Y Hotel Hong Kong

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, all the room amenities of a premium hotel at a great price. Nice touches included an adult and child mask, full amenities in the bathroom, great shower. Staff were friendly and upgraded me to a high room for my first stay. The hotel is brand new and it shows.

Nothing. The room was on the small size but for the price I had no complaints. Only slight niggle is that the deposit they take for the room takes up to a month to be refunded, according to the reception staff.

The hotel is clean. It’s a small hotel, management works hard to give an impression of a more high-end establishment. From the neat entrance with beautiful aroma as soon as the automatic door opens, to the details in the bathrooms, it was welcoming despite locating in the dried seafood district.

The rooms are small, challenging to have two suitcases opened at the same time but we knew this already. This is compensated by other pluses of the stay, e.g. nice coffee at reception, coffee capsules in the room, nice toiletries, cleanliness, etc. Wish there’s a family suite for 4 option though.

Y Hotel was very close to many local restaurants, wonderful cafes, the MTR, and tramways. It was conveniently located near central, which made it easier to go out, shop and return. The room service was exceptional as they would restock the bathroom amenities every time.

As Y Hotel is located in an area surrounded with dried seafood, you will smell the fishiness once you're outside the hotel. The hotel room we were in was nice but it did not allow for more than 2 luggages to be opened as it was quite small.

Hotel is relatively new and clean. Basic amenities are provided. Room is not huge (which is typical of Hong Kong Hotels space) but toilet is relatively big given the room size. I got a sea view room which I appreciates. Hotel is located along the old Sheung Wan area with residential and commercial (dried seafood). There are lots of eateries and cafes around.

The lift is quite confusing for a start, as the concierge is located at level 3. Could be troublesome if it rains, as we need to cross the road from MTR station and the roads are not the best for dragging luggages.

Y Hotel is a new beautiful hotel in Sai Yang / Western Sheung Yan. It's right on Des Voeux road so it is very easy to zip over to Central, Wan Chai, or Causeaway Bay. Easy to get into any form of transportation like bus, tram, subway or cab. The room is definitely on the smaller / efficiency side but everything is very nicely done. If you are looking for value in an expensive hotel city, definitely check out Y Hotel

Rooms were on the small side, but it is to be expected for this price point in HK.

1. Therapeutic harbour views of transiting ferries. 2. Easy access to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park. 3. Short walk to Ping Kee for traditional HK breakfast & Kwan Kee for claypot rice dinner. 4. Smartly designed room with quality toiletries & branded trio of shower necessities. 5. Coffee capsules with demitasse cup. 6. Quiet neighbourhood with quick connection with short walk to Sai Ying Pun MTR & tram lines in front of hotel. 7. Great stay, staff friendly & helpful.

I had a lovely room overlooking the water which felt like a nice upgrade. The room itself was really clean and there was a safe. The staff were also very lovely and allowed me to extend my check out till 1pm. Location was also good! In a more suburban area but 15-20 min walk from central.

It was perfect for 1 person but 2 people may have struggled for space. It was also possible to hear people outside the room and there also was no hand soap in the bathroom. In terms of facilities I would have liked it to have had a gym

Every floor has four rooms. The room I got faces the sea. Beautiful views when the sky is clear. Bed is large and comfortable. Toilet is spacious in the context of Hong Kong hotels. Each floor is accessible only with keycard, making those concerned about security more reassuring. Bus, tram, MTR options are just nearby. Plenty of food options in the vicinity.

very clean and fresh great view of harbor area accessible to tram ( best cheapest & transport in hongkong for me) best bed ever ( been traveling quite for the past months and their’s is really comparable to 5 star hotels)

no resto for breakfast and room dining option; no space for luggages in the room ( good for carry ons only), staffs not in a very accommodating mode ( i guess its their thing in 3 stars hotels here) , do bidet ( OMG its asia and its 2023 guys!)
