Erix and Linda were great hosts, very welcoming and caring. We have been the only guests for most of our stay and enjoyed the calmness. The breakfast was very good, we were able to choose from a big variety of options. You can also book tours/message etc. (which we didn't do. The resort is a bit isolated, but very well maintained and beautiful. The driver was very friendly and driving carefully, we can only recommend the pick-up and drop-off. If you don't want to stay in one of the big resort areas, this is the perfect choice. (if possible try to get the beachfront house)

The tides are quite strong and we didn't swim in the sea. Therefore, the sea is not really made for swimming, but the pool is great.

The Kalong Trikora is a charming resort. Clean, neatly decorated and with a bathroom in the open air. It boasts a lush, green and well kept garden and a lovely swimming pool with a view of the sea. There’s a small beach and a long jetty that extends out into the water. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the cuisine is absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed everything from satay, rendang, curry to grilled octopus fresh off the barbecue. Even breakfast was a delight with fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, pandan pancakes and nasi goreng. We had a wonderful time here and can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! Especially those who want to escape mass tourism.

The stay at the Kelong Trikora Resort was absolutely amazing, it couldn't have been any better. The service by the hotel staff exceeded our expectations by far! From timely pick-up to drop-off at the ferry terminal by hotel drivers to individual day trips with various island activities they helped a lot to enjoy our stay as much as possible. Private massage at the beach side, a very cozy restaurant with individual recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a perfectly clean pool were perfect for a relaxing couple of days. The availability and responsiveness of the hotel staff was extraordinary!

We love Kelong Trikora! It's an amazing place, my husband (Indian Singaporean) and I (German) spent 4 days there over Chinese New Year. The team there, especially Linda and Eric, set a new standard to customer service! They are so deeply caring for each guest, it's touching. When it rained they placed an umbrella outside of every villa, so that guest wouldn't get wet on their way to dinner, when we wanted to go on a trip and the hotel driver was unavailable Linda called several taxi companies and in the end offered to drive us with the staff car, even when the fan did not immediately work three people showed up and got it fixed within 10mins. Kelong Trikora is a very quiet resort with a beautiful pool and 10 separate huts. The cuisine is out of this world, even though the menu is a bit limited (focus on Indonesian and Chinese), so many of the dishes were simply the best (can recommend the fish curry, the sotong bakar, the kailan and kangkong and as daily special chicken satay, each main about 180K, veggies 75-90K). It takes about an hour from the ferry terminal Bandar Bintan Telani (Lagoi) and from the resort we went to the blue lakes and sand dunes (1hr drive, absolutely worth it!). We tried the restaurants in the two resorts next to this and got utterly disappointed, food was horrible and the service even worse, so we would next time just stick to the resort kitchen. All the staff is very nice and chitchatty if you're open to it, but not forcing conversations upon anybody. For my husband's birthday I asked them to please help me get a chocolate cake and they got a super cute beautiful cake for me. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're dependant on the hotel's transport (so plan a bit in advance and let them know) and that during low tide the water draws back about 1km, so not really for swimming in the sea, but the pool is amazing and the whole area is covered in nice fluffy green grass, so nice to walk around barefoot.

Unfortunately we had two rainy days as well, then there's not so much you can do apart from getting massages and go for food, next time we would bring bord or card games probably.

The Kelong Trikora Resort is a clean and quiet space with ample privacy for each group of guests. Staff are friendly and operate like a little family. Breakfast spread is simple but tasty and prepared creatively. Love the interior of the room, bathroom, and the well-manicured greens covering the entire property! We also loved taking walks down the cement bridge that connects the resort to the abandoned kelong.

It would be nice to have a few planned activities available for guests as the surrounding area is quite dead.

Staff are friendly and lovely, they try to accommodate requests as much as possible. Rooms simple yet clean and comfortable. Garden well taken care of and beautiful. Overall everything was well maintained, which is important for a simple hotel like this. We enjoyed our stay.

It's a 1h drive from the ferry terminal so a bit far. Great if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful place. But not much in the surroundings including restaurant options so better to be aware of this point. The hotel restaurant could have a bit more wider options.

We stayed at this beautiful and quiet resort for two nights and absolutely loved it. The surroundings are peaceful, with gorgeous views that made our stay so relaxing. The food was delicious — every meal felt fresh and full of flavor. The staff were warm and friendly, always ready with a smile and happy to help. One of the highlights was waking up early to watch the sunrise — truly breathtaking and worth setting the alarm for! If you’re looking for a calm escape with great service, amazing food, and unforgettable views, this resort is a perfect choice.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was very impressed with the hospitality of the staff, especially Linda and Erix. They were very friendly and helpful, and made me feel like I was at home. The hotel is very child-friendly, and my kids loved playing in the pool and on the beach. The staff was always happy to help with anything we needed, and they made sure that we had a great time. The facilities are well-maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. I enjoyed chilling in the room opening the window and feeling gentle sea breeze. I also had the opportunity to go on the firefly tour and the ATV tour, which were both amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. I am already planning my next trip back, and I can't wait to try the snorkeling that Linda recommended.

Almost nothing

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, booking my room around 7 PM for arrival on the same day. Despite the late hour and the fact that I was the only guest in the entire hotel, I was warmly welcomed by Raju, who went out of his way to ensure I felt at home.The room itself exceeded my expectations. It was impeccably clean, and I was particularly impressed by the unique and thoughtful design of the bathroom, which added a touch of elegance to the space. The attention to detail in the room’s decor made it a cozy and inviting retreat after a long day of travel.The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional friendliness and hospitality. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt genuinely cared for, which made my stay even more enjoyable.Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for their guests. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

The room is very clean. Outdoor shower is exceptionally relaxing. I enjoy sunrise just outside my room. View is very calming. Eric and Linda were really exceptional in their service. I am vegetarian and Eric discussed with me on how they can prepare my meals. They custom cooked vegan sambal for me. Their spring rolls are really good too! On the last day, the boss's brother even bought vegetarian food for me, from another town. This is 5 star service without the 5 star price. For those of you who are solo travelers, this is a safe and rejuvenating place to be. This is also a great place for a family gathering or birthday celebration!
