Hotel is in a perfect spot directly on one of the arms of St. Julian Bay giving a nice view of the entire bay from a balcony room. Many restaurants and bars all around the hotel to choose from. Staff is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our balcony room was very nice with a comfortable bed, effective AC and a spacious shower. The rooftop bar at night is absolutely ideal. Watching the moon rise over the bay with some drinks was a highlight of our trip.

Unfortunately the hotel is sandwiched between a McDonalds and a dive bar which results in the entire area in front of the hotel being infested with screaming kids, teenagers and drunk tourists. Entering and exiting the hotel is like running a gauntlet of madness every time. The parking garage has 6 spots in it and on multiple occasions our vehicle was blocked in by service vehicles just parking in the middle of the garage. The lobby area and elevator entrance are extremely cramped. While trying to check in or speak to someone at the small lobby desk you are subject to people trying to squeeze by to get to and from the elevator which makes for an uncomfortable situation.

For the price, I expected a bit of a nicer room with a view and amenities.

Great location. Spinola Bay is really nice, it is not too close to St Julians hustle and bustle. Balutta Bay the next bay is a nice walk. Excellent massage in the hotel spa. Best ever.

Very spacious room with balcony and a beautiful view. Wonderful soundproof windows, which came in very handy as there were protests in Malta during our vacation. Very friendly staff who was always ready to help. Delicious breakfast, which for a small charge could be ordered to the room. Highly recommend Zest Restoran tasting menu.

The ventilation in the bathroom did not work well. The shower was very humid 24/7 and it was impossible to get rid of the moisture. Even the toilet paper was slightly moist. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower.

It is very clean and modern. It has an amazing view over Spinola bay (suite with see view). Super close to everything you need. The roof top is incredible and has an amazing view with bar and pool. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The food is exceptional and the prices are acceptable because it’s very worth it. The hotel’s restaurant Zest is a must visit! Exceptional food and easily the best sushi I have eaten. Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. 5* 😎 The spa is amazing with a lovely staff. We had a lovely couples massage. After that we were served amazing sushi with a glass of Prosecco in an amazing atmosphere.

The housekeeping was great and they cleaned the room everyday, replenishing everything that was needed. A small complain is that the room was supposed to be sound proof, which was not 100%. You could hear almost everyday the furniture being dragged in the room above. A few mornings we were awakened by the HK staff cleaning the adjacent rooms which made a lot of noise, (hitting the wall with the vacuum and making noise in the corridor), which was a little annoying when the “do not disturbe” sign is clearly hanging on the door. The waiters in the hotel cafe are a little bit inexperienced when it comes to beverages and the service was sometimes very slow, including mistakes in orders and forgetting to serve the items ordered.

The location was fantastic (despite the very noisy 3 day St Julian's Fiesta!). We paid for an upgrade so we could have a view of the bay and the room we moved to was perfect. We sat on the very secluded balcony and watched the festivities. The staff were gorgeous, breakfast excellent (freshly squeezed orange juice and perfect coffees to order). The swimming pool on the terrace was just the icing on the cake. Such a bonus for a small hotel. Hotel Juliana really does an awful lot absolutely right. The staff seem very happy to work there. We loved talking to many of the staff and must mention (but not exclusively): Manwel (almost cried to say goodbye to him), Emilio, Mar, Santiago (both of them), John. They all made our stay extremely special and we really hope we will go back again soon.

The reception staff were very friendly, especially, Alfred. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of quality items to suit all nationalities and tastes. The public areas downstairs are stylish and comfortable. The room was exactly as expected from the website. It was clean, and well presented and maintained. The gym was fairly small but very well presented with some good equipment. The best feature of all was the rooftop pool. The temperature of the water was perfect and it was not crowded. The views over the bay are impressive. At night, the area it is used as a cocktail bar from 8pm and bar tables next to the glass balustrade can be reserved. Perfect!

My friend and I ordered a twin room and unfortunately there was no twin room available with any kind of view. I don't mean there wasn't a sea view, I mean not even a city view or a side view. Just blank walls. Regrettably, this was not the only room like this. I was and still am really taken aback by that - it is not like this hotel is inexpensive.
