Hotel Della Torre

Nice clean room. Good breakfast buffet. If you want to have a seat outside, make sure to either come in early or rather late. Peak time breakfast you might have to sit inside. Especially when hotel is booked out, or in weekends.

Lovely hotel with very pleasant staff. Good breakfast and pool. Very close to boats to visit the islands. Beautiful 15 to 20 mins walk by the promenade into the main town of Stresa. If you like peace and quiet this is the perfect place to be. We had a lake view room so worth it as each room has a balcony with table and chairs

We could only find one restaurant near the hotel which was very good and on the lake. But as we like to eat out it meant walking to Stresa and back most evenings Taxi costs about €10 .

The hotel was lovely and the staff were excellent. Especially the staff who waited on the breakfast buffet, always happy and smiling. There was always plenty of food, and as soon as anything was empty, it was replaced. The hotel was spotless and comfortable. It is very well located, a lovely 30 min walk from the hotel to the restaurants and bars in Stressa. Only five minutes to the ferry terminal and ten to the train station. The pool was lovely and really clean. We had a fabulous holiday.

Our room had a chair and dressing table at the end of the bed that was a bit of a squeeze.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations given its rating. Yes - the rooms are a little tired but the positives far outweigh this. Great location, spotlessly clean, lovely pool area, great breakfast with lots of options (catering to different preferences/ intolerances), extremely friendly and helpful staff. The staff make the hotel and provide a 5 star customer service. Communication from booking to arrival was quick and efficient. A problem I had with booking a taxi to catch my early morning flight was resolved smoothly. On several occasions staff members went out of their way to improve our stay. We stayed in a room with lake views. There was some rumbling from the Trainline (which didn’t bother us at all) and a bit of noise from the road at the front. However this is to be expected given the convenience of the location which is near the train station (giving easy access to Milan) and on the road leading into the centre of Stresa (a short stroll away). My advice would be to pack some earplugs. I would definitely recommend the Hotel delle Torre for a comfortable, relaxing holiday :)

The air conditioning did work to an ok temperature but could have been cooler

The hotel is an old style, family run property located an easy walk from the railway station and just minutes from the ferry to the islands. we had a large room with a balcony and nice lake and mountain views (possibly an upgrade because we only asked for a standard room). it was quite noisy though near the intersection. Included breakfast was good and the 3 young wait staff delightful.

Only one power point (in the bathroom) for charging phones. Pillows need replacing. A room kettle would be useful.

Excellent location to explore Lago Maggiore. The staff were exceptional. From the wonderful young lady on reception who organised everything for us to the amazing staff in the restaurant. Breakfast was very lovely with a lot of choice foods.

magnificient view on the lake and islands, nice swimming pool

Short opening hours of the swimming pool. After spending whole day sightseeing, it would be nice to have still the opportunity to take a swimm.

This was a last minute booking and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast and the dinner were exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was superb. One simply has to walk down the street towards the lake in order to take a ferry to the various islands. We had a room with a balcony looking towards Lake Maggiore and the view was wonderful. The pool is absolutely gorgeous! We did not use it but if we had stayed longer we definitely would have.

I wish the Frenh doors had blackout curtains instead of just the sheers because the room was always very bright which is hard when trying to sleep. And I wish the air-conditioning was much cooler. With it on you cannot even feel the cool air. The hotel tried to accommodate us and supplied a fan which helped me to be able to sleep.

We liked just about everything. The hotel is a couple blocks from the lake and the ferries to the Borromean Islands which was perfect. We had a room with a lake view, on the 3rd floor, with a small balcony. Perfect, beautiful view. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Downtown Stresa is about approx. a 25 minute walk along the lake. The pool area was very welcoming and enjoyable.

I personally thought the pillows were a little hard and the rooms not particularly sound-proof, but not bad and the air conditioning made a huge difference.

Great location about 20 mins stroll along the lakeside into town. Loved the pool and poolside bar. Lovely staff, very helpful, no request was too much. Will definitely come back, and will recommend it to friends.

Beds could have been a bit softer, but that's just my preference.
