Urban Jungle Hôtel Orleans

The hotel was recently remodeled thoughtfully, and it feels like a posh hipster boutique hotel. The bathrooms are particularly well styled. The rooms are small but sufficient; more importantly, the beds and pillows are new and comfortable (which is not a given in France). Great location right on the edge of the old town, street parking was easy and the main square and nice streets for dining were a short walk away. The owner or manager is friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was higher quality than normal, and the coffee machine is on steroids.

Like many hotels near central towns, it didn’t have air conditioning. Leaving the window open revealed some street noise.

The interior is amazing, be it the front desk, be it the room itself. We love it when we have a water boiler and instant coffee in the room - as we get up early and love to have a coffee 1st thing in the morning. Located near the centre and just a few minutes away from the statue of Joan de Arc and the house where she lived. As it was only an overnight stay on our trip, we just enjoyed that everything is near. Found an amazing pancake shop, so have a walk around. Car park can be paid at the front desk (5 minute walk away, you will get instructions if you tell them that you are arriving by car).

Great location, very easy to find and parking was straightforward. Reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Room was well equipped and a good size, beds were very comfortable. One of the duvets was dirty (not with anything untoward - looked like dirty raindrops maybe from being carried in or brushed against something), this was bought to the attention of the reception staff who changed this without any fuss. The rest of the room was room was clean and tidy.

Room was incredibly warm despite having windows open and using the ceiling fan, this was even with the outside temperature not being exceptionally warm (21 degrees).

The optimum ratio of price and quality. The hotel is located in the city center, just a stone's throw from Place Jeanne d'Arc and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Very clean room, helpful and really nice receptionists. Both guys were speaking English. The breakfast was included in the room price and was quite decent considering the low price of the room. Breakfast room nicely decorated, clean and tidy. We did like that they have got the fridge in the breakfast room and all fresh food you can get straight from this fridge. It's really cosy and makes you feel like at home. Of course, this approach to preserving the freshness of food has a very positive effect on the image of the hotel.

I can’t say that I didn’t like it, but I would like to wish the owners of the hotel to replace the hair dryers, as those in the rooms make a lot of noise, but blow little 🙂

Location is great in the center of the town. Just a few minutes walk to the nearest tram stations for moving around. On the hottest day of 30 deg Celsius, refreshing cool mint water was provided at the lobby for guests, which is very thoughtful.

Not a huge issue, but my room did not have USB charging port, only normal socket port, or it may be that I did not find it. It would provide a lot more convenience if a few USB charging ports are available. Wi-fi was not running smoothly and strong enough for me when I am in my room. This is the only inconvenience I encountered.

Staff was very friendly and made our one-night stay perfect. We stayed in a room with 3 separate beds since we were a group of 3 guys travelling by motorcycle. Due to our late arrival our host sent us clear instructions of how to enter the hotel after midnight. We slept very well and the buffet breakfast was just that what we wanted. We didn't get any fresh coffee buy they had a coffee machine, which was fine. Check out was done briefly and friendly. We met some Dutch people going on lengthily bicycle rides through the Loire during their stay, which is supposed to be 'the right way' of exploring the region.

The receptionist was very welcoming and provided suggestions for local restaurants and entertainment. The hotel is in a great location. 3 minutes' walk from Place du Martroi. We parked at the Indigo parking at Place du Martroi and benefited from a reduce parking fee from the hotel. You pay the hotel direct for the parking which is very convenient. Normal price €30 per day, hotel price €15 per day. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in room 140, the room was comfortable however the door frame in the bathroom needed repairing / painting. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was also peeling due to condensation. I assume these will be fixed during the quieter season.

The location was just great - right in the middle of the city with easy access to bars and restaurants which is just what we wanted for a single night stay. The man on the front desk on our arrival was really helpful and showed us clearly on the map the relevant points of interest and his English was excellent. If you were to judge a hotel by the shower in your bathroom then this hotel is right up there.

The location is great-very central and a brief stroll to Place du Martroi, Maison de Jeanne d'Arc, and many cafes and shops. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful in offering ideas for places to see as well as places to eat. Parking was a very reasonable price for both location and security. Would highly recommend!

I would have liked to spend more time there. ;)

We only stayed for one night on our way to the atlantic ocean but would recommend the Hotel to anybody. We were welcomed very friendly and the communication in English was no problem at all. Great location right in the centre, very good and safe parking solution and a very clean and stylish room!

We had nothing to complain about! :)
