It's about a 5min drive from the town centre, very convenient location and good reception staff. The lake view from the room is awesome, and when it's clear you can enjoy watching the sunset from your room. The bed is large and comfy, I had an issue with the bathroom door which was quickly resolved by the reception staff (and plus free dinner as a remedy). Amazing staying experience and keep it up!

Lovely views of the lake from our room

We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and were delighted when we arrived to find not only chocolates and a note from the staff but also followed by some complimentary cakes bought up to our room. Such a lovely little touch that made us feel super special. The hotel's location is awesome, right on the lake front. The rooms are great but just starting to feel a little dated, maybe a room by room spruce up could help. As it stands up to $400 a night is starting to feel a little much given the quality of the competition. We booked use of the spa but wandered down to find no changing rooms nearby which was a little odd. But with all that said, a great hotel, superb staff and views to die for.

Starting to feel a little expensive compared to nearby competition. Rooms need an upgrade to warrant the nightly charge during peak season.

The room was super clean. Spacious. All facilities which we needed. And loved being on the ground floor on the lake so our daughter could run free !! Most comfortable beds I have slept in at a resort. Wow. The man at our breakfast service. I'm sorry did not catch his name. Sunday 28th August at 9am, was so kind. Happy and very attentative. Hard to find these people in current times. Very nice to start our day. Breakfast Benedict was delicious.

Downside of being on the ground floor was loud stomping from guests above. But that's out of the hotels control. And I guess another thing to consider is the location is stunning, but far from the town centre.

The Junior Suite was amazing - but we did ask my son and 2 little children over to watch TV and have a swim (they live in Taupo) to give them a treat and have a light dinner together I loved the hotpool, and the swimming pool, the lounge staff were so friendly and mulled wine incedible recipe, very enjoyable.

- but only 2 teaspons in the room - no knife to cut some cheese for crackers and have a drink together. For the price of the room $349.00 I would expect to have some cutlery in the cupboard. We all booked for breakfast in the dining room - the food and service was incredible - but it took 30 minutes to cook our breakfast, and with 2 little kids - that is too long to wait for food

Love staying here for the views of the lake, really enjoy watching the sun set. Also like the heated pool and grotto. Stayed in the king lake view room which was spacious and had all the comforts.

Fire alarm went off one evening (second time this has happened to us and the first time we had our room robbed so were a bit nervous about leaving the room - made sure ranch slider was locked this time!) and also kitchen was shut second night and morning so a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to a delicious dinner and breakfast the next morning. A bit hungry by the time we left.

Top views and location. Walked out door and you're right on edge of Lake. The pool was great nice temp. You just didn't want to get out as that's when you got cold. Exceptional staff, got upgraded very quickly (totally surprised they did this) during stay after couple of issues with original rm. After not being able to resolve 2nd issue, they just upgraded. Both rooms were stunning and the upgraded one with lounge just blew my mind.

There was nothing not to like except the unexpected 30 plus dollars room service fee. They must charge by value of order rather than flat room service charge.

Loved our room, it was very generous in size and storage options. The pool and grotto was fabulous. I went swimming multiple times a day to unwind. The inroom spa bath was great too. We were even greeted by a friendly duck.

Lots of noise from above and from the stairwell. People above us were really loud and were beginning to have a party at 11.30 stopped when another guest asked them to be quiet. Room did get alot of road noise which we aren't used to hearing.

Staff were absolutely fantastic, room was beautifully warm with a stunning view. Grotto pool was the coolest thing ever, pics do not do it justice!!!booking is a must so enquire asap. Pool was deliciously warm. Food was gorgeous view whilst eating was amazing and the girl who made my coffee made it perfeeeeeectly 😍😍😍😍appreciate you!!!Filiimina checked us in and was so beautiful great service and wished me a happy birthday(hope that's how you spell your name) lived every minute and will def make it pur regular.

Location of hotel was great right on the Lake front, we had an upstairs room with a balcony so lovely to wake up and look out at the lake. The air conditioning saved the day as it was very hot and humid, we were able to sleep in a comfortable bed with the room temperature just right. Our booking included breakfast, certainly great value for money would definitely recommend.

The hotel is a little tired looking needs a wee bit of a spruce up.
