Value for money, quirkier than your corporate type generic hotel. Nice character. Decent breakfast. Very comfy room.. Excellent facilities. Decent shower. Lovely staff. Couldn't want for anything else.

There was a small error with an early check in and a mix up between staff meaning we almost checked into a room already occupied. We really didn't mind, because we were super early and it was a bonus to be able to check in at that time. The staff got a little stressed at each other over how they did things differently which was a bit uncomfortable. However, it soon blew over. I felt bad for both of them because they were so lovely and just trying to accommodate us. I wanted to reassure them that it was all OK.

This hotel was the highlight of our vacation and our best night’s sleep. It blended modern comfort with the historic and authentic charm of Amsterdam. It felt as if we were sleeping in the heart of the city yet still quiet enough for a fantastic rest at night. The breakfast was warm and nourishing: eggs, danish, pancakes, strong coffee, juice.

We wish there was hair conditioner - just ensure to bring your own!

Lovely team at reception. Helpful, pleasant, patient. Beautiful rooms!! I was in Room 3 which is gorgeous. Comfortable, too. Room doors closely quietly which is rare in hotels nowadays, so nice. Great shower- good water pressure and fast hot water. Near trams, ferries, and shopping. Also a nice lobby in which to rest.

This is why it’s a 9 and not a 10. Should be more clean. All the drawers had thick layers of dust (as did the top of the fridge) and there was a peanut in one of the drawers! Otherwise, clean

The hotel's location near the central train station is great. The staff that we talked to were all very helpful. This was one of the few historic hotels that we stayed in who had an elevator. A very nice coffee machine in the lobby was available to us at no additional cost 24/7, which was very handy with our schedule! Our room was very quiet and more than adequate for our needs.

In a historic hotel, you need to be ready for some surprises. Our room (44) had a traditional tub shower that sat up higher than normal off the floor. We used extra caution getting out due to the extra distance to the floor. The bed was a little lumpy and not particularly comfortable and the historic room beams (lower than head height) were a bit of a hazard for my husband after we had turned out the lights. Great location, helpful staff and an elevator more than made up for these features that come with an older building!

Not sure if the location can be better than this place, it's smack dab in the middle of all point of interests in Amsterdam. We mostly walk everywhere, and when we had to take a tram, it's just next door. The hotel is only 5-10 mins walking distance from the train station too. Super convenient. The hotel and room were amazing. Not sure how old the place is, but it's beautiful, with all these old paintings on the wall. The room has this really cool black and white tiles, the beds were comfy, super spacious, very clean. The bathroom shower is of good size and has great water pressure.

Great breakfast, plenty of variety - especially thankful for the freshly made gluten-free bread provided daily. Staff were very helpful in going out of their way to suggest and pinpoint places on the map that were relevant to my research, and directions how to get there. Also really loved my room - it was very comfortable and elegant, beyond expectations for a three-star hotel. The Lavazza coffèemaker in the room was also great.

The room felt a bit cold until I had someone come to the room to show me how to work the thermometer.

We booked three rooms, for a family of eight. Even though we came from three different regions at different arrival times; everything went smoothly and was perfect: clean rooms, all beds ready (also the ones added to the rooms). Breakfast was small but nice, you could sit nicely in the evening and grap a cup of tea for free. I absolutely liked in, and thought the price was really in line with what you got!

There is a bit of noice in the streets in the evening, so you can not really open the windows. And some of the rooms were a bit smaller, so you would not sit inside the room longtime...

Location a little bit in the more busy section of town. Also very near red-light district and our friends from the Netherlands did not like the area. However, we found it seemingly safe for our family, with amazing / friendly staff, very nice lounge area, great breakfasts and outstanding location. I would stay there again with my family. (12 year old son + my partner)

Again I liked the area, but my friends from the Netherlands were not so approving. Personally, being close to everything for me was fantastic and fit our needs.

Great location, incredible water pressure in the shower, most comfortable hotel bed in Europe, stellar service, good (and free) wifi, and excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was quite spacious and the room's minibar was complimentary (2 waters, 1 coke, 1 Fanta, and a KitKat). Enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again!!

The breakfast could've been a bit better for people with food allergies or sensitivities, but they had all of the basics (great coffee machine, croissants, some cut fruit, bacon, etc.). Additionally, the rooms are very small - not a lot of room if you have large luggage.

Staying in the heart of Amsterdam is incredibly convenient. The hotel is just a stone's throw away from Central Station, making it perfect for exploring the city's iconic attractions. The complimentary breakfast offers an excellent selection of both European and American options. The staff is exceptionally helpful and genuinely takes pride in their work, which enhances the overall experience. Our triple room was spacious, and the large bathroom added to our comfort. I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again!
