heater there. If there's none, i recommend some are fix in the rooms No restaurant or bar to attend to the needs of customers, especially those who may travel there at night. I was waken up by a call made by another customer in the middle of the night, and I could not sleep again. He was so loud that everyone could hear him

Absolutely awesome place to stay, Staff are friendly and you get milk upon arrival for your coffee's and teas. Comfortable clean and well maintained. Spacious bathroom and rooms are with aircon and sky tv, clean showers and good pressure, beds are comfy great value for your stay I have stayed here 4 times and will continue to book here everytime I travel to whangarei.

Spa pool isn't working would have been great to use. Other than that we enjoy our stay here everytime.

I like the cleanliness of the rooms the beds were comfortable. Coming from a rural area, I loved the water pressure the shower had. Price wasn't too bad for what it had

I didn't like the decor. It all looks a little tired and the walls were cracked in the bathroom area. The room we had needed a lick of paint to brighten it up a little as the room seemed dark. The pictures looked better than the actual room

Convenient location as its less 2kms from cafes & restaurants along Kamo Road. Room is clean, there’s heat pump/aircon and electric blanket, strong pressure of water in shower, spacious parking space. Good communication from Katherine to let us know that receptionist is away sick when we arrive.

I think theyre doing renovation on a room and could hear in our room. Would be nice to have an electric outlet near bed side tables

Service was top notch, especially when we had a last minute change due to weather degrading. Comfortable rooms but not enough hang out space other than in queen room, where we based our group when not sleeping. Some rooms had a great mini fridge/freezer, meaning we could refreeze our ice packs!

Quite a few flies in the room which were hard to kill or get out, but they seemed to sleep when the lights went out so didn't bother me while I slept

Convenient, clean, with comfortable beds

Showerhead was leaking & spraying water, I had to wrap a flannel (wash cloth) around it to contain the spray. But the previous time I stayed at the Manor (in the same room) 3 months earlier, the shower head was the SAME, broken and spraying water everywhere. Simple enough to repair, to make the stay (for all guests) more pleasant.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Could see clues that recent renovations had been made and these were definitely good. Spa pool a little disappointing due to booking time but shower was superb. Fridge was fantastic!

Photo showed spabath which wasn't in our room. Not a huge problem. Understand the need for limiting g spa pool times but.. would have been nice

Loved the location, far enough out of the CBD to be budget friendly but close enough to go enjoy the restaurants or do some retail therapy. Staff were friendly and check in was quick. The room was clean and warm.

Not a criticism, because this is a budget friendly motel but the room decor is a little dated. Other than that we had a great stay.
