Hotel Villa Cappugi

My main comment is that everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are just lovely - so friendly and helpful! Breakfast - Buffet Style - more than adequate for our needs. Nice choice, pastries that were freshly made, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, tea, coffee, juice - the usual things but nicely laid out and fresh. You can request additional things (including non-machine coffee) and staff will make it for you. Pool is clean and pleasant and big enough - although the day passes the hotel sells to local folk mean that it can get busy at weekends. Poolside snacks and drinks were nice. I would have preferred if it was open for longer, particularly first thing in the morning (pool doesn't open until 10am, closes at 7pm).

The menu in the restaurant is the same for the whole season. It's lovely food and quite a wide selection, but if you are basing yourself at the hotel for a week or longer, it's going to get a bit repetitive.

The hotel is situated just outside Pistoia so is quieter than staying in town. The staff were always happy to help when needed, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fabulous , particularly the rainforest shower which was lovely. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection each morning. The pool area was well maintained. The adjoining restaurant was a lovely way to spend the evenings without going into town. The shuttle bus to/from the station is a welcome bonus but make sure you book in advance.

Great room, great restaurant in the garden, swimming pool was good and large. Very nice rooms and very clean. Super service. The personnel is wonderful!

The breakfast room is more les a cantina. Not really a very nice room. The breakfast is good but not wow. Frequently they had problems with having enough supplies. The coffee machine was broken several times etc....

This was paradise! The hotel was classic, the staff more than helpful as they provided advice regarding the area and suggestions regarding what we might like as well as restaurant recommendations. The restaurant was an epicurean delight. Good, service, atmosphere were all sensational. The pool area was beautiful and exceptionally well cared for. Clean and the bar access and service was superior.

Very private location that feels in the country side. We had an issue with the electric car charger and the staff was super accommodating!! The breakfast was large and lots of options, and it was the most comfortable bed we experienced in all of Italy!!

The pool closes at 7 unfortunately, and it is required to wear a shower cap in the pool that they charge you 3 euro for.

Staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We upgraded to a larger room which was a good size and beds comfortable. Pool was clean and lots of space. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience.

Bar and restaurant closed by 10 p.m. We were able to access drinks via the staff but a small bar area for late evening would really improve the hotel. The beds were super comfortable but the pillows were not.

Really nice room, with beautiful view, really comfortable bed. Quite big swimming pool, enough sunbeds. You can order shuttle taxi in advance to go to the city centre and train station. Really good breakfast.

A beach towel would be nice. I also feel that literally anyone from outside can visit the swimming pool, as no one is checking the entrance or room numbers.

Amazing rooms, very big and high standard. The beds were really comfy. Friendly staff, they all speak several languages and are very helpful. The swimming pool is smaller than I thought but enough for a refreshing swim after a day of sightseeing. Good restaurant with good value.

Wearing a hat in a swimming pool is something I hadn’t done since school. I didn’t expect this and didn’t enjoy it… Breakfast is cheap and worth its value but disappointing compared to the rest of the services. Probably due tu Covid measures.

The hotel in itself is very nice, with clean rooms and bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The cleaning was done daily. It has private parking, which is great. The personnel of the hotel is really polite and helpful. The breakfast is average.

You will need a car, if you choose to stay at the hotel, but you probably guessed that from seeing where it is located. The food and service at the hotel restaurant is subpar and I would not recommend it. We had dinner two times here; the first time, we found on the bill some wine we did not order and the second time, they brought the wrong order. The quality of the food was low. The pool closes at 7 p.m., which is unfortunate for guests who come here to visit the area around (by the time you get back from the trip, the pool closes). We have stayed for 3 nights and never got to use it. At the end of the day, the value you get for the price you pay is not very satisfactory. But I guess that is because the prices in the area are high in general.

Very nice location just outside the city, but not far to the center. The whole resort is delightful: huge parking, excellent pool, cute gardens and good sportgrounds. The room was spacious and welcoming, with a very nice balcony

The breakfast is a 5 out of 10, very disapoimting. No vegetables, very poor selection of cheese, no olives so on
