The Farnham Arms Hotel

Location could not be better. It is on Main Street so bang in the centre of Cavan. All staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. My room and bathroom were spacious, with a kettle and tea and coffee, a hair dryer and a safe box - all in great working order. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet even though it was in the middle of town. There was also an ironing board and iron outside in the corridor for guests' use which was a great idea. Breakfast was very adequate with a good choice. I had meals in the Carvery and also the bar, both of which were very good value. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I liked everything - there was nothing to complain about.

Great freshly made breakfast 10/10. Great location on the main street, with a car park at the back. We had a triple room with all 3 of us complimenting the beds; a great nights sleep. We didn't have any food or drinks apart from breakfast but the bars/restaurants looked great. All were buzzing. Percy French Cocktail Lounge looked like "the place to be" in town.

The rooms are dated but we expected that. There was nobody attending reception when we were checking in or out.

The staff were fabulous,The lovely young gentlemen with the blond hair doing reception and bar duties on the afternoon shift,Catherine on reception, Jacinta and the other two ladies in the restaurant and the owner herself getting stuck in. What is Not to like.

My sister and I have stayed at the Farnham Arms hotel before and had a really good experience so it was nice to return and find the same hospitality.

The hotel is very central so shopping is really accessible. The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable ( although an extra pillow would have been nice!)

The location was excellent, very central to shops and bars. Rooms were clean. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the waiting staff were lovely. The hotel staff were so welcoming and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Noleen who was so helpful from the moment we checked in and was great craic throughout our stay :)

Be aware that it is on the Main Street and noise can be heard from outside, this wasn’t so much an issue for us as we had brought ear plugs but something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.

Great Stay!! The hotel was brilliant, great value and great experience. Staff were very pleasant and the hotel was in a great location. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting Cavan. Very welcoming place.

The bed... easily down to personal taste, so don't hold against the hotel, but it was too soft for my liking. Still not complaint worthy, and had a great nights sleep.

The staff are so accommodating and so pleasant. Food is amazing and good variety. If your planning on having cocktails 🍸 this is the place to go the barman knows his cocktails. Best cocktails I have ever tasted.

I can't fault this place only thing I can say is I went with my sis so the room we were in had a double and a single bed so it made the room quite small.

Staff in the bar and restaurant were friendly and very helpful. We felt as though they couldn't do enough for us. There was a good choice at breakfast and it was of good standard. Plenty of secure parking around the rear (first come first served basis though).

The coffee at breakfast wasn't great, but that's about the only comment I'd have for improvement.

Great location in County Cavan town. Wonderful staff. Comfortable rooms with a lift for those heavy bag.

I had the room out the front and there was a lot of street noise.

Location was great friendly staff

No music apart from Sunday afternoon and it was in dining area would be more suited in the bar,felt they didnt get the attention they deserved with people talking and eating.
