Baja Club Hotel, La Paz, Baja California Sur, a Member of Design Hotels

Location is fantastic; on the Malecon (main drag) and looking out over the Sea of Cortez. If I had the budget, it would be worth the extra cost for a room with a view. Seems like most of the rooms had small balcony/patio. Roof top bar is perfect for watching the sunset. Definitely a property frequented by locals. Not all staff speak English. Pool is beautiful. The breakfast included with the room had plenty of fresh fruit, fresh muffin, freshly squeezed juice and yogurt.

They do not allow any visitors other than paying guests. My son and grandchildren were asked to leave. Also, the room was odd in that the toilet was located on the opposite side of the room from the main bath so it was inconvenient to wash hands

I read about this place at Designhotels.com .. really wanted to stay there. Luckily, my wish came true. Really beautiful hotel. It’s only been open for a year but they seem to have their stuff together! Everything was perfect. The pool is maybe the most beautiful set-up of pool I’ve seen; reminded me of Italy :) stunning property. Fine-dining-like breakfast. Very kind staff. I totally recommend! Place really reminds me of Soho House (for the ones who are familiar with it) same vibe, and very similar interior

The prices in the minibar are just crazy. Been to many hotels in my life and I know how it is but those prices were beyond ridiculous

I think it was overpriced for what it was and the staff was not very accommodating. at some point, I asked if I could have breakfast at one of the tables in an empty section right next to the bar on the hotel patio and they said no they could easily have been flexible. Still, the poorly trained supervisor said no and didn't professionally manage the request. They all seemed rookies at their jobs and although the facilties were nice the staff fell short.

Great service by the staff. They spoke perect English and no worry for communication. One thinkg impressive was that when I was out seeing around the city, the staff closed the curtain to prevent the room to get hot, and even they prepared the water and ice cube when I got back. The roof top bar was also suprisingly good, with good Cocktails and good view.

The day I visited was independence day, and there were palade outside, so not easy to get transportation. This is nothing to do with thier serveice but just for information.

The hotel amenities and rooms are beautifully designed and well thought out. It is located centrally on the waterfront and is close to all the bars and restaurants. The rooftop bar serves great cocktails and beers and has a stunning view of the water . The restaurant food was great along with the chic decor. The room was spacious, well designed and very clean and quiet ( double glazed), with a generous balcony to lounge on. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful

Beautiful brand new property with excellent location in front of the malecon boardwalk. the rooms are small but nicely appointed and comfortable.

The ground floor patio rooms are exposed to the hotel courtyard making it impossible to sleep with the doors open at night. They should consider securing the patios to offer privacy. The staff is still being trained in this new hotel. The staff is friendly but restaurant service needed serious improvement.

Fabulous staff! The included breakfast was a lovely continental one. The whole facility was immaculate and beautifully designed. Other positives: nice decks off the rooms; wonderful roof bar with views of the sea; polite, well-trained, gracious staff; lovely outdoor and indoor dining spaces with food that rivaled (certainly the ambience was much nicer than most) any of the top-rated restaurants in the area; the location on the Malecon was great.

The minor drawbacks included: the toilet was totally separate from the rest of the bathroom, so one had to walk around the bed to the sink to wash hands; The comforter on the bed was way too warm and they didn’t seem to have a lighter blanket; the standard rooms were rather small.

Baja Club is a beautiful luxury hotel in central La Paz right on the Malecon (boardwalk). We had a patio room that was so private, quiet and lovely. The breakfast was excellent. We had fun sunset drinks and snacks at the rooftop bar. The hotel has inspiring design and interiors, and the staff was friendly and kind.

This is a stylish, new property in the best part of La Paz. Everything works well, food is great and the vibe is awesome. The staff is amazing and very helpful.

For a luxury hotel, we didn't have a turndown service, we weren't advised to make reservations for the rooftop (and hence almost denied service) and the front desk staff didn't even mention a fantastic inhouse greek chef that oversees the dinner menu. On hygiene, We found iguanas near the pool area and, unluckily, they left droppings very close to the water. Finally, the pool area is great, but getting drinks service isn't easy as the bar is unstaffed.

Excellent service and attention to details from all staff members. Modern and clean architecture (rooms are brand new) combined with a colonial house (bar, front-desk, restaurant) which makes the ambiance chick and classic, perfect! The hotel is in front of the boardwalk and the roof-top bar has an incredible view. Alejandro and Mariana were super helpful to us with top destination in La Paz and surrounding areas. Very knowledgeable in all related to restaurants and local food as well . There is a garage next door and the staff is always ready to valet-park your car. Only had a chance for breakfast one morning and the enfrilojadas were delicious. There is an OXO store one block away to buy water, ice and get ready for your day at the beach.

Best hotel in the area so price point is a bit high if you are on a budget. The location, the ambiance and service are top. You are close to most things to see in old downtown La Paz.
