Hanze Hotel Zwolle

Hanze hotel is located in the city centre within walking distance of the train station as well as all shops, restaurants and bars etc. Check in was ok - the room was nice and clean. Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.

There was an problem with the internet/wifi etc which was not the hotel's fault as it was a network issue but the staff tried thir best to deal with it. Thanks Joey (hope your broken arm is healing ok)

We stayed on the 3rd floor and generally the 'noise' from the bar below is manageable and not as bad as we expected. Reception is at the breakfast counter (lvl 2), and we approached the bar counter when reception was empty. They are quick to help us with our check-in process. Located in the city center was convenient as well, maybe 15-20 minutes walk from nearest station. Breakfast was simple and great (croissants/bread/ham/cheese/yoghurt/milk/orange juice/spreads/boiled eggs)

Room was a little smaller than expected as we had 2 checked-in bags. Steps of the stairs are a little narrow and steep, just have to be careful when handling luggage.

Check-in is all contactless by phone, but it worked. In the middle of town. Breakfast was great.

If you have limited data connection on your foreign phone, then checking in and getting the key could be a problem. Being above bar/ restaurant could give noice issues as there is no air-conditioning you have to sleep with window open.

Location: great proximity to restaurants Room: absolutely charming (although, because I booked at the last minute, the only room available had a queen bed AND a single bed, which didn't allow for much space for movement)

NOT YOUR FAULT -- but I'm slightly handicapped, and again, because of the availability of the rooms due to my booking at the last minute, I had to climb 43 STAIRS to get from the ground floor to my room.

We knew of course the hotel was right in the middle of town, but were not prepared for all the noise from the cafes and the market (the next morning). We came by bike and parked our bikes at the free facility next to the hotel, which however only has supervision until 21.30hrs. After 23.00hrs we were allowed to park the bikes inside the hotel. Breakfast came in a box and it was satisfactory. There are many restaurants in the area.

Clear info on bike storage (we assumed there was a 24 hr supervised public bike parking next door, which turned out not to be the case).

Location is perfect, parking right in front. Really clean. Double bed was really comfortable! I was surprised they have only two stars they deserve much more ( found out that's because they do not have elevator).

It was nothing I can point that I didn't like.

Was given a menu to look at and then told that menu wast not available - so didnt think that was very good service

It was in the middle of summer and somewhat hot, and no air-conditioning. The breakfast was 20 euros and poor.

Good location, fast WiFi, comfortable bed.

Can be noisy but if you keep windows close it's fine. Not sure why but I didn't get a full roll of toilet paper or any spare toilet paper.

the location was amazing and the receptionist was super kind. it was hard to get the luggage into the room because it does not have a lift but it was fine
