Hotel Corte dei Greci

The welcome received on checking in was warm and genuine. Everything was easy and the lady explained everything clearly and efficiently to a clearly tired guest. The breakfast was the best I have had during this trip to Italy. It was simple but plentiful and of excellent quality. The staff at breakfast were excellent too. When I'm back in Venice, I will be back, I will have no hesitation staying here again. The location is excellent for a base from which to explore. The man who brought me to my room explained about the history of the building and the decor which was a nice touch. My room was very comfortable, clean and large with a really good view as far as things go in Venice. I can highly recommend this hotel and it's excellent staff.

There was nothing I didn't like and have no cause for complaint.

We loved the location, a short walk to San Marco piazza but in a lovely area with restaurants and quiet streets. We booked a family room, 2 adults 2 kids and it was big enough for us to not feel squashed a great base for our 5 day stay in Venice.

Our room (103) was adjacent to a small communal sitting area, we were woken every night by different guests using it VERY late at night, given reception is 24hrs it would be great for this to be managed better.

This hotel is located in a beautiful courtyard in Venice, surprisingly quiet given its proximity to St Marks Square. The hotel is traditionally decorated. The staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful with every aspect of our stay. The room was tidy and clean and maintained to a good standard. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of foods and a lovely view over the canal. There is a good selection of restaurants and cafes nearby. The view from our room was lovely in the mornings overlooking the canal and really added to our enjoyment of Venice. We would return here if we visit Venice again, and recommend to friends and family.

Our room was a bit on the smaller side and the bed was quite short - my partner who is tall could have done with a bit more space, as his legs were sticking off the end of the bed. Some minor things could be updated such as the coffee machine at breakfast which required you to press it about 20 times to get one mug of coffee.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They organised flowers for my wife and gave great travel advice to get from the airport. The room was comfortable , dark and quiet. Everything we need from a room. The hotel is a very traditional Venetian building and in a fantastic location, minutes away from the famous attractions but close to quieter area for a more tranquil eating and drinking experience. Highly recommended.

I really can’t think of a negative. If you want somewhere more modern or more opulent and luxurious there are plenty of choices. For a traditional Venetian romantic weekend it’s perfect.

The location is central. A very short distance from San Marco. The room is extremely spacious and comfortable for four people. Also nicely decorated. Room temperature is fine, even a little too much :) The double bed is very comfortable. One of the single beds is a little small and there is a broken part under the bed. The bathroom is very large and clean. There is a kettle, tea, and coffee in the room. There is also a terrace with furniture. The gentleman at the reception was very attentive and friendly.

Breakfast is ordered the previous day and served to the table the next morning. It could have been a buffet. The breakfast of another hotel I stayed at in the same price range in Venice was much better. But it is ok.

The breakfast was delicious and very thorough. The bed was really large and they brought extra pillows for me on request. The room wasn’t huge but certainly large enough for the baby bed and to still be able to walk around. The location was fantastic. There were common areas for us to socialize with the other members of our group so we didn’t have to Hang out in the rooms. The rooms were also surprisingly quiet for being in a busy area of Venice.

The elevator was only for baggage and wasn’t available for us to use. This was fine but something to keep in mind if you can’t climb stairs. They allowed us to store our stroller in the lobby so we didn’t need an elevator anyways.

The property was clean and in a fabulous location; very close to St Marks Square. Our room (for 2 adults and 2 children) was adequately sized. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. I travelled with my elderly mother and two children aged 8 and 7. The hotel accommodated us very well.

My only disappointment was booking a water taxi to train station. I tried to book it the night before our departure, but was told not to worry and get it in the morning. We did this and there was none available when we needed one. We had a stressful ride on the valparetto instead wondering if we would make our train in time.

Super great location and safe area to stay In front of a small canal & easy access by walking left and right to major attraction restaurants very convenient room very Vanetian look and beautiful Very close to San Zaccaria water bus station

Lift was lousy ...it only goes up to 1st floor, if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you hv to carry the luggages down the stairs which was very difficult. Room size was pretty small especially if you are travelling from far and hv many luggages. These are the only set back for this hotel.

Just a few minutes walk from San Marco Plaza and Doge's Palace. Nice balcony attached to our room. Friendly staff. We didn't end up having breakfast but the selection seemed good and they have a nice room on the first floor where they serve it

Bathroom window was left cracked open behind a curtain. Mosquitos were getting in and biting us and we couldn't figure out why for the longest time. Takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport by water bus. There's a preschool (or something) nearby. You will wake up to school noises when school is in session

The location was very convenient to the historical centre as well as the Alilaguna/Vaporetto stop (3 min walk). To head to the islands, the stop was slightly further but walkable (15 mins). The breakfast was well organised. The room was great, decorated in Venetian style. The service was fantastic, whether at reception (very late check-out, luggage storage, facilities) or at breakfast. This was a lovely stay, thank you!

The bed was a bit hard and we requested additional pillows. We had a room with view on the canal, which could get a bit noisy in the morning.
