The Originals Boutique, Hotel Roca-Fortis, Rochefort

This is a lovely little hotel, a five minute stroll from the central square with lots of nearby restaurants. The breakfast selection was excellent, with plenty of alternatives for people who want something other than bread or croissants. The owners and staff are friendly and their focus is you, the client. Our room was big, with an entrance lobby, seperate toilet, seperate bathroom, and the actual bedroom was spacious, with a large, comfortable bed, and two armchairs and a table. They have two outside spaces for sitting and an assortment of bikes to hire at 12€ a day. Loved it.

This is a gem of a hotel. Well situated in the centre of the cultural, historical and shopping areas of Rochefort. It is extremely well run by the very friendly proprietors and has excellent well decorated and equipped rooms. It is easy to reach restaurants and all the amenities of Rochefort from the by walking. The breakfasts are very, very good: try the home made brioche if it's available! Car parking on street is made easier with advice from the proprietors - who wwere also very helpful with recommendations for and booking of an evening meal.

On street parking - but that was made easier by the owners advising a range of different options. Initially we were concerned about the building work along the street - but this is all historical renovation and the adjacent building will soon look beautiful

Very close to the town and amenities. Friendly and helpful owners. Easy to park in streets nearby. Good base for coast and day in La Rochelle. Liked the environmental considerations. Good range of items for breakfast.

Minor point: Towels could be bigger and thicker.

Great location and staff super friendly. Our room was very nice, well set up and just what needed. Loved that had stand fan in closet as it was bit warm but it cooled us perfectly. Breakfast was divine on the patio.

Bit of uncertainty as we were unable to get hold of anyone to confirm an early check-in however reception was open earlier than advertised so, in the end we were able to get into our rooms.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming; the rooms were well appointed and very clean; the breakfast was great too. We loved the location! There is a beautiful courtyard and a garden inside the hotel property which we loved. We would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful quirky hotel. Very spacious bedroom and huge bed and fabulous bathroom. Breakfast was generous. Everywhere was clean and smart. The staff were very helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to use this hotel again.

Ambience, traditional French style , lovely room which was very spacious and most comfortable bed .spotlessly clean and attention to detail . Good bike storage . Very helpful staff. Definitely would stay again
