Rotterdam Marriott Hotel

Breakfast was excellent - buffet (hot and cold) and table service (the Eggs Royale in particular were magnificent). The bed was very comfortable and the air con worked well. Very spacious room for a city centre hotel. The staff made us feel very welcome throughout.

The soundproofing of the room - traffic/tram noise throughout. In addition there was the 'summer carnival' going on throughout the time we were there. Had we known we probably would have come another weekend. The staff explained it well on arrival (e.g. certain road closures, supermarket restrictions in place) but maybe a message on booking might have helped us decide!

(Had only breakfast at the restaurant) Eggs prepared for you as you like with ham, cheese etc. (ordering at breakfast) was great. Rotterdam Central railwaystation is your breakfast view when seated by the window. Breakfast staff was polite and made you feel welcome, they are great. Bar staff on Lobby floor needs to be mentioned too, they are super. The gym is bigger and better than most hotel gyms, so a decent workout can be done. For cardio, treadmill/crosstrainer. Cablemachine for weights. No free weights though, except dumbbells. Life Fitness brand is present.

I leave this empty, since different ppl dislike different things. Overall my visit went smoothly.

Excellent location, just in the opposite of Rotterdam Central Station. And trams & metro stop in central station, too. Delicious breakfast! Staffs are friendly.

The room was clean and spacious, but facilities in the room is a bit dated. I don't like the unmovable shower head. I expected a better room interior with Marriot. With this room condition I think it's a little overpriced. I booked 2 nights, one with breakfast and one without, in booking.com system I had to book them separately into 2 orders. I have inform the hotel about this situation, and the hotel arranged 2 nights in the same room, which was appreciated. But I still had to check out and check in again in the second day, it was inconvenience.

Location of the hotel. Everything was accessible on foot! The parking next doors was at a good price. Personnel was awesome and super friendly! The rooms were spacious and the beds really comfortable. Overall happy with my choice for a 1 night stay.

Bathroom ceiling had some water damage next to the shower. Honestly, was not expecting it. The view from the rooms was also not nice. Some rooms connect with each other (there is a door on both sides). As I asked for rooms as close to each other as possible, I would expect to have the ones next to each other, so we can move freely between rooms, without having to use the hallway.

Loved the comfortable beds, excellent shower and very quiet room. Breakfast was really good both mornings (including Sunday brunch). Despite being very busy, staff were friendly and efficient. The location of this hotel is outstanding for anyone wanting to be a convenient walk from the Centrum area (about 15 minutes max) and Centraal train station (literally steps across the plaza). It made our transit to and from Schipol a breeze. No need for a car.

My own suggestion would be to please provide a coffee maker in the room! And, if not, could you please provide more than one caffeinated coffee sachet per guest? Given how good the rest of the amenities were, this sounded a discordant note.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Right across from the train station. Everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. All the staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the first night we were there (we had reserved two rooms) there was a problem with the fan in our rooms, yet the staff immediately suggested a change of the rooms. We were given an upgrade to the junior suites which were even more spacious and comfortable than our initial rooms. The following day the staff made an extra effort to make sure that we were happy with our stay. We appreciated a hand written note from the front desk office manager with their sincere apologies which was beyond from what we would have expected. It made us feel valued and appreciated as customers. In addition, late check out was available at no extra charge. The bar in the lobby was very nice and the food was delicious. We would definitely stay in this hotel again!

Besides the unfortunate situation with the room fan, which was readily taken care of as described above, we liked everything.

The location of the hotel and the size of my room were exceptional. I didn't close the curtains because I wanted the light to flow inside from the enormous windows. There was a desk but also a lounge space, and the room looked more like a suite than a simple room. The location just opposite the central station is very practical. I also approciated the free drinking facility (a jar with water and slices of citrus + glasses) given the high temperature outside, the vending machine for drinks and snacks and the meals prepared by the bar (the restaurant was closed for the holidays).

The mattresses were comfortable, but the beds were placed far from the bedside tables and endowed with wheels, so they used to move across the room. The bathroom was very large, the shower and tub were separate, but they didn't have hand-held showerheads, so they were quite uncomfortable for people with mobility issues.

An excellent property with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The view of the Rotterdam Centraal Station from our room was good.

The housekeeping services were below standard. Twice in a stay of four days we found our room not turned out even late in the afternoon despite informing the reception before leaving. We had to remind them again and had to wait in the lobby while they turned out the room. Housekeeping needs improvement.

The location was perfect, right at the central station. The breakfast was really good, many options to choose from and very supportive staff. Hotel was very clean.

The room was nothing special and many things were kept very simple, toiletries were limited. If you pay such a huge amount of money, I would have expected more service and comfort. But obviously people are coming anyhow, so a good relation between money spent and service delivered, is not necessary for them.

This is one of the most fabulous hotels i've ever stayed at. Beautiful exterior and interior. Right opposite the Central Station and bus station which runs buses direct to The Hague Rotterdam airport. I was on level 12 and the view was stunning capturing the sunny days and beautiful sunsets. Very clean in a great location central to all. I usually walk everywhere when I go away, so was ideal for me. Breakfast had a selection of cooked and continental foods, or something prepared off the breakfast menu. Was great. Reception staff very friendly and advised some great tourist attractions from the map they gave me. Would 100% stay here again.

I truly could not find any fault with the hotel. Was one of my most favourite holidays.
