Hotel La Villa Del Mare

WE LOVED THIS PLACE! We were travelling Italy for our honeymoon and stopped here outside the city for final relaxation, and relaxing it was! We booked the apartment for extra space and it was huge, lots of storage and a kitchenette (no oven). Housekeeping was fantastic and cleaned so thoroughly and even tidied up for us, thank-you so much. The location is right on the beach, it’s so quiet due to the road being almost completely pedestrianised and such a contrast to the noisy cities. We slept so well and the bed was comfier than my own at home with fantastic pillows. We had an early flight in and Paula on reception was a dream and had our room ready early and gave us towels to enjoy the beach whilst we waited. The hotel is decorated in a rustic seaside theme and is so relaxing warming, we will definitely be returning!

The shower could do with being updated as the tray filled up with water and drained slowly and water leaked from the shower head. A kettle and some tea would have been lovely.

Beautiful, well-maintained hotel right on Poetto Beach in Caligiari. Spacious rooms, great air conditioning, nice terrace with view of the ocean, and always pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Almost like a home but with all the services of a hotel. Every member of the staff was outstanding and went out of their way with friendly, helpful service always with a smile. Right across the street from the lovely Poetto Beach. The hotel offered beach umbrellas, beach towels. Top notch in all respects. Not luxury exactly but extremely nice and very comfortable - with spacious room and bath. Highly recommend.

We are very happy we could spend part of our holiday at the Hotel La Villa Del Mare. It has a great location at the Poetto beach, restaurants and amazing ice cream are near by. Rooms are as cozy as the hotel itself with orientation to details, design is beautiful - it´s really La Villa del Mare :-). You can borrow an umbrella and towels for the beach here, what can be very useful for many guests. What is more, people here (the staff) were very nice and caring. But I have to say we met only nice people in Cagliari what made our stay here even more special :-) Thank you :)

We stayed in room 1 which was very spacious for 3 people. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing - thank you Paola and Claudia. Poetto is a great part of Cagliari to stay in when it is hot as you are across the road from a good beach and beach club (Emerson). Short, easy bus trip into the main part of the city and the staff bought us the tickets and gave instructions on how to get there.

The breakfast was simple - but this is very European.

We stayed for four nights in the ground floor garden room in the back of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The hotel itself is superbly located right on a pedestrian street on the ocean front. It was perfect for beach access, taking street walks in the evening, and with easy bus service to the centre of Cagliari. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We very much appreciated the reception staff for all their suggestions – Grazie! The breakfast had a good selection and was delicious. Many thanks to the staff for the additional cappuccinos to wake us up in the morning! All in all, we had a great time here. It was an authentic experience, a very different “feel” to the north of the island, which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Parking is an issue, especially on the weekends. We always found a spot, but it was not so easy.... This would not deter us from staying here again!

Our final night of a week in Sardinia and the location of this hotel on the beach was great, all within a short bus trip of Cagliari. The neighbouring restaurant for dinner was very good (fantastic tuna) and the water as crystal clear as everywhere else in Sardinia. Very helpful and friendly staff.

If planning to stay for more than a night (which would be a good idea), worth booking a room with garden or sea view if possible.

Location, nice view from our big balcony. Valentina at the breakfast place was una amore💜.. Good items to choose from. She recommended the restaurant where breakfast was taken and was very good! Grazie m ille Valentina! The man upon our arrival was kind enough to give us a map and info of the area.WEll appreciate and Helped us with luggages. Gazie! Beach across the street.

Problem with hot water.. first night told the man (manager or owner) no hot water for my husband. Had to take cool to cold shower, he told us would call someone to fix the problem the day after.. The day after, the problem wasn't solve therefore I told Francesca...but didnt really know what to answer. We Didn't feel a lot of compassion from owners/ manager. So we had to take our shower a couple hours apart to make sure we both had hot water!!! And that , morning, afternoon or at night. I mean for the price of the room we shouldn't have this problem!! 😕

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming B & B. The host and his staff could not be more helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and the interior decoration fresh and bright. This is a Lido beach resort with an excellent bus service into the town. We will return for sure.

We had difficulty arriving in the dark, especially as the street lights were not lit. We did not realise that we could not park our car in front of the hotel and only at the back of the block . More explanation ahead of time would have helped. However once we had found the hotel the staff helped us with the bags and explained everything.

The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, hotel has small garden with big olivetrees, shadow, outdoor shower with changing dress cabin, what is very convinient,especially qhen u have early check in, but flight is in the late evening, staff provide you with towels to take shower, around were sofas, chairs, tables to sit outside. Beach is just 150m from the room door! Just cross the street, no cars are alowed to drive there, bike and running lines, also good for sport activities.

The beach is a city one,where coming mostly local people from Cagliari and around, on weekend is extremely crowded, other days was quite empty.

The location is perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I could store my bags and have a shower after check out. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay opposite the beach in Poetto and not far from Cagliari. Fun watching people pass by on the Lido - running, cycling, in-line skating and scooters. Emerson beach club across the road. The room was huge and the balcony had deck chairs and a table and chairs.
