Best Western Hotel Windorf

The Hotel is easily found from the motorway which is what we needed on our long journey. It is a nice, very clean hotel with comfortable beds and nice breakfast - although not a huge selection of food compared to other hotels, but if was fresh and we enjoyed our breakfast more that in other hotels. Free parking too. I would stay again at this hotel.

Not a huge parking, spaces might be somewhat limited if you're arriving late. Rooms decor is a bit outdated. A noise from a tram very close by would be annoying if we had a longer stay, luckily a tram didn't operate during the night.

Large and good rooms, clean, excellent breakfast. Staff at reception and breakfast very kind and helpful. The parking area is good. It was what I expect from a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the centre of Leipzig and the area around looks like industrial. There is no restaurants in walking distance. The hotel has restaurant but was closed on Sunday (everything is closed on Sunday in Germany)and we didn´t try it. If you have car is easy to stay there. In Leipzig we went to a bar/restaurant very good and cute in and old train station, called Bayerishcher Bahnhof. They make their own bier and the price is good. The city is very agreeble.

The weather, it was too cold, but it is not a hotel problem and the hotel being a bit far from the city centre.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Leipzig. Ideal location if you are going to the football stadium - you can park without any problems, you are at the stadium in a few minutes by tram. Parking was hassle-free. There is a sufficient number of free places around the hotel. Even though the hotel was fully booked, we had no problem finding a free seat. Parking is free. There is a tram stop within walking distance (approx. 2 minutes) with a direct tram line to the city center (approx. 25 minutes). You won't find much around the hotel. There is one great Greek restaurant and a small supermarket. It is a few minutes by car to Kaufland, where there is also a Chinese restaurant (the food is very average) The room was excellently furnished. Very spacious, wardrobe, table, chairs, plenty of storage space. I really appreciate the minibar or fridge in the room. That was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. There was also a kettle for making coffee and tea. There was no electrical outlet by the bed, but there was an extension cord in the room. The beds were comfortable, wide. The bathroom was very spacious. There was plenty of storage space. The shower was a bit small, but nothing bad. Breakfast was a better average. Everyone chooses, you won't go hungry, but I expected a little more. E.g. if a hot breakfast is already available (eggs, bacon), there could be sausages as well. There could be multiple juices, not just one type. I would also appreciate a little more vegetables, fruit and a more varied selection of salami. Sometimes it was a problem to find a free place to sit. Some guests had to have breakfast outside the premises in a lounge. The hotel has a restaurant for dinner. Prices are rather higher.

In summer, there may be no air conditioning in the room.

I need to start with the following: We were 10 days in Germany and this was absolutely the best breakfast! It was just perfect and I couldn't stop trying everything out! Other than that the hotel is very decent and at a quite normal price. The room is quite large and peaceful, with nice views outside and a small balcony. The personnel was very friendly and everything was smooth. Parking was for free!

We knew it when we booked the hotel but just need to mention that it is outside the Leipzig City Center. It is quite convenient that a tram station is very close to the hotel, otherwise you need a car or a cab and calculate 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Other than that we had two single beds, I don't remember if there was no availability for double bed when I booked.

But noise isolation bad.(wedding outside of our room , they were noisy and couldn't sleep from 2-4 o'clock.) Staff. Not at all friendly (some of them at breakfast. Stressed because they have to many guest , compared to their space for breakfast ) Absolutely miserable the small space. 5/10 value for money We have been in Italy, and there one person made us feel welcome. Here I did not feel welcome , by 5 ladies , worried of the amount of people. The breakfast made this place fall from a 9/10 to 8 And the overbooking and noisy level 10/9. So not more than 8 max Not enough parking space, for the guests. Just nearly ok No aircondition. But no need a actually.

The room is very big, bigger than the most rooms I've been to. The only problem is that the hotel is located in very shady area, there are a lot of abandoned factories around. It is quiet, if you don't mind the tram passing every hour. Breakfast was good.

The balcony entrance is thru the bathroom. And the bathroom had huge windows and door, so you need to roll down the curtains in order to have a shower. If you come here to sleep, it is OK but I wouldn't recommend walking around late at night.

It's a nice place for those loving greenery and want to see the ex-DDR industrial scenery at once. Parking is fenced, just in front and very convenient. I took a room with balcony to avoid claustrophobic feeling you sometimes have in hotels where it is impossible to open the window. Beds are comfortable, everything else - very ascetic, but serves the purpose, nothing more than just a minimum to feel comfi.

On Sundays restaurant is closed, so come with your bockwurst in the pocket. Not much life around in general, one Greek resto at 600 meters, but I'm not a fan of pita gyros for 17 euros, so I went to the closest gas station and bought unavoidable Bockwurst mit Brötchen for 3 euros or so, and was happy with my dinner. Unlike Polish hotels with lavish breakfasts with lot's of choice, here ascetism again, couple of sausages, cheese, jam, boiled eggs and bread. Coffee is standardly undrinkable, for espresso you need to pay extra, for double expresso you will have to pay 4 euros supp. In general, and it concerns most of Eastern German hotels I've visited - manage your expectations, prices follow the Western Germany's standards, rarely - the quality of service.

The hotel is quite new, desiged with taste and maintained very well. Rooms are very clean and with all necessary amenities with large and comfortable beds. Rooms are warm at night (winter stay). Restaurant serves varied and delicious breakfasts. The location of the hotel is great - quiet neighbourhood.

Coffee from an espresso machine is charged separately.

Property was close to motorway which was beneficial for us as we were transiting through Germany. we love the fact that hotel was dog friendly and even got a small welcome pack for our dog which had a sausage snack for out pooch.

hotel it’s a little dated but was very clean so no complaints there.

I liked everything, except that they did not return an expensive thing that I forgot in the room.
