H+ Hotel Willingen

Great place to be with families. Surrounded by beautiful valleys and hills. Quiet and peaceful. The hotel has a kids play room, swimming pool, dinner buffet and great breakfast to offer. The Winterberg centrum is 25kms (around 30mins drive) from the hotel. The staff were polite and courteous.

Dessert Options in the Sunday dinner menu were minimal. May be they did so since the crowd was less. Receptionist on the day of arrival didn't speak or understand English; although this isn't an issue as Google translate helps. Again not an issue with the hotel but the roads are pitch dark at night, so make sure you plan your roadtrips from a safety POV

We stayed just for one night but the hotel had everything we needed for a family of four. The room size is excellent with a little fridge and kitchen corner. Beds are super comfortable and the view from the balcony is great. It is very quiet overall with amazing indoor pool and sauna facilities included in the price. The pool was open until 23:00! Breakfast was lovely and varied. We will be back.

I have to say if you decide to eat dinner at the hotel the deal is not great and the selection of meals is very limited.

The staff were exception - professional and answered every enquiry. The buffet breakfast and buffet dinner were comprehensive and there were plenty of vegetarian options. We got a ground floor room which was good for our dog and my children as there was a nice grass verge outside - as well as a beautiful valley and hillside and direct access to the car park. The bathroom was a little small but hot water pressure in the shower was amazing. The pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, but were lucky to go when it wasn't too crowded. We didn't go on the rainy days as we though it might be too cold - so can't say too much more about it. Our dog was very happy here and met a few friends. We could take her to the terrace section of the restaurant if we wanted. The bar fridge was a little larger than a minbar fridge so we could get some provisions at the supermarkets at the nearby towns and have cold drinks on the terrace.

The wifi was a bit slow, so we had to use mobile hotspot. The ground floor room was not quite the "valley view" I was expecting - as the view was a car park; although given the positives of the ground floor, I personally would request that in the future.

Very friendly staff, nice breakfast and dinner buffet, spa and pool facilities bigger abs nicer than expected, well organised and safe in Covid conditions, good starting point for hikes

Tiny bathroom with door that closed so that it hit our backs, carpet in the room very stained which gave a dirty impression mich as it was cleaned, had to pay extra to use kitchen equipment, which was not mentioned in the description

The rooms were big and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and fresh. The location was great.

The big stains on the carpet made the room look like it was not cleaned. Also we had a family room and the stove was not cleaned. When entering the room it was a strong burned smell in the room coming from the stove.

We use this hotel each year as we travel through Germany. The rooms are very spacious, quiet and the beds are superb! We love this hotel, especially the swimming pool which is open until 23:00. Breakfast is great and varied.

Spacious 2 and half room apartment. (Cooking herd in the room but was not made available- kept locked). Kids area, pool and sauna. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet spread including salad, starter, main course and desserts. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bathroom was really small and cramped. Half boarding does not include water/drinks. Weak WiFi connection.

3rd time in the hotel...Ideal for families, spacious and comfortable room, excellent breakfast and dinner, nice pool and sauna, friendly staff. Great location - short drive to willingen with plenty of family activities.

10€ for access to the kitchenette, you have to ask extra for a kettle.

Breakfast was ok and the room was clean. However I don’t like carpets on the floor in the room. Notcreally hygienic and for people with allergy not comfortable. We als had dinner in the hotel. 30 euro per person incl one drink. To be honest very bad dinner. Really to be checked.
