Castle Arch Hotel

Location of the hotel is perfect, very close to town center which is 5 mins of walk. Also very close to Trim Castle. If you are planning for a walk around castle and have a good rest then this hotel is perfect. There is a good Indian Resturant close by name Khan's Spice food and ambience is very good. I was there in the hotel for a day and it was well spent. Defentely I would recommend for a couple/family to visit and there are different things to do in and around Trim Castle, Walk along River, Kids Park, Bar & Pubs. Higly Recommended for a couple for having a Personal Time.

Room 101 had a heating/cooling unit out side the window and was extremely loud 7.30 am to 24 hrs.

Great breakfast.

Loud piped music in the bar and restaurant was totally annoying and ruined the ambience. It was hard to have a conversation and a quiet pint or cup of tea was out of the question. The age of the guests was all over 50, but they were playing rap. I asked one girl to turn it down and another turned it up. There's a speaker over every table so there's no escape. It should be turned off completely, no one is listening and the place would be much nicer with out it. For that reason I wouldn't eat or drink there again. It gave me a headache.

We were over to attend a wedding in different location and decided to make a wee break the rooms were nice well serviced during our stay top marks to housekeeping reception staff also very friendly and helpful and also Louise and all the young waitresses who looked after us so well breakfast was always good and we had dinner 3 nights out of our 5 night stay food excellent well done all at castle arch hotel

Only thing that we could pick fault with was the televisions

It was a great value for the money that we paid. The location was just a few blocks from Trim Castle, the lobby and staff were welcoming. The room was a bit outdated, but we didn't mind. It was clean...the price was right. We had to leave before breakfast was served but they provided coffee, cold cereal and some scones for us early. Dinner at the number # rated Indian Restaurant down the street was excellent! Tour at Trim Castle was really interesting, and def worth it!

Our room had a window that looked out into a kind of an unattractive outside area. There was a lot of music heard from a big event when we first checked in late afternoon, but by the time that we went to bed it was over.

They had a single room available on short notice after I had to unexpectedly stay overnight in the area. The shower was awesome; the bed was very comfortable. My Irish Fry breakfast was exceptional, and it was included in the price. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Trim has been on my bucket list. I didn't have enough time to explore the area due to my schedule. I will be back to do that in August, and I plan to stay here again. I was able to borrow a phone charger, too.

Breakfast was good, had a little wait for extras ,ie more milk bowls for cerail table ,juice to be refilled but staff were busy but pleasant ,so I didnt mind the delay .over all very good at breakfast

As a regular visitor to the hotel I was very surprised to see that no maintenance or very much needed paint jobs were not done during the Break of covid ,a lot of badly scuffed walls doors and service areas were in a dire Need if attention. THE main toilets in the hotel really need some attention ,while clean but tatty walls and doors dont give a good impression. Over all cleanliness was fair but some areas let it down

I purchased this for my daughter and her partner. They have a 1 year old and have not had a nights sleep in a long time. I got a call from the hotel saying there was a function on the night they were due to stay and I explained that they needed sleep and to put them as far away from the noise as possible. I got a call from my daughter after they arrived and they had been upgraded to a suite they were thrilled and said everyone was so nice to them they really enjoyed their stay and I have recommended it to my friend and they are going to book their family Christmas get together there now

Nice place for our first night in Ireland. Right off the main road as we came into town, so was easy access. The town is small so everything was within walking distance. Restaurant was OK, we had to hunt down servers whenever we wanted to order or pay. I have no doubt they were short staffed like the rest of the world right now.

The only are to improve would have been the service in the bar/restaurant. It felt weird to have to leave your table and search for a worker to pay your bill. Also, there was no direction as of seating yourself or waiting for staff to be seated and we were ignored by the first few servers who walked past while we standing there waiting to be seated. We were told we needed a breakfast reservation at check-in so we rushed down to make our time slot and the manager looked at us like we were off our rocker when we said we had a reservation. Told us to seat our selves wherever, but then had to flag down a waitress to order.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Breakfast was super good 👌, location was very central and it was very easy to get to different places around Trim. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We're definitely returning back soon.

Breakfast was our highlight and the best in everything. The hotel was very clean and smell good in the lobby. We couldn't find anything that we didn't like.
