We loved the hotel, our room with sea view, the beach, St Brelade Bay and village - the hotel has the perfect location right on the beach. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants in the bay with excellent food including lots of gluten free options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was great to have a carton of fresh Jersey milk in the fridge to make our own tea and coffee. A good selection of tea bags, coffee and hot chocolate... We enjoyed the complimentary sun lounger on the beach and using the indoor pool and spa facilities when the weather was not so good.

I did not like the fact that we were given fresh towels every day, nor was there the option to reuse towels. We always hang our towels and bath mat up neatly and consider it environmental vandalism to have fresh towels daily.... At home we use our towels for a week and are happy to do the same on holiday.

Room was comfortable size - great bathroom - bath and shower. The location is perfect - right on the beach, near restaurants and little shop (for Jersey icecreams). Great having a little fridge in room - with fresh milk and waters. Superb choice of teas, coffees and hot chocolate provided each day. Bus right outside of the hotel to get into St Helier if did not want to take the car.

The tiles in the pool area are incredibly slippy. Would be good to provide flip-flops. The shampoo and shower gel in the showers at the pool were in tatty plastic bottles - yet the hand wash was Elemis - seemed a strange clash.

Great location in St Brelade, with beautiful view of the bay - IF YOU BOOK THE SEA VIEW ROOM AT A PREMIUM. BEWARE - some east wing sea view rooms are on ground floor overlooking drinks terrace. Book with the hotel rather than Booking.com as you cannot tell from their website if the room is ground floor inferior room.

Booked 'the last sea view room available', which turned out to be a disabled facility room on ground floor with small sliding door and adjacent to noisy drinks terrace! Book direct with the hotel for these rooms - prices are the same.

We loved our stay so much last year that we decided to go back. We had another wonderful few days and everything was of the same high standard as it had been. Staff are very accommodating and make sure you have the perfect stay. We went on lovely clifftop/beach walks, all easily accessible from the hotel. The spa facilities are great and usually not too many people using them except one evening when the pool was used for an aqua aerobics session.

The only minor disappointment was the change in options on the room service menu. Last time there was a really yummy veggie salad made with fake chicken but nothing like it on offer this year apart from a veggie burger :-(

Everything from location to comfort

My daughters 18th birthday breakfast was spoilt Last morning here as Unfortunately there was a private function night before therefore when asked if her grand mother could be added on to join us at breakfast the receptionist refused because of the function, I find it hard to believe one more person couldn’t of been accommodated for so this left a rather bitter ending to what would of been a perfect 18th birthday celebration weekend

Breakfast is outstanding at L’Horizon. Lots of great choices and an outstanding range of cooked breakfasts, including fish. The room was excellent- a junior suite with two separate balconies. A really comfortable bed and a seperate lounge. The bathroom was spacious.

The decor in the room is a bit worn in places which is not compatible with the price. The panel under the bath needs attention and there was a piece of wooden facing missing on the dressing table. These are small but irritating things that need sorting.

The hotel in st Brelades bay way perfect, location could not have been better. We had a sea view with exceptional viewing of the sea front, the hotel was beautifully presented, room was beautiful and spacious, with everything we needed for our stay, breakfast was a varied breakfast with a choice of cereals, fruit and cooked items. The staff were always helpful and accommodating with a smile on their face, nothing was too much effort. Lovely little touches when the bed was turned down for the evening, bottled water was placed by the bed and a little chocolate placed on the pillows. Everywhere was clean and lots of lovely touches. We will be returning next year as it was such a beautiful place to get away.

Nothing at all

Everything. It was amazing. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was delicious, the spa facilities were beautiful, the beach was incredible, the views spectacular, the bed was comfy, the staff came in twice a day to clean and put a chocolate jersey cow on your pillow every night. It was just lovely. I feel so thankful to have found this beautiful hotel.

The price, but it was worth it. There was nothing I didn’t like. We were mid-August and no where was over busy.

The staff were exceptional whatever their role. It made the holiday. Always there when you needed anything and so efficient. I had a balcony room on the first floor for a week. It was so comfortable. Fridge with water and milk each day, a safe and air con. Everything at hand that you needed. The view was lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the cleanliness outstanding. The breakfast choice was really good with a buffet of English Breakfast plus cereal etc etc. plus an option for something different on the menu if wanted and included in the price. The service was brilliant everywhere in the hotel. There was ample parking, some in front of the hotel and a hotel overflow car park across the road so never any trouble parking. The indoor pool looked inviting but I didn’t try that or the spa facilities etc. I would definitely stay again.

Superb choice for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. I particularly liked the spa facilities and lovely helpful staff. It was wonderful to have a dip in the indoor pool, jacuzzi, followed by time in the steam, and sauna room before finally heading for an exhilarating dip in the beautiful bay, only a short walk from the spa.

Unfortunately a fire alarm went off in the early hours of my final morning - it was very dIsprientating and scary and I didn't find out until I asked the next day what had happened. It would have been good to have had some reassurance at some point - that said, it was good to know the alarm serves it purpose!
