Silver Hotel Budapest City Center

The location was amazing! Near downtown, with access to all the food, drink, and shopping you desire! Only three blocks to public transport! The price was more than reasonable.

The room was small, and very basic (I.e. no coffee maker)

The location is in front of a park in the city center and near the downtown. Breakfast was good and has a better view at the rooftop. I recommend it to add to your booking. The room was clean and the bed sheets were newly washed.

The receptionist in morning duty was not quiet nice. He impatiently was explaining the details of the room as if Im dumb. Its just maybe because he didnt want to speak English. The other day, they just left the trash inside the room after cleaning. About privacy, you need to leave the key to the reception every time you go out. But there is a deposit box inside the room for your valuables.

Breakfast was OK although exactly the same every day. The hot food choice was limited to "hot dog" type sausages and scrambled egg with the cold choce being cold meats and cheese. More than adequate but nothing to get excited about. The room was a good size, with a reasonable bathroom, a free safety box and air conditioning - absolutely nothing to complain about. Outside the room there were tables and chairs, which were useful when we used the microwave next to reception to cook a meal and then eat it outside our room. The hotel is in a good location, one stop on the metro from the Oktagon which is superbly served with restaurants, supermarkets etc. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The simplicity of the hotel. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The room was adequate, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The reception staff were extremely helpful. However, the morning breakfast staff weren't the most cheery of people. I like the style of the hotel and its quirky ambience.

I really didn't like the ashtrays outside the rooms, which people / guests or staff left full and the full ashtray (s) in the outside lobby near the reception. Always full and messy area around it! Happy for anyone to smike. However, it should b a priority to kerp clean and on top of.

We got the ground floor room which has a unique and great design, main bed plus 2 single beds in the upper floor/attic, which is great for families.

The breakfast can be improved, the floor is a bit dusty and the bathroom does not have a floor mattress. There is also a transparent window at the top of the door where you can see inside from outside (although it is a bit high but people can climb). When we pointed this out, the older guy at the reception does not seem to see what the deal is, so we have to use towel to block the view but it was not easy as the window is high...

Nice location, a bit older building but OK. It was nice and clean, everything you need for a sleepover in Budapest.

The property was good for the price. It was within walking distance from several places and a couple metro lines or buses. Mainly it gave us me and my friend the chance to have individual rooms for our budget. The breakfast was simple but good. 2 of the three reception staff members that I met where friendly and helpful. The third one maybe want as friendly but he was really helpful as well. They helped us book a shuttle, and opera event, and gave us some tips. 24hrs reception staff.

The facilities could be in better shape but in general they are ok. The rooms smell a little bit old/humid but putting the A/C on would help. For the price we paid I wanted expecting anything to luxurious. despite that, the rooms were clean and pretty big. Cleaning staff came every day to offer cleaning. The bed wasn’t too comfortable es other but it wasn’t terrible.

The place is located in a very good place. We got exactly what we paid for- yes, the rooms, bathroom are older, but it also costs much less than other places around. It was very clean and the staff is really nice. The best is the rooftop breakfast with that view - again, it's not very rich, but we definitely didn't stay hungry, at least the coffe could be better. Overall it is a good place to stay, especially when you mostly need to sleep here and most of the time you are exploring this great city.

Level walking distance from Nyugati Train Station ---> Facing Nyugati Train Station, Turn Right, 10 - 15 minutes level walk away from Nyugati Train Station. Polite, English speaking reception made check-in and early wake-up possible. Huge air-conditioned rooms, clean and comfortable beds. Curtains, Balcony for a beautiful sunrise. Property has breakfast included, but due to early check out, I was unable to attend it. Taxi - 12000 -13500 forint to Airport

Good property for budget short stays in the capital.Sadly, the property required maintenance on an internal door, but I was assured all would be repaired within an hour at 6 am.

Amazing value for money. The hotel is old so it's not in a perfect state, but they are trying to keep it clean and functional. If you're not too picky it will be ok. Breakfast was really great and the location is perfect, exactly in the middle of 2 centers - 15 min walk to Vorosmarty square and Danube and 15 min walk to Heroes square.

It's old so it's not in the perfect shape - the cover of the sink on the floor in the bathroom was broken and the water condwnsed on the ceiling on some places so it leaves stains and drops sometimes. Parking is not included in the price, it was ok because during the weekend the street parking was free (and there are plenty of places in front), but during the weekdays it could be a problem)
